“The Flower of Absolute Value” April 1, 1990

· The topic .of Father’s sermon this morning is “The Flower of Absolute Value.” Can anyone make sense out of these words? It makes perfect sense. You are aware that the five-city speaking tour to Korean residents of the United States was successfully concluded on the 30th of March. One was completed in Korea too. What is the· Unification Church? What does the Unification Church do? Unification is our task. The essence of unification is to unify the mind and body, especially the spiritual aspect. Some unification can be made, but then it can be separated again. We don’t mean that kind of unification but the kind that, once united, would stay that way forever. · How to make this kind of unification? This is a very fundamental and important question. What can we unify with? The common denominators in the democratic world are individualism and materialism. Somehow through these instruments, it is thought that we can all get together, but originally human beings were not supposed to be unified through money. Everyone is clinging to money. People are dying for the sake of making money. They advance their schooling, their knowledge, so that they can eventually make more money. They crave power so that power will lead them to

fortune. They are all geared toward money. Does any original element of life call for money? Would money be that important m our original way of life? No. There are such age-old, historical questions as “Where do human beings come from? What is the purpose of life? What is the relationship between God and man?” Such a philosophical outlook will raise still more questions as we look around at our life and our world. How did the creation become like this? As Americans, we are proud of being Americans, aren’t we? Yet when people say they are proud of America, do we see those Americans cherishing the country, loving the people within it, and bringing everyone into unity? No. They are proud of being an American, but they all want to escape from America’s reality. How can an American find the state of mind where he says, “Yes, I am a real American; I am a unified American; I am really well-united with America itself and I am really proud of it.” Where can we find such an American? It is very difficult now. The unification of the world is a very real matter to us. Today, in 1990, we can reach almost any other part of the globe in one day. Sometimes it only takes half a day. We are in the same-day life realm now. In six more years, there will be a plane fast enough to carry us anywhere in the world in three hours. The unification of the world is a real matter. A mere couple of hundred years ago, the American Indians did not meet anyone except people of their own race, their own neighbors. People travelled a few hundred miles at most in their lifetimes and could not believe that they could ever meet people from halfway around the world. Today, this is an everyday . occurrence. We meet people from far and wide all the time. The era · has changed that much. The task that we must achieve quickly is overcoming linguistic, cultural, val1:1e, and thought barriers. All the conceivable differences between different races must be overcome. That is a real task for us. Varieties in lifestyles must be resolved. With what can we solve those problems? Power? American life is centered on power! Can we do it with knowledge? (No.) Settling these differences and arranging them all into one neat order is something that we must do, but man alone simply cannot do that. Only God can seriously address these issues and make an orderly way. Only a small group of people are qualified to tackle this problem. The majority of people do not even know that God exists--they think their ancestors are apes that gradually evolved into men. They do not know that God created man and that evolution did not bring man about. Under these impossible circumstances, only the group of

people who know that God exists and that God created man, who understand the relationship between man and God, people of a high and deep religion, can even begin to think about solving these problems. There are a lot of religions in the modern world, but what can they do? We already know the extent of their being able to do something. Many religions seek the pinnacle, the top, the highest standard. We have to go beyond that and become very high. Through that we can venture to solve these problems. Such a religion and religious persons have to understand the reality and teach others. This is a very logical conclusion. . For example, if you are to receive a delicate radio signal from very, very far away, you have to have a high antenna and a sophisticated circuit. You need high-sensitivity, high-powered equipment to catch those waves. That is the thought and person of the Messiah. Mankind has been hopeless and helpless--but when the Messiah comes, they think somehow there is hope; somehow he will solve these problems. Is the Messiah only needed among religious people? Non-religious .people need 4im as much as religious people do. Does God need the Messjah also? (Yes.) How about Satan? (Yes.) Even Satan needs the Messiah. Satan does all kinds of bad things and he knows it too--but even Satan wants to live a righteous life. Satan is not so distant from us, because we are all a part of it, aren’t we? We don’t have to travel very far to understand Satan. We want to do right, but we always wind up doing wrong things, don’t we? We always wish to keep up a righteous pace, but we do not, do we? What if the Messiah comes and he proclaims it is money through which we have to unify, that money is our central point? Who then will participate the most in that kind of activity? Bad people will. “Yes!” they will say, and bring all the money and surround that Messiah. Have you ever put yourself in the Messiah’s position and imagined what you would do in order to unify the world? All the major religions have a messianic promise within their doctrines. Christianity believes in and promises the second coming of the Messiah and all the other major religions promise a righteous one to come. Since everyone covets the Messiah, then should we open the door wide or just have a very narrow, small door that you have to squeeze through? If wide, how wide? (Huge.) As wide as the globe-- so wide that everyone can come through. To receive people, will the Messiah give a big feast and invite everyone in, or would he select only a few people? What is your

guess? When there is a big party, who will jump in first--bad people or good people? Conscientious people or greedy people? (Greedy people.) Yes, bad people! Satanic people! Those are the kind of people who jump in first at a party! Do you think the Messiah is in a difficult position or in a very easy position? (Difficult.) The only way for him to solve this problem is not to go to heaven, where everyone wants to go, but to go to the deepest, deepest hell where no one wants to go. He must go to the most difficult place. The road gets rougher and rougher. Father goes all the way down to where it is nearly impossible to go, and looks behind him to see how many people are still tagging along. There are about ten people. All Father needs is one person, however, who is absolute. So Father goes up and down and runs and does everything to elude them and dishearten them so that they will leave. He will continue to do that until he finds one person. It can be either· a man or a woman. Who do you think it will be? Say it happens that all men and women have dropped away, but one woman finally makes it with him to the end. What kind of woman would she be? She would have to be a woman who clings onto him with her very life~ If she dies ten times or a hundred, she still wants to be one with him. (True Mother!) What do you imagine? Can the proud, assertive, knowledgeable women of the advanced countries be this way? Unless they humble themselves, they cannot. Where should unification take place? Up in heaven where it is easiest, or down in hell where it is most difficult? (Hell.) You know the right answer. Did you just answer with your mouth or are you very much aware of this? (Very aware.) What about the American people? Are they an advanced or a backward nation? (Advanced.) They are advanced. Their living standard is high. Typically, they are well-fed, well-clad, have a nice dwelling place, and they do not like pain or suffering. They want a nice life. That is very American, isn’t it? They all want to be up high. But a church that caters to that would plummet down to the ground. Be frank about it. You love what Father teaches, but you hate to carry it out, don’t you? People who feel like that may stay with Father a long time but eventually they will leave, won’t they? What if their religion sends them to Africa to serve? It is a real, practical problem. It is not a laughing matter. Imagine if Reverend Moon had come and thrown many big parties and slaughtered cattle and had big barbecues all the time--what do you think would have happened? Well, you know how human nature is. When they are accustomed to good parties, they soon want better parties. They want to eat more. They want to have more fun. So when the Messiah

instead leads them down a suffering path, is that a smart Messiah and a smart God? (Yes.) Americans will complain all the time. They will say, · “Oh, he’s Korean, that is why he is doing that. He is not American. He does not understand America.” Those who never complained like this, raise your hands. The lack of hands must mean that everyone has complained like this at one time or another. If that is true, should Father feel happy or feel very sad and miserable? Is Father a happy man? He has so few people. When Father gave the Washington Monument rally speech, he proclaimed that he would have a rally in Moscow. At that time, people neither believed nor said, “Yes, Father, we will go ahead and. do it.” They simply couldn’t believe it and said, “Father is only talking big.” People complained like that inside, even after going through the great hardship of the rally of Washington Monument. It’ has been fourteen years since that event. During those fourteen years, did Father live the kind of a life that the average American Unification Church member did, or did Father work and prepare every minute? (Every minute.) Somehow you went along with Father, but did you complain or were you happy to follow him? To say “Not so much” is the American way! You either complained or you didn’t complain. Do you think this is fun or do you think this is really heart-breaking? (Heart-breaking.) Is going to Russia an event for merry-making? (No.) When Father tried to advance toward this goal, which all mankind has to go toward, did we push Father to help him or did we pull on his legs to give him more burden? Look back at what the Messiah and God had to do and how smart they had to be in order to select the right people. The only way to do that is to not have a lot of happy · occasions but to always give more and more suffering. Do you think the method he chose was wise or foolish? (Wise.) Are those who chose the correct answer, wise or foolish? (Wise.) Everyone is blessed with a conscience. The conscience can tell whether they have done right or wrong. The Reverend Moon has been getting more and more famous, not only here in America but everywhere in the world. He catches peoples’ attention--everyone is looking at him. Eventually they will feel that they have to meet him. When they want to meet him, should Father go to that individual or should that individual come to Father? When Reverend Moon stays here in America like Father is doing now and has done in the past, will the people of the world say that he is doing the right thing or will they complain, “Why do you stay there all the time, only in that country?” They will not say, “Reverend Moon, you are doing the right thing,” will they? If Reverend Moon

. stayed here in the comfortable country of America and gave big feasts all the time, then the only people who would cluster around him would be bad people who neither know nor like suffering. Instead, he will choose the country which has the lowest standard of living, like an African country. A communist country would also be very difficult, where the system puts the people in a very difficult situation. Who would be good candidates to go to those countries to serve? Would Americans make good candidates? How many days do you think they will last there? (Years.) Only years? They may not even last three years there. The fact that the country of Russia is welcoming Reverend Moon. is reason for Americans to be ashamed. As you know, Russia has recently instituted an open door policy. This is Gorbachev’s doing and for the first time, this big event is happening in Russia. Father is bringing in a large party of people. If Russia tries to scrutinize them in the old KGB style, it would take months, even years to screen them all. They have to just stamp it and say, “Yes, yes, yes.” They will have to trust that Reverend Moon would never bring bad people to Russia. If Father brought a lot of people in from the outside of the country to America, would the American people believe in Reverend Moon and say, “Oh, he would not bring in bad people. Whoever he brings m will be good.” Would Americans have that kind of faith--now or ever? Soon, you say? Soon is not a real concept. Soon can be a few years. During this few years, Russia may be spiritually elevated very much. No one knows. It’s a really a shameful thing not to be able to recognize Reverend Moon for what he is. One .Russian, who is close to Gorbachev, confessed to Father after reading the Divine Principle: “If we can print 30 million copies of this and distribute it to all the communist party members, especially the young ones, then after they study it, the country will turn around overnight.” That’s what he said. He said, “You will be able to bring more people, educate more people, than you were able to achieve in America and the world for the past 40 years.” What Father has done in the past in 40 years, they can do in a matter of days in Russia. The American mind goes up and down. Don’t you notice it yourselves? When you’re high, you’re very good, but when you’re low, it’s very bad. People under communist regimes are all even, flat. They can never be so bad one day and so good the next. Once they go up, they will make completion. Once an order is given, then they will carry it out immediately. Americans never like to take orders. They are like a blind right eye. The left eye is Soviet Russia. It’s pretty serious.

Father has barely started, but already one hour has gone by. Those who say, “Yes, I’ll follow Father for the rest of my life, eternally, beyond my life,” raise your hands! (Loud applause.) When Father had his special meetings with the Korean residents m the cities, did the American members feel good or bad? (Good.) Father sees it this way. Whether you rise or whether you fall, in success or in failure, you can still go back to your home. Your relatives will welcome you either way. The only place to go back to IS home. The Korean people, from whom Father came, will receive Father either way--when he is successful, they will be happy. When he is not successful, they still have to receive him. Father knows that. Even if Father goes to prison, after coming back out and going home, the Korean people will embrace him. They will never say, “Why did you do that?” or anything like that. That’s the heart of the Korean people. Has Father ever spoken to a group of Korean people here in America? No. Is this a Korean church or an American church? This is certainly not a Korean church. Actually, we should do more for Father because of the fact that Father gave up Koreans in our favor. Until now, Father cast out and ignored the Korean people and loved the American people. That wasn’t easy. The Korean people look at that and complain. · You didn’t know that. How many Koreans have we Americans witnessed to here, while Father was loving us rather than them? How much did we love the Korean people and bring them to the Principle? After a while, if we become accustomed to only receiving and never giving, we will never prosper. We will only go down. Father sees the situation of America very clearly. You may not see it, but Father does. What the Americans have to do is to work one hundred times ·more than they have been for the sake of backward countries like those in Africa. We have to do one hundred times more for the African people than we have done for Korean people. This IS what Father sees for the future--for America’s own sake. Do you follow? (Yes.) Father speaks like this only because Father is contemplating going to Russia for his mission. Father cannot help but wonder what the Russian people will be like and what the American people will be like in the future. Father feels that the only way for the American people to live from now on is to go to Russia and serve the Russians ten times more than they have been serving people here in America and serve the Africans one hundred times more. Father really feels that is the only way for Americans to have a good future. When we hear that, do we feel good or bad? (Good.) You say good but then why are you making faces? You don’t look very happy, but

your conscience knows. Your spirit world will become one hundred times brighter than it is now if you do it. If you go to spirit world now, you will call, “Father, why don’t you come to me--why don’t you appear in front of me?” but you will not be able to see him in spirit world. American members, have you loved Father or have you disliked Father? Which feeling happens more--which is of greater intensity? (Loved.) It’s too easy to say! Have you really? The American people are the most high level, righteous men of the world, right? Why then do you hear everywhere, “Yankee, go home”? . The conclusion is very clear that there is no hope here in America. Can we find absolute value here in America? (No.) Is the Capitol building or the Empire State Building or the Hudson River or the land of America itself of absolute value? (No.) The land can only be the object. It can never be the subject itself. We don’t give -the term “absolute value” to an object. Only the subject carries absolute value. Do the American people have absolute value? We don’t even know what it is. Absolute value is something which has existed for thousands of years. If we go back tens of thousands of years ago, that value was there. That absolute value is here in the present and will continue for all eternity. Absolute value does not change. What about Americans? Are they more characterized by being changing or unchanging? They change every day, every morning. They like a lot of jokes. Are those jokes real or fake? (Fake.) People come to like that. Their jobs are a joke, their work is a joke-- everything becomes a joke. Americans like lightness--they don’t like heaviness or seriousness. Have you ever seen Oriental people laugh as much as the joking Americans? Orientals wait to laugh until their minds and bodi~s are united. Americans don’t care if their body is one with their mind .or not--they just go ahead and laugh. When Father says such a thing, does that mean that Father hates America or rather that .he loves America? Yes, Father loves America, but that is very general. Father is still trying to find one American whom he ~an truly love. We have many people here--leaders included--but Father is still looking for the one American he can love. What if Father cannot find one? Then would Father have to leave this country or ·should he still stay here? That is serious. This is the same criteria that God used on Father. God trusted our Father and gave all the tasks to him, expecting them to be done. In the same way, Father is looking for some American whom he can entrust with the mission, expecting that it will get done. Whoever says, “Father, me. You can trust me,” raise your hands and Father will ask you questions. Father doesn’t see any hands going up.

Father has no intention of relying on Americans or telling them that they should be responsible for the world. Father spoke to the Korean residents and had a high expectation of them. The Koreans are willing to venture even their lives to achieve things. When they understand the will of God, Father expects them to take on even more difficult ventures. Millions of Koreans have come to America. Were they welcomed or disliked by society? (Disliked.) When they understand Reverend Moon’s intention or ideal, they will try very hard. Father gave instructions to build churches in all the different countries of the world. Who will build the biggest church? What race, what nation will produce the most church members? The WASPS-- the white Anglo Saxon Protestants? Will many of them join our church or will there be more Asian people? More Africans? More South Americans, Brazilians--which will come the most to the church? Which nation living here in America supports and loves Reverend Moon and his thought the most? Now we will come to that. Father feels the mission will advance much faster if we bring in all people instead of selecting the upper class white people with their high standard. They are so arrogant and they always draw a line: “This is as much as I will do and I will not do any more. I won’t do it; I won’t take action.” They have that kind of arrogance. This is Father’s thinking and Heaven’s thinking also. Not just the white race, but all the minorities, as you call them, will be in an equal position now. It may be quite possible that God will sympathize more with a small race than He will with the white race if the smaller, backward nations know the heart of suffering and know w~at sympathy is. Do you follow what Father is trying to point out? Still, there is only one Protestant country in the world--all others are Catholic or otherwise. That means that America is Abel’s nation. Every variety of faith and belief is gathered here. Abel me~ns brotherhood, yet black and white are always fighting in this country. How can that be solved? Are those people living in brotherhood? No. Brotherhood is God’s will. Who can correct this? No American church or government leader has been able to correct this. No matter how strong America is, no matter how much military power and knowledge it has, America has not been able to solve this internal problem. Who can solve this? This is the most serious American problem. There is only one answer--the Unification Church. The American people have been against me, against our church, and have wanted to wipe it out, but God doesn’t want that. God protects us and permits us to go on. Reverend Moon remains ·in the United States. It is a bad situation, how much the American people have accused and gone against him. You have to correct your nation’s

people. This is your responsibility; not mine. If you do not correct your people, they cannot come over to God’s side. At one time, the American people were on God’s side, but now it is different. You have to know that. They have become corrupt. Is that true or not? (True.) Can Bush solve the drug problem in America? No matter how powerful America is, no matter how much war they make on drugs, can they solve those problems? Who can protect this nation and change it? Only Reverend Moon and the Unification Church. Now, people should come to understand that. Some say, “Please, Reverend Moon, do not go back home. We need you.” Did Father ever hear that in the past? No. Especially American Unification Church members--can you take an easy way or a difficult way? You are always going to eat at a hamburger house. That’s too easy. Koreans eat kimchee! That’s harder! (Laughter.) Until you change, you are living on Satan’s side, in Satan’s world, on his foundation. You are dwelling there. All of human history has been dwelling there for thousands and thousands of years. How str01;1g Satan’s foundation is. To change, must we go an easy or a difficult way? We must go a most difficult way. No matter how much he wants to change, man cannot. Only God and Father combined into one have the possibility of changing that. Do you understand? (Yes.) You have to have that kind of a place in your heart, a changed and different place. How can you change your root? You must fight within yourself. No one can help you. This is your duty. Unless you change, making things completely upside down, you will not be able to stand up in God’s presence. Do you understand?. (Yes.) Now .we know and we must know even more clearly from now on what Father did here in America. Father has taught all the American members to suffer--to look for suffering and to withstand it. Father always scolded you. Father never said, “Oh, you are doing well.” Instead, Father always said, “You have to change this; you have to change that.” Father said that even to an impossible degree, because this is the only way for America to survive; this is the only way for American members to be recognized by the people of the world; recognized by Satan; recognized by Heavenly Father Himself and by our own True Father. Father spoke of this the other day: Satan is following us. If we go the easy way, Satan will easily follow us to the end. Satan wants to go up to a high, easy place. He is very proud and self-centered. The difficult course is the course Father took. He received persecution from the religious community, he took the persecution of the world, he accepted communist persecution.

The center is at the deepest place and everywhere else is experiencing confusion. They do not know what is going on or where they are. Value is confused--what used to be very valuable is no longer so. Where did value go? Now Father is pulling all the value down here to the center. What is the most important value center? God. Does God Himself need value? No, He Himself has value, but when He has an object of value then His value manifests itself. It comes to the surface. Even God Himself will respect this value absolutely. He will vow to follow this absolutely Himself. Even God needs that kind of absolute value. If God Himself isn’t absolute, everyone will want to come and be connected to Him, and that will be a nuisance. (Laughter.) Once they become one, how can you separate? You cannot. Can you laugh eternally? You have to do a lot of things in addition to laughing. Even love itself will go up at one time and then come down and go up once more. Electricity is this way. Electricity reflects a great deal of wisdom. Waves go up and down--and this is the rhythm of walking too. Everything is like that. Isn’t that true? The universe will push someone . up so he goes up and comes down and goes up again--all this rhythm is continued. · Even God Himself needs some value center which He Himself values and honors. God also has a mind and a body, doesn’t He? Since He has a mind and a body, will it automatically become one? No, it does not, in fact. That is contrary to reason. His mind and body become one centering on something. That is the center of value which His mind and His body will both honor and recognize. He needs that too. Does God need money or power or knowledge--any of these things? No, but He does need true love. Without true love, even God’s mind and body cannot come into unity; they will continue to be separated. So what is the real. origin of the universe--was God there first or was love there first? (Love.) Why? God’s mind and body must be absolutely .one and it must be done through absolute love. Can God take or leave love--or must He absolutely have love? (Absolutely must have love.) How about you? Do you absolutely need love? (Yes.) Your mind and body wants to unite centering on what? Money? Knowledge? Power? No, on true love. Why is that? Because we are the result and our cause is like that. God has become a unified one through centering on true love. How can we unite man and God? That too must be done by centering on true love itself. That is vertical unity, representing the world of the flesh and the world of the spirit. Horizontal unity means unity based on the pair system. Even in the mineral world, there are plus and

minus ions. In the plant world, there is stamen and pistil. In the animal world, there is male and female. All is in accordance with the pair system. (Father draws on the blackboard) This side is male and this side is female. Here is the mineral kingdom, the vegetable kingdom, and the animal kingdom. Closest to the center is humankind. This dissecting; connecting place is the dwelling position. This makes completion. Automatically, the vertical meets there, is centered there. As soon as we unite perfectly in a horizontal way, then automatically the vertical line will come to visit us. This means we must horizontally center on true love. Then, automatically, the vertical comes down to that couple. This is the original concept of creation. This is the construction of the universe. As we can see, the pair centers on this line, and then the pair is this way too, centering on the vertical line. In each place, there is the pair. Even in individual beings, there is the pair of mind and body. As soon as the one side is perfected, the other side will come into existence automatically. Likewise, when a man perfects himself, then the other part of perfection, God, will come to exist right away. Everyone meets here perfectly and that means unity. Everything is united now. All is in duality. God is dual; so is Adam; so is Eve; and so are the children. All meet right here. When love is consummated, there is thunder. That’s when everything and everyone will come to be connected. After that, they all scatter to their own place, but they come again and unite in one place; go away and come again. The meeting place must be here--not here, not there, not anywhere except this one place. Through love, all want to come and join here. God, Adam and Eve, then the child or offspring, will spring up here. Life will be born. God wants unification and Adam and Eve and all the children also want unity--but through which area, which point would all of these unify? It is through true love. At that point, unification is achieved. This is what the Unification Church has been doing. This is what Father has. been doing. As soon as he reached here in perfection, then everything tumbled down. This is what is happening now. Once you come slightly down, by momentum, this goes up, almost automatically, to 80%. From this point on God Himself will pull up too. That is like God breathing. God breathes too. It is the breathing of love, rhythmical breathing. Here is eternal life through love. We have to reach this point on our own before we can feel the breathing of God, before we can feel the impact of God pushing us up higher. We have to get to here (pointing to the blackboard). Here, we cannot. Man and woman want to love each other, don’t they? That is when God is exhaling, after inhaling. When you’re in love, then all of the

power will concentrate on that point. Then after that moment, you’ll feel all the energy going away. Love, too, is like breathing. When that rhythm comes, the partners cannot deny each other; they have to go along. It does not go in different directions but all in the same direction as the rhythm that God is feeling. We feel that rhythm too. Since true love is eternal, true love itself loves, and it is an eternal love, not temporary. It is forever love. True love--”T .L.” --means absolute love. Absolute love is forever, unchangeable love. Do you understand? (Yes.) Once begun, it can continue forever without stopping. God’s true love is forever, eternal. Man’s “T. L.” is also eternal, as is woman’s. Don’t you want that? (Yes.) All of humankind wants that . eternal, true love. Should that connection be eternal or temporary? (Eternal.) Love is everywhere. If you have give and take centering on love, then it continues on in motion, comes into the center, and goes away into the periphery. Since there is a center, you can reach far and not go out of orbit. That center of power is occupied by God. The offspring, the chilqren, are born right here, and the world and the universe are all coming to this place. Reproduction only takes place in the physical world, not in the spiritual world. Centering on the father and mother, God and child, all will serve as a center. Everything comes in pairs. To gather these pairs together, we need both the vertical and horizontal worlds. Centering on the mind and body, the human being becomes the center of two halves. Our vertical line will flow straight only when we have true love. The relationships are such that the husband and wife are horizontal; their children and G~d are vertical. A molecule has all four positions. Everything is in the pair system, everything. Do you understand? Centering on the true love · connection, they accomplish oneness. Perfection takes place centering on love. You need love to be complete. You need love in order for your body and spirit to come together. Have our spirit and body come together completely? No. We have to repair that condition through a religious life, through concentrating on love, eventually bringing our minds and bodies into unity. We have bad, strong habits in our bodies. We have to have a strong deep root connected to our body and centering on that, we have to bring them together. This is actuality. If you number all the combinations, we have a three object or triple object purpose. We cannot do without true love. True love must be in the individual husband and wife, who then get together as a true love couple, and then a true love child can be born out of that. Then that can be God’s true love family. Centering on what can they achieve that? Only on true love itself. It is not God. Even God follows

the law of true love. God created us and everything else as an object to form a true love relationship with. So it can be said that God’s love is eternal, man’s love is eternal, woman’s love is eternal, and children’s love is eternal. No one can deny a loving couple. If someone denies them, the universe will kick him away. We don’t even want to look at that denial. We don’t even want to imagine it. So the true love family prospers eternally, without interference. God’s family equals an eternal family. Everything supports that family. If you only go in a straight line, then you cannot go on forever. By the time it reaches here (Father points to diagram on the board) it goes around and comes back. It makes a circular movement. If one loves and does something for the sake of others, after it is completed, then he will be pushed back up, supported, for his perfection. Do you understand? If he puts 100% into it, then after perfection, that 100% unconditional love, devotion, and investment will come back. If it is not 100%, it cannot return. It cannot make a 360 degree circle. It has to stop right here. If we do this much, the result will be almost instantaneous, almost automatic. Do you follow? When God. created every_thing, He invested 100% into it. For whom? For all of c~eation, for us, for His love objects. Since it reached here, then love returns automatically. Now we · are all willing to bet our lives for the sake of true love, aren’t we? Where does that characteristic or property come from? (God.) God invested His life to perfect His object of love. He invested absolutely everything when He created all things and us, so taking after that characteristic, we want to do the same thing in loving our spouse . . If we want to · become perfect, then we have to invest in making our object perfect, so we have to put 100% into it. The fact that we have a result automatically means that we have a cause, even though we can’t see it. Before we say “woman,” we are already thinking of man. Likewise, when you say “man,” already you are thinking about woman. Is that true? (True.) The fact that woman came into existence--was that for the sake of the woman herself., or was it for someone else? Who is that someone else? (Man.) Here you come upon unmistakable reason and logic--that women exist not for the sake of themselves but for the sake of man. Now you have the perfect reasoning behind it. It is all for true love. How wonderful. How amazing. Does anyone want to complain about that being the purpose of woman and the purpose of man and vice versa? No. That kind of thought is welcome every time, in all four seasons, anytime and forever. This is the Principle: that neither woman nor man are born for themselves. They are born for the sake of the other and for the

sake of love. In order to connect to love 100%, we must have a spouse. Centering on true love, the man and woman will go around and around. Then that center point becomes an axis. So the man and woman come dashing to each other at full-speed. Love takes the fastest way, the shortcut. How strong is that love? Too strong! (Laughter.) When they collide, they will become flat! Woman just hangs on, clinging. That’s because the true love center is man, in place of God. That’s why the woman is created smaller than the man. The man has the seed of life, representing God’s position. Which is the center? (Man.) Ultimately, every answer is the same. The center is man. How about in the current, modern American family system? Who is the center? Satan wants to deny the center. The American family system belongs to Satan’s side. That is why it is crumbling. The parents are lost, couples are lost, the children are lost. They don’t have love. Satan’s purpose is to break up God’s original purpose of creation. That is Satan’s last goal. Do you understand? America is reaching that point now, with Satan’s love system corrupting God’s ideal world of creation. It is the dungeon of hell. The men, the women, the children, are all concerned about external appearances. Everything is upside down. The most precious thing is God’s true love, parents’ true love, a couples’ true love and their children’s true love. True love cannot dwell in the American family system. There is no place for it there. They have completely lost that. How can they find it again? This is the need of the American people. How can they find that kind of ideal, original place? God is not in their churches; God is not in their nation. How can they find that again? The only way is through _the Unification Church. Otherwise, there is no way. Do you understand? (Yes.) When American adults think, “I am living for myself!” this is Satan’s kingdom. How can we change this to the opposite way? “I live for others. That is my purpose. My center is God, my parents, and my children.” That kind of center will become bigger and bigger. The outside and the inside are all covered by true love. For what purpose are we born? (True love.) For whose sake are we born? (Our parents.) Before we get married, we live for the sake of our mothers and fathers, our siblings, and for God. This is the formula everywhere: for Father’s family, our family, for every family. The brothers and sisters want to be loved by the other brothers and sisters. Only after we love them can we expect that love to be returned. If we say, “Oh, my brother and sister have to love me,” then eventually that kind of a person is not needed. We have to live for the sake of others.

The real problem is us. My brother or whoever else is not the problem--it is me who is the problem. We now know and we have a strong, rigid standard. We know who is right and who -is false--we know who is true and who is a phony. We have to correct everyone who does not have this perspective of true love. We have to change them. In a woman, who is the owner of her flower of true love? (Her husband.) That’s right. Your husband. Not you! No matter how much true love you have within yourself, you have to have a partner to be complete. Otherwise, there is no way. This is a clear theological concept. True love does not exist for anyone who centers on himself. Love dwells in he who centers on living for the sake of others. How much true love do you want to have? More than the universe, more than God’s embrace? Your ambition should be that big. Why do you have that ambition in your mind? In true love, everyone’s ambition is fulfilled. No problem. True love pours out and we are completely filled up. “Okay, okay,” we will shout. “Stop there, I’m full!” Then we have no more ambition. Do you understand? (Yes.) You understand more clearly than Father does now! (Laughter.) People will automatically follow that kind of true love, even if they try to cover it up. They feel it. Reverend Moon has changed the atmosphere in America. Recently an investigator went to Danbury to check out what Reverend Moon was like while he was there. The investigator discovered that before and after Father’s time in Danbury, there was a lot of discord and fighting amongst the inmates, but during the time he was there, there were all sorts of good phenomena and it was very peaceful. As soon as Reverend Moon disappeared, the atmosphere got bad again. One loving man, centering upon God, has that kind of power. All of you women have breasts. Who are those breasts for? Yourself and no one else? They are for your children first. The fact that women have big hips is for children; otherwise the children would suffer._ It is all for others. Our children own those things. What about the sexual organ? Is that yours? It is your partner’s. Why? · Everything in this world is made for the sake of others. Your husband is the owner. Likewise, the man’s sexual part is owned by the woman. God is a very smart guy! He changed the owners so you cannot escape! Is this the style of free sex? (No.) How different from the original Principled way free sex is. It is completely the opposite. Free sex is according to Satan’s law; it even endangers one’s health. We have to make a sexual revolution. Otherwise, America has no hope. We are the only ones who can make that kind of revolution by teaching the Divine Principle’s love perspective. That is the only way. Otherwise,

there is no way. We have to take that kind of ownership. They have all forsaken the center. Reverend Moon uses that kind of true love ownership in America. That kind of lifestyle brings power. There are many ex-Moonies are out there, yet no matter what their actions have ·been, they never forgot Father. Why? Because the Divine Principle is the universal, formula way. They were taught that by Reverend Moon and it is undeniable. Did you know that when I was jailed in Danbury, some ex-Moonies made a conspiracy? It started with four of them and they gathered ten together to liberate me from Danbury prison. They called me and sent a letter. They decided we would escape to Mexico and they made preparations to have a helicopter and a car ready. If I had said okay, they would have immediately taken action. (Laughter.) They hadn’t forgotten me. Once they’d had a taste of original love, they could never for get it, no matter where they went. Everything in the universe is made for the sake of others. Everything in this world is made for that. You have to understand that. Women are not made for themselves; they are made for a love life with men. Men are made for a love life with women. Husbands and wives should feel that their own husband or wife is the number one person in the universe. This is a clear way; very different from the way that society leads its life. We want to completely unite them with that kind of concept. Have you ever seen God? No. Have you ever seen your mind? Have you ever seen love? Therefore, people do not know about God, about mind or about love, but the concept is to connect everything all around. That is love. The world centers on love; that is why everything is in the pair system. Do you understand? God made dual characteristics. Look at the mineral world, all of the worlds. Alone, they cannot reproduce. Subject and object must combine. Do you understand? It is a theological conclusion. That kind of action should be centering on the original life essence, which is love. Love, love, love. All the universe’s essence is pulling in the direction of love and love only. Everything wants to connect with one love. Do you understand? Love is everywhere. We do not see that love--it is a concept to us, yet it is so real. The most real place to connect to is in love. The essence and center of any pair is love. True love pulls everything, including God. It is like a fishing pole--everyone wants that bait. True love has that kind of power. How can the Unification Church make unification? By centering on true love. Do you understand? With what? (True love!) Even down to the mineral world, if a subject comes with true love, they all say, “We

welcome it!” The plant world and animal worlds are the same. White people and black people are one. They can be unified by love’s power. Otherwise, there is no way. When that unified world comes, all will sing in praise, “How wonderful you are!” Do you want that? (Yes.) This is your purpose-- your responsibility. Father has taught you that clearly. Now that you understand clearly, that is your responsibility. You must take action. This is the most precious thing--more precious than a diamond mine. Don’t you want to be the owner of that? Don’t you want to be that kind of a person? That is a new breed. Everyone wants that. If you have the most precious thing that you are proud of, you don’t hold it close to yourself and say, “This, this!” You simply don’t do that. That precious thing is too good for that. You have to put it on top of your head where you can most proudly display it. (Laughter and applause as Father demonstrates.) In the spirit world, it is exactly the opposite of here. In spirit world, the person is identified by color. They might be bright red, like Mother there. The most precious thing that God is most proud of, He wants to sit on top of his head and display proudly. He is so proud of it He doesn’t know what to do. What is that most precious thing? That is a true man~ Not Truman, the American president! The man who is centered upon love is a true man. God is proud of that. There is nothing more precious to God. The best thing that God can think of, the best thing that He has is true man. For man, the most precious thing, like what man is to God, is woman. For the woman, man is like that and for man and woman together, God is that precious. From God’s point of view, humankind is the most precious thing. From a woman’s point of view, man is the most precious thing. To the Creator, the creature is the most precious thing. Centering on true love, God and man combined is the most precious thing in the universe. In the beginning, this was meant to be and all would be one. This is absolute value. For God, man is the absolute value and God Himself is absolute value. The absolute center of absolute value means God combined with human beings. Today’s topic is “The Flower of Absolute Value.” What is a flower? A flower is the top. It is the most hopeful place. God plus humankind, centering on true love, is the flower of absolute value. That is the highest pinnacle of absolute value. Going in, going out, laughing, moving-- colorful flowers will abound, covering everything with fragrance, centering on “T.L.” What is the flower? (Absolute value.) The Flower of Absolute Value’s content is “T.L.” “T.L.” Say it again! (T.L. ) In that, every purpose, every ideal is fulfilled. Then everything is fine. Father knows that joy. He knows that the purpose of this absolute value is true love, so Father does not care if he is persecuted. Actually, the fact that Father was persecuted in America was not for himself. He was persecuted for the sake of America. “In the springtime, on the first day of April, with the spring blossoms and the universe, I now know the crux of God’s love--the whole crux of knowledge between mankind and God, thanks to Father.
