In witnessing, Abel is plus and Cain is minus, and you have to unite them. Even though the minus may be more powerful than you are, somehow you have to make that relationship work like it should. Because God is right behind you, it will work. That is the process of re-creation, and reversing the tide always involves difficulty. Because of love, God had a happy mind when He first created the world, even though it might have been a difficult job. The purpose is what matters, so we can do difficult things with a happy mind. Then what is the objective of true children? It is the same as their parents’ ideal-to help establish God’s original ideal of creation, and help restore all the fallen people. (112-103)
Restoration and Blessing February 2, 1969 Tokyo, Japan
God’s aim was to restore Adam’s family, but Cain’s and Abel’s failure shifted the dispensation to Noah’s family. Through Noah’s family, all human beings in the world were judged by the flood, in order to eradicate Satan’s invasion at the fall. This was God’s providence for salvation on this earth. Later, responsibility was shifted to the family of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and still later to Moses and then Jesus. So we can see that God’s providence for salvation has been prolonged several times. Therefore, we must indemnify that path. In order to indemnify the standard of Adam’s family and establish the True Parents, we must first restore Adam’s three children. (22-190)

The purpose of restoration which returns to the original state is to complete the restoration of Adam’s family; for the Fall took place in that family. God seeks His partner and one central family before seeking to restore a church, a people, a nation, and the world. Throughout history, God sought a true family which could be His ideal object-partner. Such a true family is fundamentally different in its essence from the families we have typically come to know. God cannot establish an ideal nation and world unless He first finds an ideal true family united with God. There lies the principle that an original true family must first be established. The individual is not the purpose of salvation, but rather true families are the basic unit of salvation. (294-67)
