Full transcript

A compilation of UK testimonies from October 2013 opens with the worship song "Lord Reign in Me" and continues with Helena introducing her life in Wembley, her five children, and the friends and prayer group who have supported her.

Over all the Earth you reign on high, every mountain stream, every sun. But my one request, oh my only plea, is that you reign in me again. Lord, reign in me, reign in your power, over all my dreams, in my darkest hour. You are the Lord of all I am, so won't you reign in me again? Over every thought, over every word, may my life reflect the beauty of my Lord. You mean more to me than any other, so won't you reign in me again?

Lord, reign in me, reign in your power, over all my dreams, in my darkest hour. You are the Lord of all I am, so won't you reign in me again? Over all the Earth you reign on high, every mountain stream, every sunset sky. My one request, no, my only plea, is that you reign in me again. Lord, reign in me, reign in your power, over all my dreams, in my darkest hour. You are the Lord of all I am, so won't you reign in me again?

Hello — and happy Sunday. Simon asked me to give my testimony about my life, and how I see God working in it. So here it is. Sit back and enjoy, hopefully.

This is a week in the life of Helena. I don't really know where to start, so I'll start at the beginning. My name is Helena, I have five children, and I live in Wembley. I have two very good friends up there — I've been in Wembley, or in that area, for 20 years — and those two friends, without whom I couldn't have got through. One of them is here today.

I also have a very good friend who prays a lot, and his support has been wonderful. Other sisters pray a lot and support me too. Mr. Hayashi has a prayer group on Monday mornings at church — for years now he's gathered us together to pray and support one another. He's like an uncle to us: you go along, ask him, and he helps you. That's one way I feel God works in my life — through my friends.
