Youth Seminar Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, 8. – 9. June 2013 Robert and C. Haines

On the weekend 8th-9th June 2013, we held our 2nd Youth Seminar in Newcastle. Robert & C. Haines, came representing Youth Ministry UK, to meet with Youth from the North of England. There were 15 participants, 3 coming from Manchester, ranging from 13-24 years old. To begin the first day and allow everyone to be more relaxed, we started with some games and ice-breakers. For some of our youth had not seen each other for a few months.

The theme of the Seminar was "Preparation for Matching and the Blessing". Robert and C. gave a few presentations and testimony of their own Matching and Blessing experience. This was appreciated by everyone, they gave an honest testimony and shared some photos of their families, which everyone could relate too. After a lovely lunch prepared by Aunty Penny, there was time for questions and answers, then Brothers and Sisters divided into groups for more discussions. Most Brothers went to play football or badminton in the blazing sun and Sisters went for a walk in the park across from the community centre. To end the day, everyone was invited to go bowling. It was fun and everyone enjoyed being together in a relaxed atmosphere. Following on the Sunday, we celebrated the Day of All True Things and the 60th Anniversary of HSAUWC, with a service and BBQ , with all Newcastle Church community. Everyone enjoyed the food and time spent together!
