THE HISTORICAL DAY THAT GOD AND TRUE PARENTS HAVE YEARNED FOR1 Reverend Sun Myung Moon’s speech at the inauguration of Hyun Jin Moon as International Vice President of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification

This is the first time in the history of the Unification Church—or in my life—that I am holding as precious of a celebration as this one today. I give my heartfelt thanks to God knowing that God has wished and longed for such a day as today, and finally this day has come. When we look at the family of Adam, God is the first generation, Adam is the second generation, and the children of Adam and Eve are the third generation. However, because of the Fall of man, the three generations centered on God were not completed. The providence of salvation has been carried out in order to restore the three generations, and that is the completion of the providence of restoration. Therefore, today’s ceremony is a cosmic incident of assigning the public mission of Heaven centered on three generations. That is how I see it. Since the indemnity for the providence of salvation has not yet been completed up to three generations, there remains the path of indemnity that Hyun Jin must walk with the responsibility of the Vice President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification International. Our hope and wish is that the three generations of indemnity will be victorious and the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in Heaven in the Fourth Adam’s age of liberation will come. We know that this is why we are marching towards that final destination. We have declared that the time of the Completed Testament Age has arrived. What is the Old Testament Age? It was the effort to restore an old promise that had not been realized. The New Testament Age means the establishment of a family as the fundamental unit that the Messiah has to create in order to fulfill that promise. Because that family unit was not established, the providence, centered on the promise of the Second Coming, continues to the realm of world unification where the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth can be realized. We know that there is an age of the Second Coming when the completion of the ideal family on the global level should be accomplished in order to enter that realm. We call this new age the Completed Testament Age. The Completed Testament means the fulfillment of the promise. It doesn’t mean to celebrate an independence day of a nation nor to celebrate a day of establishing the Kingdom of Heaven. The day of celebration that God longs to see is the day of the completion of an ideal family, which is God’s ideal of creation centered on God and His sons and daughters. You should know this. At the start of the Completed Testament Age, I proclaimed the Jardim Declaration. I declared that an ideal family cannot be established without the conditions of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. You should know that God’s ideal has been to see an ideal family established upon the foundation of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience.

Although He wished to see that day, when you think about how much God has been in pain and agony due to the Fall of Adam and Eve, you must understand that Adam and Eve were the ten thousandth generation only son and only daughter, one hundred millionth generation only son and only daughter; not just the seventh generation only son and not even the one thousandth generation or ten thousandth generation only son.2 They were the eternal only son and only daughter. You must think about how painful and sorrowful God was when He lost His only son and only daughter and had to chase them out into the realm of death although they were still alive. Unfathomable grief of chasing out those who are alive into the place of death! Therefore, we must understand that God has been in the position of the king of sorrow and the king of pain, and that humans cannot even imagine the situation of God. However, since the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity was founded, we should comprehend God’s heart and should know that we have the responsibility to liberate God through this path of sorrow in order to fulfill the Completed Testament Age, the age of completion. There have been no true sons and daughters of filial piety in the families that God desired; no true patriots in the nation of God; no true saints in the world of God; and no true holy sons and daughters of God. Therefore, if there is a person who has the responsibility to set the tradition of true sons and daughters of filial piety, true patriots, true saints, and true holy sons and daughters of God, he has the mission of the Messiah and the mission of True Parent to complete the Completed Testament Age. You should know this. In the Bible, it states that he who seeks to gain his life will lose it, while he who is willing to sacrifice his life will gain it. It also says that whatever is bound on Earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever is loosed on Earth will be loosed in Heaven. Why is this so? We have the responsibility not only to go beyond God’s sorrowful situation, but to liberate God’s grieving heart of chasing His one hundred millionth generation only son out through overcoming God’s situation of sorrow. We must recognize how difficult it is to do that, even if we die trying tens of times and hundreds of times. In order to liberate God of such a heart, there comes a concept of believing in God in a position of absolute faith—eternally absolute faith. Love follows the same principle. You should know that you must have eternal and absolute love in order to love God, to the level greater than the heart that God had when He had to chase His own children out of the Garden of Eden. Otherwise you cannot move God’s heart. Where true faith is established, true love follows. True love follows. If true love is planted and sprouted, it should be raised well. Absolute investment is necessary to make it grow big to the level of forgetting the concept of one’s own self. And the concept of absolute obedience is needed, too. Look, faith is a concept, not a reality. That is why it is written in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is the substance of what we hope for but cannot be seen nor touched. That is how Heaven works. Because Heaven had absolute faith in humans, it sought us with absolute faith. Therefore, we

also have absolute faith in it. Otherwise, we cannot be connected to the substance of original love. You need to understand that there exists the top-bottom relationship, the left-right relationship, and the front-back relationship. Centering on love, the position of faith is above, and the position of obedience is below. Also centering on love, if we say on the right-hand side is absolute faith, then on the left-hand side there is obedience. If faith is in the front, obedience is in the back. One body, one mind. So, we cannot have the thought that we do not believe in a God who suffers in pain and agony, even in a dream. Not even in a dream. In that place there is no self-consciousness or self-concept. I should look at that position itself as being absolute and make it real. I should be in the position of an object to absolute faith. Just as God absolutely believes, I should practice absolute faith. I must have the same faith in God that God had in us at the time of creation. When it comes to myself, where can I find absolute faith within myself? That is the problem. You are the descendants of ancestors who were chased out of the will of God. Therefore, all your five senses didn’t become the senses that can have absolute faith. You cannot trust your eyes. You cannot trust your nose, sense of smell, your own words and sense of touch. What about your body? Even your mind is swaying back and forth. In other words, we cannot find absolute faith among the descendants of fallen ancestors. Absolute faith becomes possible only when we find God. God created Adam and Eve as the substantial embodiment of absolute faith, love, and obedience. However, through the Fall, God lost them. Therefore, neither faith, love, nor obedience can be found in fallen human beings, and no human being can imagine how much effort should be made to find them. Nobody knows that the task of destiny is to find Heaven. Because Heaven chased us out to the place where Heaven couldn’t face us with joy, we should be chased out by Satan in order for us to face and follow Heaven. Whenever we are pushed away, we always have to overcome it. Even if you are rejected by an individual, a family, or the entire world with whatever conditions, you should be able to endure and overcome it. Only then can we have the standard of faith in God. When people search for a path of faith or religion, or pioneer the “Way” in order to find God, there has been no man who walked that path with absolute faith in Heaven. All of them were wandering and doubting, swaying back and forth. That has been how they made the foundation of faith, and the results can be seen in what we have as religions in human history. As a result of the Fall, humankind fell from its original position to a position even lower than that of all things. Thus, God has no choice but to treat fallen humankind as if they were below insects. Even though they have been treated like that, in their life or in their path of faith, they must make a determination to believe in God who is the Creator and owner of the universe. They must find the place where they can believe in God as the absolute Creator and the original source of all lives, otherwise they cannot go beyond the position lower than that of all things. Fallen human beings are lower than animals, lower than all things. No path is open for us to go back to the original position of humankind. Therefore, we must restore the value of humans to a position that is higher than that of all things. In the realm of the human world, we must restore our value on the individual level, family level, tribal level and national level with absolute faith. We must find God from the

lowest level and never have even one iota of doubt. Even if we are accused ten thousand times that we fell, we must have an attitude of repentance without believing that accusation. Otherwise we cannot enter the realm of faith in God and God’s love. We may have that kind of concept. However, there is no one on Earth who walked the path of faith or that kind of path of service to society with an absolute standard. There is no one who understood that it is impossible to resolve the han of God and humankind centering on the standard of absolute faith without liberating God from agony and suffering because God lost His creation, which He created upon the foundation of absolute faith. Therefore, in order to comfort God’s heart and to ease God’s pain and sorrow, we need to shed tears tens of thousands of times more than God has shed. We should know this. It is easy to say it. You can do anything in a word. Anybody can say that. But nobody was able to do that. The Unification Church teaches to liberate God. Is it true? But then we have to understand that there is a huge gap between the concept of absolute faith in this satanic world and the standard of absolute faith that God expects us to have in order to liberate God from the han that was caused by the Fall within the pure and original heart of God. These two can never become the same. When we think about God Himself, He has one wish that cannot disappear from His heart even though He has been suffering to deal with this fallen world throughout history. He has been waiting to see sons and daughters of filial piety who can comfort God’s painful heart. Can God find such a son and daughter of filial piety who substantially become a perfect son and daughter of filial piety that Adam and Eve were supposed to have become when God created them with His original love? Do you think it is easy or difficult? It may be easy to say but it is incredibly difficult to achieve. You should understand this. Now, the Messiah was sent. Who is the Messiah? Who is the Messiah, or the True Parents? The Messiah is the perfected Adam. He is a representative sent by God to meet Adam and Eve whom God chased out, to be qualified without creating the han in God, and to become a son of filial piety who can get to the original position of a man so that he can erase the sorrow of God. And the object partner of that representative is a woman, Eve, whom God lost. The person who can become the Messiah is a son of love. In order for him to become the original son of love, when this son of love cries, his parent also sheds tears. His brothers and sisters, his peers, a person living together with him and even angels in the angelic world should cry together. When the son of God and God Himself and the angels are crying together, who can stop their crying? God cannot, because God has been walking such a thorny path. Therefore, when a man who can become the Messiah has a tearful encounter with God, he cannot but cry every time he meets God. You need to understand that he is in the position to shed tears 1,000 times if he encounters God 1,000 times. When the Messiah comes in front of God, he converses with God saying, “God, when You created all the things in the universe—minerals, insects, plants and animals for humankind—wasn’t it to love us and experience joy with beautiful object partners that have the values of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience?” All things, from the lowest beings to the highest beings, are all at stake. All creations in the mineral world, plant world, and animal world need a subject partner. Since all things became dead because of the Fall of man, the Messiah needs to feel the pain of God, the Creator, and re-

create them in order to revive them. He should liberate them. You should know that God, humankind, and all things are in the realm of agony and pain. The Bible says that the creation has been groaning in travail. Because of whom? Because of Adam and Eve. The Messiah, who comes as a perfected person after Adam and Eve, should clean up everything and remove the cloud and fog of ignorance. So, imagine how many tears the Messiah must shed in order to do that. When the morning sun rises, the condition of all things may be cloudy, or they may be changing in the spring, summer, autumn, or winter. Within that kind of environment, a person who says that he cannot encounter Heaven without tears is the representative person of tears and pain. He is the man who will become the Messiah. When God, the king of pain and sorrow, watches him, He would feel sympathy that he is in the same place of sorrow with God not because of himself, but because of all things, human beings, and God. If not, there can be no path of restoration for humankind. You should understand that when it comes to the practice of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience, it can only come after we win victory over all the suffering, agony, and tears. Yet, you do not feel or even think about it. You should understand that you have no foundation to connect absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience with God. What the fruit of absolute faith, love, and obedience means to humankind is that Adam and Eve are found. Before the Fall, the absolute man Adam was the object of God’s absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. If Adam were able to stand in that position, Eve would have become the object partner of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience to Adam. Then, Adam and Eve would have been in the realm of absoluteness and Adam’s family would have been the place where the love of God, Adam, and Eve had settled. That was the ideal of Adam’s family. The very center where they can become one with God is true love. They should have stood in that position centered on true love. When God created Adam, He said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” After God created Eve, God said, “It is good.” Being good means that it can be absolutely trusted, absolutely loved, absolutely invested into, and sacrificed for. I gave an extreme conclusion, but do not get it wrong. What is the difference between Adam and Eve? They are the same in terms of being human beings. However, Eve was created as the object partner of Adam. Eve is female. What distinguishes a female from a male is their love organs. God said it was good after He created Eve’s love organ. You should know that becoming an absolute woman to an absolute man refers to the absolute love organ of the woman. That is the crystal culmination of faith, love, and obedience in front of God. The moment you occupy and absolutely unite with it, the entire universe spins harmoniously. It is the key to and main connector of the universe. The path of true love is the direction that all our five senses combined together head toward. If your conjugal life is centered on the absolute love organs, the couple is headed eternally straight to Heaven just like an arrow or bullet. Are you like that? “I” am born for that. Adam as a man is born for the love organ of Eve, and Eve as a woman is born for the love organ of Adam. Not for anything else. Then you are better than a king of a nation, your grandfather, your father, or your children. Your five senses are mobilized centered on the love organs. When husband and wife have a conjugal relationship in which they are not one in absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience—

if their five senses do not live for the sake of each other—they cannot establish absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience that are the base of their lives on Earth. When you are naked to take a shower, you see the most precious part of your body. That one part is not yours. You should know that it exists for the sake of your spouse. Anything that is self-centered should die. Should perish. Unless your first love blossoms centered on that origin of love, and your family life of love and your glorious life achievement is connected to that love, you have nothing to do with God or history. You should know this. No matter how many degrees you spin around a 360-degree circle, when you stop, you should be able to stand in the right direction of north, south, east, and west just like a tumbling toy. When a magnet is put into an external magnetic field, it spins. No matter what direction a compass is turned in, its needle will always point north to south. In other words, no matter what kind of suffering or difficulty you face in your daily life, even if you become drunk, even if you are kidnapped, threatened, and beaten by gangsters, you should keep the right direction. When you meet your spouse who can change the direction with love, you usually kiss each other first, then what is the part of the body they want to touch next? The love organ feels eternally happy when your eternal spouse touches it and places his or her hand on it eternally. If that is in trouble, your family will be destroyed. If there is something wrong with grandfather and grandmother, that family will be destroyed. If father and mother are out of the right direction, that family will be destroyed. If husband and wife are in the wrong direction, that family will perish. Sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, all of them will be miserable. The destruction of that family will be inevitable. All of them will be in chaos. The reason I am giving you this kind of serious explanation on this special day is because creating an ideal family is never easy. God had absolute faith in Adam and Eve. In order to become an ideal husband or an ideal wife, you must have the heart of a father and mother who love each other even in difficult situations. When Adam and Eve are going to get married, they should want to see how each other grew up, even in the womb of God. When Adam and Eve were conceived in the womb of God and were born, God would tell them that the reason why Adam was born and shaped like that was for Eve, and what Eve had belonged to Adam. So, God who knew all these things saw Adam and Eve growing up. Imagine how happy God was when He saw grown-up Adam and Eve every time? As the joyful thought of seeing them becomes a reality, God feels great joy. It was the day when the joy of motivation became a reality. Have you ever thought that the reason why you were born, grew up, and became a young woman is for your future husband? Let’s say that daughter is Eve. Everything about herself that grows is for the one and only Adam. There is no other path. This is the one and only path for eternity. From this perspective you should know that the concept of an ideal family is not an easy concept. The word “family” in the name of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification is not a simple word. Are families in America real families? No. Absolutely not. So, we have to throw all these American families into a melting pot and re-create ideal families out of them. Do you understand? You need to know how much of a change you have to make in order to create an ideal family. An ideal family! Eminent people in this fallen world think their families are ideal families.

However, you should know that you cannot enter Heaven without completely becoming clean by going through that process. After Adam and Eve married, do you think Adam and Eve ever thought about divorce? Was there any other woman there? Was there an alternative candidate for a stepfather or stepmother? In this world today, particularly in America, America is filled with stepfathers and stepmothers; some families have as many as five. America should perish. If not, it should be made to perish. Who said “amen,” a black person or a white person? It should be a white person. I am not telling you these things to please your ears, but to teach you truth. That is why I am serious. Once your love is given, it should be eternal and never be forgotten.3 If you make your spouse sad even once, when you join the spirit world, that mistake will become a stumbling block. Today we are having the ceremony of appointing the Vice President of the FFWPUI. It is not an easy position to fill. It is an offering, a living offering, a place of offering. We are grateful that the time in which the Completed Testament Age can be proclaimed has come because True Father cleaned up the world. The time has come when there will be no persecution of the Unification Church on the family level. Jesus Christ started his public life with the goal of creating an ideal family at the age of thirty. Yet this was not achieved. However, after families throughout the world received the Blessing, they pioneered the environment of the Blessing beyond nations and worldwide. I am very grateful to have Hyun Jin, who is not even thirty years old, stand as the Vice President of the Family Federation. That is why I, as a parent, am so happy. This is the end. This is the final page centering on fallen humanity. The final page of the restoration through indemnity! Restoration through indemnity is the last page. You have to understand what an amazing fact it is that after severing ties with Satan’s lineage and clearing it away, a new beginning starts as the direct children of Heaven, centering on the family, are able to receive the baton of the victorious realm of the Fourth Adam. Hyun Jin’s children are the fourth generation. You can receive the era of the Fourth Adam through Hyun Jin’s family. Overcoming the realm of the Fall, clearing away everything and uniting that family, God is the first generation and Adam is the second generation. It is amazing that we now stand on the border line where we can enter the realm of Fourth Adam, the age of liberation from indemnity and the era of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, overcoming the boundary of the Fall where the three generations fell. I am going to tell Hyun Jin: I am appointing you that you should become a man who can maintain the realm of absolute faith in front of your spouse, your parents, your children, and the Unification Church members. As your family with your children are heading towards the era of the Fourth Adam’s realm, centering on the top-bottom relationship (parent-children relationship), the left-right relationship (husband-wife relationship), and the front-back relationship (brother- sister relationship), your family must go on to the tribal level and national level. Therefore, your family should complete and settle the environment of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience within the parent-child relationship, husband-wife relationship, and brother-sister

relationship. The conclusion of my talk today is that, even if you live or die, you must achieve absolute faith, love, and obedience. Eternally absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. Whether on Earth or in the spirit world. Forever, do you understand? Today you have to make a decision in your mind: to have absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. Whether alive or dead, whether in hell or in Heaven, my eternal motto consists of these three values. With them I can conquer everything. How wonderful these values are! Amen. My son, Hyun Jin, I expect you, with that faith, to be better than I am and to realize what I couldn’t. How much do I want him to be better than I? Not just 100 times better but 1,000 times and even 10,000 times! God had a great expectation of Adam and Eve. That expectation has not been fulfilled yet. So, I as a father have the same expectation and hope that Hyun Jin will become much greater than I. You should willingly accept that. My son Hyun Jin is more handsome than I, he has more strength, he has greater aspiration; he has even obtained an MBA degree. People say that Rev. Moon failed in business, but he will become a business expert and a best auditor because he has an MBA degree. He will attend the Unification Theological Seminary and will pursue a Ph.D. He will become the greatest theologian and champion in the world who will educate any theologian of the world. When I think of all these things, I bless today as a day of hope to Hyun Jin. Congratulations! Amen! Your mind and body must be united as one. Do you understand? Thus, from Hyun Jin’s point of view, if True Father asks him to do a certain thing, Hyun Jin should come and say, “Father, why should I only do that thing? I will do 1,000 things.” As long as you do that, the future of the FFWPUI will be great. I am so proud. Amen, amen, amen!
