When I was in England Won Pil Kim talked to me about witnessing at McDonalds

One of my special memories many years ago, is when I was in the IOWC in England.

We had to do lots of witnessing as well as fundraising. One day, I remember, I was feeling very downcast cuz I could not bring any new member to join the church, despite all my great efforts.

One day I then decided to call the Center or Team leader, to tell him how I was feeling. When he answered the phone and heard my sad voice, he replied “oh, Won Pol Kim is here, would you like to talk to him? That was really a surprise. I then hear him speak on the phone.

“Hallo how are you” my reply “Not good”.

Then he said “where are you, I will come “.

After that a brother, who was accompanying him talked to me to find out the exact location where I was. And we agreed to meet at McDonald’s that was nearby where I was.

Just imagine, here I was meeting with True Father’s first disciple at Mc Donald’s.

It was an incredible experience.

What impressed me the most is to witness his amazing beautiful humble heart, filled with God’s love.

At first he just listened to me. I was able to express honestly what I was feeling, all the sadness and frustrations for not having a real breakthrough in Witnessing. When I finished talking, he was smiling.

And he said, to my great surprise, “I know how you feel. I have been there myself in my early years when I joined. Also I had a very difficult time to make a breakthrough in witnessing. But Father always encouraged me, he never criticized me.”

Hearing this from True Father’s first disciple gave me so much encouragement.

After this meeting, he told me, that now he needs to visit some Centers. And asked me “would you like to come with me?” Of course there was a brother with him who was driving the car and also helped to translate during our conversation.

I couldn’t believe he said this. I was feeling so honored to be able to accompany Rev. Won Pil Kim, visiting some Centers. On the way, he suddenly asked,” “are you hungry? And the next thing I knew, we stopped at the drive through of KFC.

Also, I could witness, when sitting next to him, during other meetings how much wisdom and love he shared with members and leaders present.

You can imagine that, after all this experience, I felt completely regenerated, filled with new hope and determination to bring Victory for God.

And I could most certainly eye witness, by meeting True Father’s first disciple, that the closer we are to God the more humble we are, and the more we are able to share God’s love with others. AJU
