The topic of Father’s message this morning is “Parents’ Day and I.” We are members of the Unification Church, aren’t we? (Yes.) Do you know the word tong-il? (Yes.) Everything we see in our world today exists in a sort of duality. You have two eyes, two nose holes, two ears. They are parallel and there are two each. Some single organs have a pair of functions. Even though you have one mouth, you can say good things and bad things with it. With the same eyes you can see good things and bad things and so forth. Even though the body is .· one entity, th~ body is able to conduct good acts and bad. Is that true? (Yes.) Then in order to overcome this diametrically opposing dichotomy of the world, there must be unification. Why is there separation? Why is there no oneness? It is because of the Fall of Man. What was the Fall of Man? The Fall of Man was the action that went against the ideal of creation. What is the core of the ideal . of creation? That is the love of God. There was and is the love and life of God. God doesn’t want to be alone. God wants to have His own posterity, His own generations. In order to do that, there must be God’s blood lineage. The topic this morning of True Parents’ Day is “Parents’ Day and I.” “I” am always the problem. “I” am the center of the problem. If there

had been no Fall, then the love of God, the life of God, and the blood lineage of God would all be united into oneness. Who are you? When you say “I”, you are talking about the fruits of an entire lineage, your ancestral or family tree. “I” am the fruit of that tree. When we use the analogy of a large tree, we can see that there are a great many branches and numerous leaves, with one trunk and one root. However, everything is connected from the root to the trunk to the branches and to the leaves. That tree will bloom and blossom and bear fruit. One fruit of the tree represents the entire essence of the tree: the essence of the root, the essence of the trunk and branches, the essence of the leaves and of every part. You are like the fruit of a tree, but then you become a seed. In order to do that, you have to blossom with flowers. In order to do that, male and female flowers must come together. You are the fruit of your own parents. Your father’s and mother’s love created you. Your parents also had parents, and their parents had parents, and so forth. If you want to become a parent, then you have to be in a pair. A man alone cannot be a parent. A woman alone cannot be a parent. You cannot bear fruit by yourself. In the modem- day, perverted culture, there is male homosexuality and lesbianism. They marry their own kind. What does that mean? That is the end of the human species. There must exist somewhere the original format, the original model, the original blood or tradition that will come down and blossom in ultimate fruit which will represent the original beginning. In the beginning there was true love, true life, and true lineage. That is cause. Do you have love, life, and lineage.? (Yes.) This is the pair system. It is not possible for one alone to bear fruit; therefore, the · pair system is needed. That is an absolute formula. There is no deviation. It is the only way. Without the pair system, there is no multiplication. You can become a recipient of that original love, life, and lineage. The love is coming down vertically. Therefore, you have to be a recipient. In order to be able to receive that love, you must be standing right below that vertical line. The line is not crooked. The ideal is a straight vertical line. True love always moves in a direct line; in other words, it takes the shortcut. True love never beats around the bush. (Laughter) It never wanders around here and there. True love and true lineage always travel the vertical line, straight down. What about your lineage, your ancestral trees? What is the Fall of Man? It is not the damage of one little leaf. The damage was inflicted upon the very root of the tree. In the ideal of God, there was no Fall of Man. If there were no Fall of Man, then the original true love, true life, and true lineage would come straight

down the line from generation to generation for eternity. That was the ideal. What happened was that the true godly love, life, and lineage became satanic and was passed down crookedly and chaotically. What was the action of the Fall of Man? It was the invasion of illicit love. True love was maturing and then there was an invasion that knocked the tree down and took over and planted the illicit seed. Ever since that happened, the true lineage of God has been taken over by the satanic lineage. Now the lineage never travels in a straight line. It is crooked all the time, wandering all over the place, creating perverted love. Those who are deviant always take a crooked route. They want to be hidden. They want to do illicit acts behind the scenes, secretly. Everyone has a conscience. The conscience bothers you when you do illicit things. Yet the conscience is sometimes crooked. The conscience is not in the straight line either. Do you follow? (Yes.) American society today is rampant with so-called free sex and the perversion of the sexes. This is absolutely unacceptable in the eyes of God. Today we are reaping what evil was sown in the first day. That illicit love was: sown during :the teenage years of Adam and Eve. Teenagers worldwide are the fruit and harvest of -that illicit love. That is manifesting itself in teenage corruption, free sex, etcetera. Do you understand? (Yes.) Therefore, the old tree has to be cut off, burned, and a new tradition and new lineage planted. What is the Unification Church all about? What is the teaching of the Unification Church? The teaching of the Unification Church is the Divine Principle, isn’t that right? (Yes.) The Divine Principle is not a theology. Note that this is a very important statement which Father has made. The Divine Princy,le is not a theology. It is a principle formula. This is the principle for humankind. This principle applies to all humanity, so without possessing, without learning and fulfilling this principle, no human being can truly live like a human being and be perfected. A principle is like a formula. A formula fits in everywhere, into every occasion, every circumstance, at all times. The Divine Principle is bringing daylight, so that no one can stay m darkness. It teaches everything: what went wrong, what actually happened, so that through your intelligence you can judge what is right and wrong. Since man has reason, people will choose the right way and move in that direction. What is the focus of that right way? True love, true life, and true lineage are the focus. These three are like the Trinity. You cannot remove one from the three. If you remove love, everything will be disappear. It is the same if you remove life or lineage.

You must realize that God’s love, God’s life, and God’s lineage are going to prosper forever through you, through human beings. The love of God is being passed down through “me.” If there were no Fall, it would have been like that in the first place. Because of the Fall of Man, we’re not in that position. We are in a position to become the recipients of satanic love, satanic lineage. Satanic love is always self- · centered. The love of God is al ways for the sake of others, for the sake of the whole. That is its essence. America today has become a kingdom of individualism. That clearly indicates that this nation belongs to the satanic lineage. That is why free sex is rampant here. It is a satanic problem. It is a satanic strategy to destroy God’s love and truth, God’s life, and God’s lineage. The free world and the communist world were going in opposite directions, yet ultimately they will end up as one world. Today the communist world is crumbling. China is changing and the· Soviet Union is moving toward democratization. That does not mean that God’s ultimate work is done, however. These are only external phenomena. There should be a true revolution of men’s hearts. So far, the history of man has been dominated by Satan. Satan has been leading mankind into hell. There are all kinds of enemies in our world, but the worst kind is the enemy of love. God has been teaching us love and especially teaching us to love our enemies. That is a key term: love your enemy. Why could God not love Satan? God can for give and love satanic man, but God cannot love Satan himself. Satanic man can be changed over to the side of goodness. When a person is completely changed over, switching camps to the good side, then that person can be saved. There is hope. Originally, without the Fall, satanic men would have all been the children of God. Because of the Fall of Man, they became the victims of Satan. Therefore, there is room for love and forgiveness for them, but Satan himself is the one who destroyed the very root of the love of God, so he cannot be · forgiven. Wha~ is Satan? Satan is the enemy of God’s love, God’s life, and God’s lineage. Do you understand? (Yes.) Fallen man is man without God’s love, God’s life, or God’s lineage. He has Satan’s love, Satan’s life, and Satan’s lineage. There is no prosperity in that. Satan expanded his dominion all over the world. Therefore, we truly have to turn upside down and down side up. We have to completely change over. Speaking in the original sense, we can ask a major, fundamental question: “Why did God create the world?” God created the world for the sake of love. That is the answer. What fun could God have all alone--all by Himself? He was lonely. That is not happiness. He created because He wanted to have an object for His love; He wanted someone to be the recipient of His love. God may be absolute and

almighty, but even God would like to have some subject to which He would be absolutely obedient. If He did not, then the great almighty God might say, “You love me. All of you, love me for my own sake.” Then God would be a selfish God. Therefore, God Himself is obeying something--and that something is true love. God is obedient to true love. Therefore, God can command humanity: “Now it is your turn. You must absolutely obey me in true love.” All of creation was created for the sake of love, nothing else. God’s investment in the creation was total; one hundred percent; one thousand percent. Therefore, God wanted His object to be even better than Himself. God did not spare even one single ounce of energy. In that case, the characteristic of love is always that the object must be, should be, and indeed will be better than the Creator. Those who would like to have a wife or husband who is inferior to you, raise your hands, please. You want them to be better than you, don’t you? Where did that characteristic come from? (God.) We inherited that from God. Those who would like to have children who are inferior to themselves, raise your hands. No one. Where did that characteristic come from? (God.) That particular original characteristic we all received from God because God was the initiator of that characteristic. He invested Himself one thousand percent in His creation. He wanted His creation to be better than He was. That characteristic has been passed down from generation to generation up until now, up until you. This is very logical and scientific. The beginning and the end are the same; the same characteristic is handed down, generation to generation. It is cause and effect. That is the unified concept. This particular declaration of the principle--that when God created His object, He made it to be better than Himself--is an extraordinary universal declaration. For the sake of His object, God totally invested everything. Love is the center. The focus is always love. Therefore, love is not coming from me; love is coming from the object. Do you want to receive love? Then you have to be humble, you have to take the position of receiving. Otherwise, love will run away. Men and women are in the horizontal position. The vertical love of God comes right between the two, right in the center between the man and woman. What do you think? Should it be vertical or other than vertical? (Vertical.) The true love concept, the true love direction, is the shortest way. There is only one straight, vertical line and only one dot, one point, where it meets; not two. This is absolute. Absolute love travels the absolute vertical line and lands on the absolute one dot. There is no deviation.

Adam and Eve were born on that one true love dot. God’s love landed and the result was Adam and Eve. They were supposed to travel ninety degrees, growing up, maturing, and then they would travel the horizontal line and meet horizontally in ~he center. That was the original ideal. This is ninety degrees (referring to a diagram on the board). The crossing line between vertical and horizontal is also ninety degrees. Coming down this way, it is 45 degrees. Up, down, left, and right combined are ninety degrees. Men represent the east and women represent the west. As they grow up, teenagers feel a certain emotion of love inside and they travel horizontally. Where do they meet on the. horizontal line? In the center, where the vertical line hits. It is a head-on collision! On the road you would fear that, but in heavenly love, it makes you spin around. (Father and Colonel Pak demonstrate, hugging each other and dancing around. Laughter.) It is like the direction of a clock. True love turns in the same direction. What about the earth? It revolves from the east to the west. Love is like clockwork. (Father again demonstrates with Colonel Pak. Laughter and applause.) That is the ideal love. There is no resistance. They just completely turn together. True love is welcomed everywhere. When you travel with true love, anywhere and everywhere, from one end of ·the world to the other, from the top of heaven to the bottom of the earth--it doesn’t matter. True love travels and is welcomed. In true love, humanity floats and turns all around. Then where should God be? God should be in the center. God has to be the axis; appreciating and enjoying it all. “This is great; fine; wonderful; everyone resembles me.” God is enjoying humanity. (Applause.) How about you? Are you in that state? True love is the vertical · line for the sake of the universe. Do you understand? (Yes.) When you search and seek after love, you must think on the scale of the universe. Think “I am a representative of universal love and universal life.” When the world is asking you to give, you are always willing; ready to give, to sprinkle love. True love comes down through the vertical line, not the horizontal line. Therefore, the supply depot is infinite; it is coming from God’s love. Therefore you can give out love to an infinite degree. Your supply will never end. Whoever lives with this vertical true love, this concept of universal love, is the true son or daughter of God. Amen? (Amen!) Wherever true love is, there is true life. True love, true life, and true lineage are always connected. The lineage comes with marriage. One self alone could not create a lineage. It must be a man and a woman vertically connected to the true love tradition.

When you inherit true love, true life, and true lineage, then that tree becomes your tree. The root is yours; the trunk, branches, and leaves are yours. Therefore, throughout the world, in nation after nation, humanity is composed of my brothers and sisters. It is one family of man. In the case of that one tree, energy flows from one end to another. By the same token, the energy of the universe flows from one end to the other without any resistance. There are no boundaries. True love breaks down all the barriers of the world. That is the Unification Church’s way of life. What about the Unification Church’s marriages? We don’t recognize any national, cultural, or racial barriers. There are no boundaries; no walls. What about you? Are you Americans? (No.) What nationality are you then? You are citizens of the Unification country, that’s what you are! (Applause.) It means absolutely existing for the sake of others. True love is giving love, committing love, investing love. It is just like in physics. There is a low pressure area. When a low pressure area is built up, a high pressure area automatically comes into being. They come together, automatically making a circular line. When this absolute love is in motion, absolute infinite energy is activated. It is boundless energy and absolute eternal power. Do you like that? (Yes.) Now you know it well--better than I do! Is it clear? (Yes.) Now you hav~ become great and valuable persons! The greatest! (Applause.) This works on every level. A good example is what happened after World War II. The United States was at its highest pinnacle of power after World War II. God gave the world unto the bosom of the United States. The U.S. did not fulfill the will of God at that time and instead only thought about its own prosperity: “That’s mine.” They took a selfish point of yiew as . far as national policy went. If the U.S. had embraced a more universal, God-centered way on a universal scope, and had existed for the sake of serving all of humanity, that would have fulfilled God’s will for this nation and the U.S. would not be declining now. Israel was God’s chosen nation. Why did they crucify Jesus Christ? They did it out of selfishness. They thought, “When the Messiah comes to this chosen nation, we will be kings. We will govern the world. The . world will be beneath us!” They were selfish-minded. Then they looked at Jesus and that was not what he was teaching. Jesus wanted them to embrace all the world and the universe. No matter how powerful the Israelites were, they did not follow Jesus’ universally embracing bosom. They went the opposite way. The Unification Church is not going to govern the world, be on top of the world, etcetera. We are going to embrace the world, embrace the universe. We are going to plant love with our hearts and minds

and souls for the sake of the world ·and humanity. That is Father’s teaching. That is what the Unification Church is all about--universal true love. (Applause.) This is the final solution to the problems of the world: the united true lineage, united true love, and true life. This is the way in which Father is finally going to solve the problems of the world. Nowhere else can we find a solution. There are great problems plaguing our world. There are racial problems, moral problems, the problems of poverty, disease, and all kinds of other problems. There is one key to solving all these problems. What is that key? (True love.) True love. Love and life which is for the sake of others, not for the sake of oneself. Centering on oneself is Satan’s concept. Going the opposite way and centering on others automatically creates prosperity. Why is that? This is creation’s original love concept. This exactly follows the universal, protecting power. Therefore, prosperity is automatically gained. Do you understand clearly? (Yes.) How can we save this world? It is really rather simple. For example, if the United States became a servant to the African nations, then the African nations would automatically back and support the United States. This is the message of God. This is God’s way to occupy, to take over, to invade in a way! God’s strategy is always to be hit and then take over. He receives persecution and then inherits the ownership. Reverend Moon is the same. He was persecuted all his life by the satanic world. This formula has been secret, historical knowledge up until now. You know now very clearly. Father is absolutely following God’s strategy. Father came to America to use God’s strategy that way. When the United States of America tried to destroy Father in every possible way, Father kept giving to the United States and loving the United States and creating all kinds of facilities and organizations for its sake. He concentrated especially on helping young people, like you. As long as you are here · in the United _States, the United States will not crumble, it will not be destroyed, it will not decline--because of you. (Applause and cheering.) Since the beginning, the policy of serving and existing for the sake of others, the way of true love, was God’s tradition for every creation from minerals all the way up to the highest creation--man. · All along the way, the tradition of existing for others must be followed. Every creation and creature in our world today and throughout history has been seeking their true love partner. They are looking for the other half of their pair; their opposite; someone better than themselves; an object. This is the vertical true love line and this is the horizontal true love line. (Father points to the blackboard.) You see only the surface, but Father is talking about the globe. It is three

dimensional. God began and completed the creation in this fashion-- the vertical line would be in the center and the horizontal line would be having give and take on the circle line. Every creation in the universe, from the minerals to the advanced kingdom of the animals and the supreme creation of human beings, all follow this pattern and exist in parallels. Even for a rock, even for this carpet, this action of the give and take of true love is taking place. The vertical line and the horizontal line are always there, crossing and existing in pairs. Nobody can invade the vertical foundation. No one can knock it down. That is what vertical is--it is the backbone. As long as you have that, no one and nothing can invade. When you look at molecules, a plus ion and a minus ion come together to create a molecule. However, even God cannot force them to unite. It has to be a natural reaction, a natural coming-together. God cannot forcefully put them together. Do you understand? (Yes.) The theory of evolution is declining now, even in the scientific world. Father absolutely rejects the theory of evolution. In order to advance, there has to be give and take between a plus and a minus. There is no way that a lower element like an amoeba can automatically and in a random fashion become an advanced animal. When you are in love--husband and wife--would you like to have some third person, some third element invade that line? Those who would, raise your hands. No. Unification’s mission is to create a healthy world. According to evolutionary theory, an amoeba evolves and advances to a higher life form. Eventually, life forms like monkeys advance to the human being stage. Are our ancestors monkeys then? (No.) In order for monkeys to become men, two monkeys must bear a baby that is like a child. Suddenlv, two monkeys would produce a human being. Is that possible? No. It is absolutely impossible. Here are two birds. They appear to be the same yet they are two very different kinds of birds. Let’s say the two birds mate and lay eggs and hatch them. Is that possible? Could a mixture of two types come up with a viable bird? Is it possible or impossible? It is absolutely impossible. This is the division of the seed or of the species. These boundaries are absolute. God is protecting those boundaries with absolute clarity. The theory of evolution is an evil, satanic theory. What Father is trying to emphasize is that every multiplication is preceded by love. That love is destined for the ultimate love of God. They are all heading for one destination: to be closest to the love of God. Without this loving action, no creature could be born on earth. For that pair system, which was made by God, we should thank God, praise God, and respect God. Mansei! (Mansei! Applause.)

Animals eat plants and human beings eat animals as food. Many people think that is ungodly, pitiful, and so forth. Yet it is not so. That is the purpose of creation. By being eaten by a higher creature, the lower creature becomes part of the higher body and closer to the love of God. If an animal is eaten by man, man is the highest and closest to God, so the animal would rejoice. Through that man’s body, that animal is getting closer to the love of God. Do you follow? (Yes.) This is absolutely the law of love. Even animals are sacrificing themselves for the love of, for the sake of men. Our higher love is whose love? God’s love! For the sake of the love of God, we should be willing and ready to sacrifice ourselves. Then we are following God’s law. Is that true? (Yes.) “I want to occupy God’s love.” When we follow this law of love, then we automatically go up to a high level. When true love comes together, the universe harmonizes with it. Therefore, the universe comes into a position to protect such a love. Satan completely smashed that in the Garden of Eden. There is one absolute vertical line. Even after the Fall of Man, God never changed. The vertical line is still coming down, but the human beings crossed the line at a crooked degree, not at ninety degrees. God’s love moves in a vertical line. Men and women--east and west-- move to a closer distance at the shortest cut. Therefore, it has to be a horizontal line and the shortest cut is only one line. Therefore, when this . line crosses the vertical line, there would be a ninety degree angle. This is the formula position. This is the absolute formula; there is one point. Not two points--not just any point. How about American love? There are all different kinds of perverted and mixed up love. How can that be the heavenly kingdom? Our lives have to be patterned after this formula: men and women, .sons an~ daughters, parents and children. Anyone who does not fit into this formula is destined for hell. Do you want one mind or two minds? (One mind.) Do you want one body or two bodies? (One body.) You want one body and one mind to become one, united into one. Where? At ninety degrees. Your body should come from the horizontal True Parents. Your mind comes from the vertical True Parents, which is God. Therefore, your mind is your vertical self and your body is your horizontal self. True love always comes together and crosses. Right now your body and mind are fighting. Why? Because of the Fall of Man. How can you make them into one? Without true love, it is impossible. Only God’s true love can connect the vertical and horizontal. The vertical spiritual world and the horizontal world of this world must connect, centering on true love. Do you understand? We need human beings on earth as a connecting point between the vertical and horizontal. The vertical line has not much of a place, not

much of a foundation, but the horizontal line has a big place, a big foundation. Man’s place is to dominate the earth--the spiritual world cannot do that. Therefore, God made humankind. We needed this horizontal world to multiply human beings for the spiritual realm. God’s first purpose of creation is to find or create an object of true love. God’s second purpose of creation is to create for Himself a physical form. God does not have a form in the spirit world. Adam and Eve were meant to become the physical form of God and maintain that form even in the spirit world. In that way, we could always have True Parents whether here on earth or in the spirit world. Posterity would grow under them. The one lineage of True Parents would pass down from one generation to another. The third purpose of creation is to create God’s own people, citizens of His kingdom. Since in the spirit world there is no multiplication, God wanted to have his people multiply here on earth and then consummate their lives in the spirit world. If we had reached this level of true love in the first place and come under the True Parents’ lineage, we wouldn’t need a savior or salvation. We would go directly into heaven. We would be born in heaven and go directly to heaven. Amen! Then we could say: “This world is my country. Spirit world is my country.” The starting point is connecting the mind, which is vertical, and the body, which is horizontal, with true love. We were born at that beginning point. We are the result. Our mind and body, centering on true love, were meant to be one, but because we fell, we lost that true love. This is the problem. The mind and body are at different angles. Who did that? Satan. No matter how difficult it is, we have to find out how to unite our minds and bodies into the ultimate ninety degrees. This means living a religious way of life. Do you understand? (Yes.) By the power of. a religious way of life, we can go against Satan’s world, changing it around 180 degrees, going completely the opposite way. That means separating from Satan and going back to the ultimate ninety degrees. If we don’t follow this way, we cannot separate from Satan. Religion is like a correction center or a hospital in that it is trying to rehabilitate fallen humanity into righteousness and health. As you know, Father is currently on a five-city tour, reaching out to the Korean community in America. Father has spoken in four places already. Father is teaching this particular truth to them: that religion is here to subjugate the body to the will of the mind. If we focus on this for three to five years, the body should be completely subjugated under the will of the mind, which is under the will of God. By doing so, the body can form new habits and a new discipline.

Another way of accomplishing this would be to receive the most powerful energy from the vertical line. That energy would overwhelm the body and the surroundings completely. With that, you would be able to control the body and your surroundings. That 1s another way that religion serves the human restoration purpose. How can you control your body? Satan dwells in the world through the human body. That is why the mind and body are fighting. This is the most bitter war in history. Who can stop this war? Only the Unification Church and the Divine Principle can stop it. Now that you know the Divine Principle, you can control your physical body. That means that the mind and body, centering on true love, can unite into one. That is restoration of the original purpose of• creation. If you make that kind of foundation, God and the universe will welcome you. That is the clear theoretical conclusion. Do you understand now where we are at? (Yes.) Father has always spoken about how wrong the theory of evolution was. Another important argument going on in the outside world is about the materialistic world. They are asking, “Which comes first, consciousness or matter? Concept or reality?” This is another point Father is making to the Korean audiences. They are fascinated. Father uses the example of the human eye. When the eye first comes into being, does the eye know there is sunlight? No, the eye has no idea, yet the eye was made by some will to see sunlight, to have vision. Who had that consciousness? Was it the eye itself? (No.) How about the eyelash? Somebody knew that the atmosphere would have a lot of dust. So a preventive measure was made for that dust. The eyelash was made. Does the eyelash grow knowing, “I’m going to .protect the eye from the dust”? What about the tear ducts? The tear ducts moisten the eyes all the time. Why? Because somebody knew that there is heat in the atmosphere. Moisture evaporates, so without a supply of liquid, the eyes would dry out. Somebody knew. But do you think those tear ducts knew, “I’m going to moisturize the eye”? Some parental, caring heart knew and understood everything and set up an ideal situation. That means concept, not reality, was first. Therefore, God exists. This is Father’s conclusion to the Korean people. What is today? (Parents’ Day.) What are we celebrating? This Parents’ Day is the 30th anniversary of the Holy Wedding of our True Parents. (Applause.) If Jesus had not been crucified, then Jesus would have accomplished the messianic mission and been elevated into the position of the True Parents at the age of 30 to 40. That mission would have been accomplished then and today we wouldn’t have to

worry about restoration at all. The True Parents would have been installed at that time. The installation of the True Mother in 1960 is most significant. This is the 30th anniversary of that and 30 was the age at which Jesus was supposed to accomplish his mission on the national level. The True Parents now are on the worldwide, universal level. In 1960, for the first time in human history, True Parenthood was installed. After 30 years, Father and Mother, together as the True Parents, completely laid the foundation on the worldwide level and the universal level, laying the cornerstone of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. (Applause.) In that 30-year time period, all opposition, all persecution is becoming a thing of the past. Opposition in the free world and in the communist world is easing, passing away. Even Kim 11 Sung’s opposition is being edged away. Father has a special project for Kim 11 Sung. Father has completely set the conditions all around and has consummated not only the messianic mission, but the True Parents’ mission. That means now that Father has finished, accomplished, and fulfilled the mission, Father can ascend into heaven. Mother will remain on earth, but that does not mean that our work will stop. It will go on without any change, straight on to the ultimate goal. The women of the world could not be in a position to be liberated until Mother came into being. Because Mother represents the universal woman of the world, now all the women of the world can receive liberation; complete freedom. This morning at Father’s Pledge service at seven o’clock, Father made that declaration: that women are now liberated because of the accomplishment of True Mother. (Cheers and applause.) Women are now more important, more in the forefront of the mission. The women of the world are meant to be united and women must bring each other into restoration. A women’s league must be created and they must really cleanse the women of all nations. Women have been used as satanic instruments of illicit love. That must be stopped once and for all. Saved women have to help in the liberation of the world. Do you understand? (Yes.) That’s the job. The responsibility is upon the shoulders of women, particularly the women of the Unification Church. All women must be restored. You can bring them one by one to your own home and cleanse them. Women must become heavenly and godly. What is the ideal family? One man and one woman, Adam and Eve. That was the ideal of creation. That’s the way God created man to live. There is absolutely one God and centering upon God’s true

love, that love is absolutely one, indivisible. Both man and woman want to attain God’s absolute one true love. You have to absolutely make the mind and body into one. Then each can connect with the absolute God. A couple like that is absolute, a God-centering couple. This is the original creation point. Do you understand? (Yes.) No matter how difficult it is, we have to go back to this original point. This is fallen man’s mission. Otherwise, we cannot connect to God, cannot go to heaven in the spiritual world, cannot live in heaven here on earth. That absolute, one true love between a couple, centering on God, means that no one can separate them. You know that. You had parents, didn’t you? You were born as the son or daughter of those parents. Nothing can change that, no matter what anyone says. That will be true forever. It is absolute; you are absolutely their child. Who made the original parents’ position absolute? Can it be separated? No. How about American parents? The current American family way is to have a step-father, a step-mother--several sets of parents. That is a destructive way. There is no life, no love, no lineage there. The American people are losing everything. _They didn’t have a world ideal, so neither have they a national ideal, a societal ideal, or a family ideal any more. There is only individualism. How can they go on like that? They only worry about their own lifetime. They concentrate on pleasure, stimulating their flesh, having free sex, drinking, and taking drugs. Satan completely occupies humanity, accusing and taunting God, “How can you restore this fallen humanity back to that original way?” God’s almighty power cannot do that, but through Reverend Moon, He can do that. This is God’s only hope. Remember that Father said the many parts of the body can have two purposes--good and bad? From now on, cut out the bad side completely. “I have only one mind, one sense of smell, one sense of hearing, one sense of touch, one mind, one body, and one love way.” This is the way God wanted it. If you go this way, all of the universe will protect you. You will automatically prosper. This is not a theoretical conclusion. This is scientific, do you understand? Love is a concept. Can you see love? No one can see love. Have you seen love? (No.) Yet love is everywhere. It pervades everything. In the smallest parts of nature, the mineral world, the plant world, love is pouring out. That is the teaching of the Unification Church. The original true love way pulls everything and everything follows automatically. They only need to taste it one time and they will jump up, automatically following. Love has power like this.

The Unification Church has this power, so with that we can save all of humanity. Humanity will follow us with no problem. Do you understand? (Yes.) Once you taste true love, you cannot separate from it; it is unimaginably stimulating. When all things feel that, they get so excited, they end up dancing and jumping. It will be that kind of a world. Once we experience that kind of a world, how can we leave it? No matter how difficult a situation, we will pass over it, going fast, taking the shortcut way, the fastest way. The true love way is always the quickest, most direct shortcut. If you achieved true love in your time on earth and then passed away to the spiritual world then true love action could take you anywhere immediately. The universe is huge, but any time you want to go some place, immediately you are there. There is no distance, no time or space. You can immediately reach any point you can think of. If you do not experience true love, you cannot achieve that. Love has many characteristics, one of which is to pervade everywhere, to dwell or live together, connected. God created all creatures centering on true love. We are to be the dwelling places of God. Your ambition wants to go to the highest point. Every human mind has big ambition, as if they were greedy. How big is that ambition? So big that humans want to occupy everything. Why did God give us that kind of ambition? It was so that we could occupy the center. After occupying the center, everything falls into place, no problem. True love can liberate our huge ambition. This is the only conclusion, the absolute, one conclusion. There is no other answer, no other conclusion. Only centering on true love can we have this huge ambition. Do you understand? We must clearly understand this point. How precious a knowledge this is. How much would it cost to buy? Can all of the American nation change this truth? No. All of the universe cannot change it. Once you occupy this absolute true love, ‘all the univer~e will automatically gather into oneness. God moves to the vertical center place. When Reverend Moon dwells in America, America fills up with an atmosphere of love, does it not? Then when Reverend Moon leaves America, there is a vacant feeling, isn’t there? When True Parents are here, love dwells in every corner. Feeling that, the outside .- world would beg for Unification members to come to their countries. “Father, Mother, please come!” Father stayed a long, long time in America, even though America has been a bad country. In all four corners of the world, people are saying, “Yankee, go home! Yankee, go home! You dirty guy. You come to visit our country and you spread AIDS disease and corrupt us.” No country wants that. They will say, “Moonies, come to our country. Come! Welcome, Moonies!”

Why do Moonies visit a country? It is in order to plant seeds of goodness. Once planted, it will grow, budding out, and ultimately will flower and bear fruit. That goodness will multiply and expand and open up opportunities for that country. Their minds know · that. They will say, “Welcome. Why don’t you come here, Reverend Moon? Why don’t you come, True Parents?” The True Parents are absolutely one and they appear only one time. Everyone thinks money, knowledge and power will make them happy, but those things are always there. What about the True Parents? Will they always live here on earth? (No.) The time of living as True Parents’ contemporaries is only one time. You are in that time, meeting the True Parents. You are receiving education from the True Parents. How precious your situation is. Do you understand that? (Yes.) How precious? There is nothing you can give in exchange for it. If you lose this time, how pitiful, how shameful it will be. Hearing Father’s teachings, if you don’t take action, you cannot make result. You will be ineffectual. Nothing can follow you unless you are sending out those true love signals. No one wants a zero result, so you must work hard and make activity. Why? This is our mission. Today Father declared the liberation of women. (Applause.) Therefore, if Father is alone, the True Parents’ dispensation will go on nevertheless. If Mother is alone, the dispensation will go on. There will be no stop to it. It is all consummated. The outside world is now talking about Reverend Moon celebrating his 70th birthday. Reverend Moon is an old man--who is going to be his successor? Reverend Moon’s wife, who is True Mother, who is only 47 years old. (Applause.) After True Parents, there’s the True Family. Beautiful and handsome families are in line. So what is there to worry about? Father would like to emphasize to the True Family that they should become exemplary in the way of life of True Parents, which is also the way of life of God. There will be more and more emphasis on the True Family. Eventually Father will install a True Family committee or True Family council, where all matters of the church will be discussed and poucy and personnel changes can be made. Besides the declaration of the liberation of women at today’s pledge service, Father declared that Father is the first founder of the religion of the Unification Movement, and Mother is the second founder. She is officially installed today. Women have always been following men, trailing behind, but from now on, you can stand side by side with men. (Cheers.) In any country or Unification Church mission, when Mother visits alone, no one can say, “Where’s Father? Mother, why did you come all

by yourself?” Mother independently represents the founder of the church. (Applause.) In the dispensational period, Father has first of all been working for the restoration of the elder son’s birthright. That has been completed. For example, Christianity as Cain to our Abel, the United States presidencies, and all Cain and Abel situations have been completely restored now. In other words, Father has completed that mission. The birthright has been restored. Father is in the Abel position and the United States is in the Cain position. Even the President of the United States and the nation of America are in a position to hear advice from Father and follow·. Father’s way. Otherwise, this country has no hope for the future. Satan is al ways pulling and pushing mankind into the ditch, into hell. However, God has been creating an orchard of wild olive trees that can be controlled by Him. That special reserved area has been spared by God. That is Christianity. Christianity is like God’s special orchard of wild olive trees. When the Lord of the Second Advent, the Messiah, comes and the satanic world grows weaker, the Messiah will cut the wild olive trees and a new grafting process will take place. When the True Parents came, the right wing and the left wing both declined. Not only communism declined, but · the right wing declined also. Who made it so? God plus True Parents. America doesn’t have proper leadership; nor does the communist world. America could crumble down in hopelessness. No matter how much military, economic, political, and cultural power America might have, it cannot save its youth from corruption. The only solution is Reverend Moon’s teachings. It is the same for the Soviet world. They don’t have a foundation for an ideal world, a utopia. Only the Unification Church has that. Satan was trying to build his own utopia, but our world, the Unification world, is a God-centered utopian world. After World War II, America had control over all the world. Centering on true love, America could have united the world. Evil could have been cut off and the world could have grafted into true oneness at that time. But America united with the Christian world against Father at that time. That means the foundation was lost and Father had to go a wilderness course. Forty years later, it is time again. Father was opposed on all levels, but he surpassed fighting on the individual level, on the family, tribal, national and world levels. America fought against him, but America was the one to fall down. They wanted to eradicate Father’s foundation, but they could not do that. Reverend Moon proclaimed that neither the right wing nor the left wing can save the world. If we want to save the world, we have to digest both wings. In the communist world, they only concentrate on the material world, not the spiritual world. They don’t know the

spirit world exists. The Christian world denies the material world. Neither wing can dominate. Only one ideology can dominate: headwing, Godism. Godism can digest the left and right wings and gather them into oneness, centering on true love. The Divine Principle has the power to do that. It is an eternal foundation. The spiritual world cannot deny it. This earthly world cannot deny it. It is welcome everywhere because it centers on true love. Even the material world, even the mineral world, wants to connect to that kind of concept. Then they will automatically combine into one. That means all the universe will protect them. Who can destroy that? God cannot. Reverend Moon cannot. You cannot. There will only be an on-going march of prosperity. At last, everything will be made into one. That’s it. Everything will be finished; everything accomplished. Mansei ! (Mansei!) Today’s declaration includes not only the liberation of women and the elevation of Mother’s position as the second founder, but at the same time, it means that all the Blessed families of the entire world are now inheriting True Parents’ power. Inasmuch as you are completely united with the spirit of our True Parents, wherever you work, the universe will protect all the Blessed families of the Unification Church with the same power that God and the universe have been protecting the True Parents. (Applause.) Therefore, Father says, be bold and strong. Go to the frontline. Do not retreat. You must move forward, advance, march forward. Go the straight way in a straight line. Do not beat around the bush. Proudly proclaim, “I am a Unification Church member.” Proclaim it to the world. (Applause.) What are Unification members? Unification members belong to True Parents. You are · True Parents’ children. Declare it to the world. Don’t hide it. If you hide it, you automatically invite Satan to invade · you. From now on, proclaim proudly, “We are number one Moonies! We are the number one True Parents’ sons and daughters.” How can Satan then attack you or come to you? Make that kind of consciousness in your mind. Can you do it or not? If you want to be that kind of person, raise both your hands. Beautiful! True Parents have accomplished the restoration of three very essential and important rights. First of all, True Parents restored the birthright of the elder brother and the position of the younger brother. Each one has special rights and the elder brother’s rights have been restored. The Soviet Union is in the elder brother’s position, Cain’s position, on Satan’s side. The Soviet Union represents Cain. Father has been invited by the Soviet government to go to Moscow, leaving April 7th and arriving April 9th. Father is going to

declare the same message he gave to you today in the Soviet Union. (Applause.) Moscow is the ultimate place to make that declaration. Secondly, Father restored the True Parents’ rights. Father’s words will be televised to 270 million people through Soviet national television. Luckily, the Soviet Union only allows one television station! (Laughter.) One commentator can dominate 270 million people. China will come now. The Soviets will come now. Eastern Europe is coming now. Now we should spend much money there. How quickly they would change if we spent as much money there as we do here. This is not joking. This is reality. How much have you loved Reverend Moon up until now? The American people, 240 million people, were against me. I was only one man, by myself. No American leader did all that I did. Until now, I have been taking that kind of gunfire. No one can accuse me. When I finally leave here, do not say that Reverend Moon belongs here forever. You cannot say that because Father’s purpose is to save the world. The communist world is larger than the United States. In restoration or re-creation, the master is not God but man. Do you understand? Man is the center of the fallen world, so in the course of restoration, man must also be the center. If God does not have a center on this earth, God cannot connect with and save this earth, no matter how powerful He is. That is God’s miserable situation right now. The Christians don’t realize that. Only we understand that, the heavenly secret principle. Only by proclaiming this teaching throughout the world can we restore it. You have to recreate the family, tribe, and nation. Up until now, Satan controlled the national foundation. God wants to go over the national and world foundations. For the first time, Satan is letting go· of the national foundation. That is the materialist, idealist communist world. Do you understand? The democratic way is the way of brotherhood. Brothers have always been fighting amongst themselves because they did not have True Parents. Look at the American government, at the parliamentary system. There is a lot of fighting and it is not for the nation, but for their own party. Parents would be worried about the whole nation. In the 1960’s, the era changed. History became centered on parents. That was the spiritual turning point. The democratic world has become corrupt. It is almost perishing. It must turn back 180 degrees, toward the True Parents. Until now, Satan has been leading all of mankind. The wild olive tree orchard of God’s expansion after World War II, the Christian world, could have controlled all the world. At that time, the Parents could have connected both children into one. Our teaching is a

powerful theory, a powerful spiritual way. All the world would have welcomed this Principle. Just hearing it one time they would automatically have followed it. This is a wonderful, powerful, truth. Do you know how much Satan hated that? After we make that kind of foundation all over the country, Satan’s foundation will crumble. The Christians have been against us, all the “isms” have been against us. If you take a historical viewpoint, fighting all those combined forces is like only having to fight once. No matter how strongly the world hit me, I didn’t fall down. March on aggressively, do you understand? Not defensively. Satan’s boundaries and culture have to be pass_ed over and destroyed quickly. How about that? Can you do it or not? (Yes.) Just follow me, follow my path. Do you understand? (Yes.) Go out to the frontline. God lives in the same way Reverend Moon does, so the spirit world will help you continually if you have that kind of standard, that purpose. This is the Principle perspective. Father has already mentioned that in his dispensational work, first of all the birthright of the brothers has been restored. Secondly, True Parenthood has been restored. If they had not fallen, Adam and Eve were supposed to be the first True Parents. If he had not been crucified, Jesus Christ was supposed to be the second True Parents. Father has accomplished, in a way, three parent levels--the Adam and Eve level, the Jesus level, the Lord of Second Advent and True Parents’ level. As God sent the Messiah down to the world, now True Parents can send you out as the Tribal Messiah. The Third Adam is the Lord of the Second Advent, the True Parents. That is Father’s position. Since that particular position has been restored, from now on, the parents can be restored. We can go out and reach out to our parents. That is the hometown dispensation, because the parents now assume Adam’s and Eve’s position. That means traditional religious work is no longer needed. The entire world can now enter into the chosen or restored realm. Now that Tribal Messiahs are going out to their hometowns, what purpose have they? Their purpose is to save their parents so that their parents can take over the Adam position. The Tribal Messiah’s position is Jesus’ position. The beginning of a tribe is a family. The beginning of a nation is a tribe. Vertically speaking, you have only one set of True Parents, connecting all three levels of the True Parents: Adam and Jesus and the Lord of the Second Advent. Horizontally speaking, this whole restoration is to become united with one parent. One parent becomes one tribe and one nation. There’s the Old Testament Era, the New Testament Era, and the Completed Testament Era all becoming united as one.

Where you were born, your hometown, shall become the Kingdom of Heaven. When you restore your hometown, your own parents become true ancestors, not fallen ancestors. You have to go back to your hometown. This is the reason why. The original hometown is Father’s hometown, True Parent’s hometown; however, you are becoming a tribal leader. Therefore, your own hometown becomes your Kingdom of Heaven and Garden of Eden and from there the new generation begins to prosper. True Parents’ family creates a vertical line. Your own family creates a horizontal line, so that all are inter-connected, and combined. Vertical love comes first. Therefore, you love True Parents’ family more than anything else. That comes first. Then you love your own horizontal family and tribe. Satan will wait in vain. After the restoration of the True Parenthood, the final, ultimate restoration was the kingship of the Kingdom of Heaven. Adam and Eve are not only the father and mother of the family, they are also the king of their family, the king of the tribe, the king of the nation. Therefore, the consummation of the True Parents means that the lost kingship has been restored. That date has been declared. It was February 27th, 1990, that Father declared the restoration of the kingship. This declaration was on a worldwide level. The Messiah comes to restore the wild olive tree orchard. So far, Satai:i has been in the head position and all of humanity was following him. Satan led humanity into hell. Then the Messiah comes, trying to create the wild olive tree orchard (that is, the chosen nation) and trying to restore the people. God was all the way behind, all the way at the end. God has been working with the various religions. In World War II, God covered the . entire world and sent the True Parents, the Lord of the Second Advent. When the Lord of the Second Advent came, the entire world should have welcomed him, especially the Christian world. Instead of welcoming the Lord of the Second Advent, they all rejected him. Therefore, re-restoration work has begun, in a 43-year period. 43 years represent 4,300 years of Korean history. In 43 years, Father laid the new foundation from scratch, from nothing, all the way up to the entire democratic world, the free world and the communist world, which now has to come to follow Father. Father is holding left and right, the left wing and the right wing and making a complete about-face. What do we mean by that? Satan had to go all the way to the rear. Father, True Parents, are now all the way out front, leading mankind. However, Satan is trying to chase the True Parents and the True Parents’ flock, the family. In order to cut off from Satan, Father has to create an obstacle or ditch. That is 180 degrees the opposite way. In order to separate from Satan, instead of

going in a straight line, we are going down into the ditch, we are going the difficult, arduous path. The more difficult, the better. The deeper the better, because Satan does not like that. He goes after comfort. So, when you create this kind of deep ditch, Satan cannot jump in and follow you. Satan doesn’t take that kind of way. Satan is too proud, too centered on himself, and doesn’t like to follow behind. This is why Father is asking the Unification Church to go the road of suffering, so that you can separate from Satan. This is not the American way. Americans like freedom and happiness, the enjoyable way. America is Satan’s prosperous world. How can we get away from that? Only by taking Reverend Moon’s way and going down. That is why the Unification Church welcomes persecution. Which way do you want? The easy way? The way with a lot of space, the flat way or the deep way, which one? (The deep way!) That is not an easy way. It is so difficult! What is the purpose of the Unification Church taking that way? The purpose is a simple one: separating from Satan! Satan is the historical enemy. He is a very smart guy. All throughout history, he has been accusing man before God. Reverend Moon is more smart, however, so he can understand Satan’s strategy. I will take completely the opposite way from Satan, 180 degrees different. Satan cannot follow that way, so the safest way is the most difficult way. Do you understand? (Yes.) Is this good or not? (Good.) What is it good for? It is good for completely separating from Satan. How many times has Father gone to prison in his life? (Six times.) In the future, I am willing to go to a Soviet jail too. Not matter how difficult it is, Father is going the straight way, not the crooked way. Do you understand? That is the most righteous way. If one doesn’t take that kind of direct, straight, and righteous way, Satan can accuse you. Do you understand? The purpose of the difficult way is to clean ·everything up_. What kind of way are the American Blessed Couples taking now? Are they taking the difficult way? We have many family members, but we don’t yet have a nation. Who can protect you and your family? If some satanic national power comes to control us and we are taking the easy way, we have no protection. You have to know that point. No matter how difficult it makes your family situation, we have to make a national foundation. Do you understand? (Yes.) Otherwise, all the Unification tribes will crumble down because we don’t have the power of a nation. How can we attain that national power? Ultimately, the only way is by following, obeying. That is the only way. If you follow the easy way, God cannot dwell there. That is the clear theoretical conclusion.

Do you understand? (Yes.) No matter how difficult it gets in your family and your tribe, we have to win a nation. This is our life’s ultimate purpose. We have to become those winners. From there we can take ownership and fulfill God’s original purpose of creation. Otherwise, there is no way. Without that, Satan will always be claiming ownership. Do you understand? (Yes.) You have to know that clearly. Which way shall we take--the nation-saving way or the family- saving way? (Nation.) Shall we take the nation-saving way or the world-saving way? (World.) Shall we take the God-saving way or the world-saving way, which one? (God.) God. Our ultimate purpose is to liberate God, centering on true love. All of humanity was following Satan. God is now out front. Right behind God, the True Parents are leading the new race. All the fallen race can now be restored, cleansed, and joined into the new race of the True Parents. That means we are going back to the original Eden, the ideal world. We will have heaven on earth and in the spirit world. Today the topic of Father’s message is “Parents’ Day and I,” meaning you yourself. Today’s gift from the True Parents is true love and True Parenthood, so that you can become like the True Parents. Even God is obedient to true love. True love is absolute. Father has already mentioned over and over this morning that true love is absolute investment, total giving. Blessed families, raise your hands, please. If somebody wanted to bargain with you and said, “I will give you the United States: I will give you a billion dollars--would you give your wife to me?” would you swap? (No!) Are you sure? (Yes!) What about your children? What if they say, “We’ll give you the entire world--” would you give up your children? (No.) Why? Because you need your children to become a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven and so that the Kingdom of God shall prosper here on the earth. The spirit world is infinite. They need a bigger population. The more the better. There is no limitation there. Therefore, the spirit world doesn’t want birth control practised here on earth. As long as you believe in the Unification Church and follow the True Parents, you will go to the Kingdom of Heaven in eternal life. Nothing is better than that. This is good strategy. In the satanic world, many are using birth control. The Unification Church has no birth control. In the end, who shall win? (Cheers and applause.) You may have suffered a lot following the True Parents but has anyone among our members starved to death? (No.) We are trained to survive in a poverty situation. We :are teaching the safest way. We

are trained to defeat the most difficult situation and the most hardships. We have no problems. When true love is given as a gift and we become obedient to true love, then there is nothing more to ask. You can have everything. How can Reverend Moon make these huge claims? He has done it by following the way · he is teaching us today. All his life, everywhere he went, he was persecuted, but he still prospered because he kept on going God’s way. Persecution means inheriting God’s strategy against his enemy. Do you understand? (Yes.) What is persecution? Persecution means inheriting Satan’s ownership and turning it back to God. God’s things, God’s space, and God’s children. Do you understand? Reverend Moon knew that secret, that God’s strategy is to take a hit. Then a better and better position is made. Satan strikes out and he loses. God accepts being hit and He wins. The World Wars were like this. Today is Parents’ Day, a very special Parents’ Day, because Father explained the 30th anniversary of the installment of the True Parents. Today Father gave you true love as a gift. As long as you follow true love, follow the True Parents, follow the true God, what will happen? The Kingdom of God shall become a reality. We shall live there forever. We shall be a chosen and God-centered· people in the eternal life, · beginning right here and going· on forever and ever. Am~n! (Amen! Applause.)
