An unnamed speaker for the Why I Stayed series explains how a sense of God's call, concern about the harm of pornography, and a desire to commune with God in every relationship have kept them committed to the movement.
For me it was so clear that God had asked me to follow this way, that I couldn't go against it. One concern I felt strongly about was verifying the age of people viewing pornography online — more and more research documents the harm being done to children. I read a magazine on the topic, and in one speech I found a quote that stayed with me: if the heart of God is not moving within your heart, you feel empty. There is one God, who has both a masculine and a feminine nature.
Since 2016 I've been deeply concerned about the problem of pornography — how addictive it is, and the difficulties it's creating in marriages. We are trying to perfect sexuality, because it should be a source of rejoicing and love — only goodness should come out of it. That is the key to changing the world.
Some people are drawn to prayer and devotion; others commune with God through nature. But we are all communing with God. We want God to be part of our lives — part of everything we do, and every relationship we have.
