The children

Fourteen children. One True Family.

True Father and True Mother had fourteen children together between 1960 and 1982. Several died young — Hye Jin as an infant, Heung Jin at seventeen, Young Jin at twenty-one. The surviving children have led various missions, ministries, and businesses connected with the global movement.

Of special significance

Heung Jin Nim

1966 – 1984

The second son. He died at 17 in a car accident in which he is said to have given his life for a friend. In Unification theology, his death is understood as a substantial indemnity condition for the True Family and the broader providence.
