FFWPU USA: Organizational Restructuring, Las Vegas Global Education Center and the Cheonshimwon Providence

2023-07-07 · Source: tparents.org

Thank you for your continued devotion to Heavenly Parent and True Parents.

I would like to begin my letter with an apology to Rev. Ken Doo as well as the US Headquarters on behalf of the First Secretariat, which in error guided the US Headquarters to use the wording “dismissed” in the previous memo regarding Rev. Ken Doo’s former position (as vice-president and senior pastor of Las Vegas).

Moreover, I apologize on behalf of the First Secretariat for not providing adequate explanation following the changes in leadership and organization. Please accept my sincere apologies for any confusion, pain, or misunderstanding this may have caused.

I would like to share with you the following points in order to better explain this recent development in Heavenly Parent’s Providence:

1) Organizational Restructuring and Increased Emphasis on Witnessing for National Restoration

True Parents have ushered in a new era of attendance of Heavenly Parent and True Parents with the dedication of Cheon Won Gung. To make these achievements more substantial, True Mother began the restructuring work of our movement in the hope that we will become locomotives that expand the realm in which Heavenly Parent is free to work, so that all people can experience and can be directly connected to Heavenly Parent’s heart. To this end, True Mother is calling on our worldwide movement for an increased focus on witnessing, aimed at national restoration. She hopes all leaders will return to the mission field and devote themselves to witnessing. For this direction to succeed, she has also reassigned senior leaders to take charge of churches in the hope of establishing effective church models. Among those reassigned to such positions are Dr. Yong Chung-sik, Rev. Naokimi Ushiroda, and the subregional leaders, Dr. Achille Acolatse, Rev. Kazuo Takami, Rev. John Jackson, and Rev. Kevin Thompson. Since all Cheonshimwon Chairs must also serve as senior pastors in a church, Dr. Kim Ki-hoon will serve as both a senior pastor and a Cheonshimwon Chair. In the case of Rev. Ken Doo, he received a special mission that is further explained in the next point.

2) Las Vegas as a Global Education Center

True Mother has been working to realize and further develop the dreams and plans that she and True Father had envisioned together. She has been driven by a commitment to Heaven to achieve all these goals at all costs. True Mother has also been deeply concerned about ensuring that the next generation is well educated and prepared for the future. It is from such a heart that True Mother is working on IPEC and the Familia Cafe in Las Vegas. It is her hope that they will become educational centers where people of all ages around the world can naturally learn and appreciate the heavenly Providence and True Parents. Rev. Ken Doo, who has accepted this

solemn responsibility, will work as the president of these two facilities with the mission of conveying to all visitors Heavenly Parent’s love and will. I sincerely congratulate him on his new mission and pray that Heavenly Parents will guide him in this endeavor. I also hope that all leaders and blessed families in Las Vegas can fully support him so that True Mother’s efforts to continue and expand Heavenly Parent’s hope and True Parent’s vision for Las Vegas and its providential role can bear abundant fruit.

3) The Cheonshimwon Providence to Bring Rebirth through Experiencing Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ Heart

True Mother also emphasizes Cheonshimwon’s central role. She is calling all blessed families to pray and offer devotion at Cheonshimwon to become one in heart with Heavenly Parent, True Parents, and particularly True Mother in order to lay the internal foundation needed to witness. I heard that the new leadership centered on Regional Chair Demian Dunkley has taken the lead in offering prayers and devotions in Cheonshimwon and has just finished a forty-day devotional period. I extend my sincere gratitude and congratulations to you on this achievement, and sincerely wish the United States to flourish as the eldest-son nation that brings True Mother much pride.

Last but not least, I would also like to sincerely congratulate the newly appointed senior pastors: Dr. Kim Ki-hoon, Rev. Naokimi Ushiroda, Dr. Achille Acolatse, Rev. Kazuo Takami, Rev. John Jackson, and Rev. Kevin Thompson on your upcoming missions. May Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ blessings guide you in your new undertaking.
