Bogdan Pammer testifies about experiencing God's loving motherly presence among the azaleas at the Cheon Jeong Complex in Korea on the last day of a two-week stay, and the call to create beauty back home.

I feel accelerated by the sunshine today. Since moving here, I've complained a lot about the weather, and God seems to be showing me: "Don't talk badly about my nation, the United Kingdom." So I'm really happy. Just yesterday we spent the whole day outside with the brothers and sisters of our Welsh community at Cosmeston Lake, cleaning up and having a picnic. It was really nice.

My testimony today is about God's loving motherly touch, which I experienced on my last day in Korea. I'm focusing on this single experience, out of a wide range I had there. It was on the final day of a two-week stay at the central place of our movement — the Cheon Jeong Complex, which means "heavenly garden." And it really is a garden — the azaleas were in full bloom on the last day. On the first day, when we arrived, it was still snowing.

By the last day, two weeks later, the azaleas were out, and I was able to walk up the mountain as the sun was setting. Those of you in the WhatsApp chat have already seen the pictures, but I want to share what I experienced. It was the loving presence of God as a mother. She spoke through me, clearly and fully, through these flowers. It sounds almost corny, but it was real. It's not easy to move me with flowers — but these flowers, and walking up the mountain, and seeing the gentle care expressed in everything that grows, in everything that blooms, in everything that is beautiful, truly touched me. I felt and experienced how powerful beauty is.

Often we don't associate beauty with power, but beauty is so powerful. When I prayed at the top of the mountain, it really felt as if my whole body, down to my feet, was filled with light. I started running down the mountain, skipping like a little boy. It was like skipping and dancing with God.

When I returned home, I saw my own garden with new eyes. After two weeks away, the grass was high, and many things hadn't been taken care of. I realised how much goes into creating such beauty — a great many small acts of devotion and dedication that bring out that genuine beaming, shining beauty.

The grass was that high, and my poor lawn mower was put on heavy duty. I had to make sure there was enough oil for it to handle the work. I felt God telling me: "Okay, now it's your turn — create something beautiful."
