Leader's Conference: Somebody must sacrifice and stand up for the cause

The ages of 30 to 40 are the most critical time to make an impact on history. Father had already made that impact by that age. You are walking into that age bracket so you must think very seriously. Father had already made national impact before the age of 30. He already knew what direction to go. Father was absolutely adamant to fight the injustice in the world. Challenge the world of crime! Stand up and challenge. Unless you challenge, confront, the evil world will never yield (it doesn’t yield voluntarily by one inch!). Somebody must be a sacrifice and stand up for the cause. That power blows over the evil world and shatters the evil . Col. Pak just reported to Father regarding the third North American CAUSA seminar in Denver. C..-lorado. Father heard that the Americans were shocked about the truth Rijv. Moon is teaching. They’ve come to the realization that the American media has committed an incredible crime, has brainwashed the mind of the American public. Those Americans who came~: ~~e awareness of what Rev . Moon truly is were tearful. This wi~! be happening in history, from now on, more and more, over and over, as soon as the truth is reached. When Fathe+ is no longer on t.1ds earth, you wi 11 be succeeding Father’s mission. You will advocate, propagate Father’s spirit . The same thing will happen to you when you have that strong motivation. Your greatest asset is that you participated in Father’s work during his lifetime, that y~• stood ~p for Father . . . Challenge the world. We need the material, the historical material that shows you have stood up for jus.t.ice . Meet the mayors, the governors. This is a good concept but you have to fulfil! it in the most difficult and suffering manner . In making a new America we need co stand up . We need that kind of bold spirit and challenge. There is no on~ in America who can conquer Rev. Moon ideologically . In terms of achievement, no one can even challenge him. No one has that kind of background. People see Father’s achievements. He is the one who stands uo for justice, fulfillin~ incredible projects such as the Washington Times, Inchon, the CAUSA movements, and the IOWC which is snreading in every state.

June 27, 1983 All of this incredible work has been done under opposition. No one can stand against communism except Rev . Moon. The world of tech- nology also may seem to be far from Rev. Moon, but it’s not true. Everything imder the sun is of interest to God and therefore to Father. Things you have not even conceived of have not only been conceived already, but possibly fulfilled, in the economic world for example. Father is the one who stands up for justice, fulfills incredible projects . You have to challenge the corrupt and existing world . You compare Father to a tiger or a lion? Tiger! You always hesitate . Push yourself . Sometimes you have a great opportimity but you just don’t want to push yourself . to meet the leaders (gov’t). If the Korean leaders don’t push you out, then Father will oush them out. Father would like to create some material for your future. He wants you to have something in history that you can be proud of. Father himself created s.u ch historical material ,mder adverse conditions and incredible difficulties, figh~ing. Even Satan, even God cannot deny that Rev. Moon earned it. No one can touch his accomplishment. ‘:’his is the way you become a chan.pion. If God helps you and spirit world helps you, then do you become a champion? You have nothing to be proud of--it’s their credit, not yours. Give me some support: the budget, more manpower, then we’ll do it. Father did not· come here with money and manpower. If that is the case, anyone can do it. There are so many great accomplishments in the secular world. It cannot become your pride. You state leaders ha~~ been in the Unification Church for so many years. Now , show me ; .· What do you have? You must be ashamed doing nothing and sitting idle, wasting day after day afterday. Your state people will accu&e you, “You knew what R:ev. Moon was doing, but you did not do anything . “ You do need your own accomplishments, your own fulfillment. Father can say in front of the president and senators,” Look, this is what I have done under adverse conditions. Now it is your turn to repent.” There is no way to discredit Father . You are, externally and internally, virtually leader of the state. People are looking for that kind of leadership. If that kind of person is lacking in a particular state they will even ~o hunting for you and bring you into the state . That’s the original mind’s action. Father isoushing you out without giving you support. If Father gives you support, he would make your situation very dismal.

Father wants to make it extraordinary. Heavenly Father wants to give R~v. Moon sup~ort but Father built everythin~. There’s a lonely moment, a desperate moment when you have to kneel down to God and pray. Father has always lived that kind of life praying to God and receiving self-generating power. Then you go out and fight and win the victory. Thus, uhat will become your asset, your property. This is our kind of legacy, our kind of tradition. Fa~her feels he will soon totally fulfill his responsibility to this nation of A!llerica. America will soon come to the realization that what this country needs is Rev. Moon. When they look around for Rev. ~oon, he won’t be in this country anymore. They will have to look for somebody else, and that’s you, who are the replica, the representative of Rev. Moon. At that time you will show them, “This is what I got from Rev. Moon, thi-s is what I did with Rev. Moon. The new tradition of America shall be born under such leadership. By doing so this great nation of America will be reborn. You are suffering deliberate pain, birth pains for this purpose. You will fe~l Juch great blessing and fulfillment . Joy will come in the n~e of your beautiful sons and daughters. You will be so thankful to True Parents. As Father did to you, you will become a forefathe~ to the following generation. Then you will give them the traditiC””’ j~u have inherited frmn Father, talking to them, teaching them. The nc·- tradition in America will spread to the entire nation from the grass roots. You are the onlj hope of America. Father is creating you to be like a stick or a lamp post. Even in a hurricane or a typhoon the lamp pos.t :~ will not break. America is like a ship--she should be kind to the lamp pos.t so she can stay. Otherwise America will be washed away. That is precisely why Rev. Moon has come here, searching after you. Rev. Moon alone has the dignity and the power and the authority to say these things--no one can say the things he is saying. He is speaking of the new nation, the new birth cre.a ted single-handedly by his power alone. Who in America has really cooperated with Rev. -Moon’s endeavor? In a way, it was the American members, but in the tnue sense, no American member trulv understood Father. Time is imminent. The next three years will be the most critical moment . Father then would like to push you out so you can create the material and show the generations your . achievements. Yo.trworn out shoes, tie and shirt that~re wet from your sweat, tears, become a valuable traditional asset for this country. What if Father gives you all kinds of money so you can buy a beautiful car, run around in it, have enough shelter to live in, eat well-- \ ~ Father is riding in an expensive automobile only because of the dignity of you, our church and our worldwide movement. He is re- luctantly using it for the sake of the public purpose.

It is like the White House which needs to maintain a certain dignity, or protocol. By the same token, R~v. Moon, representing God and humanity, has a certain protocol to observe. That’s why Father has East Garden. This does not renresent what Father likes. Father does not want any leader trying to-have an expensive car to move back and forth, etc. Those are not my tradition. •fhose are actions that destroy Father’s tradition. As soon as the external ceremony is over, Father immediately goes and puts on other (inexpensive) things. Father does not want to wear expensive clothes hims~lf--he did not come to America to show off; he came to America to fight on the front line. The showdown is up to you. If you are alive, we win. If you are spiritually dead, with no spirit, no power and no enthusiasm, we have already lost the war. Look how dark Father’s skin is. He did not lie in the sun on a relaxing vacation. He is fighti~ on the ocean and enduring every day leading the Ocean Church (for ten years). There has been no master, no owner of the ocean, no hope in the ocean. Father wanted to harness the ocean and bring the young people to the ocean so that the resources of the ocean shall be harvested. The ocean has been abandoned. Look at what is happening in South America, in Central America. All these have become isolated with the oc~ ~ part being given away. Look at ti1e American seashores, east, west and south. Those sea:,,.~oast towns and ocean ports have become desolate ghost towns_. ‘-._.,/ All ha._ been given away to the refugees of South America with many be~.:ming the route of canmunist infiltration. Those people are harnessing the resources from the ocean. They are using those. dp ·..,J.ate, abandoned ports as their communist bases to conquer Anerica. They use them for a staging area for drugs as for example, with the Mafia, who use those ports for the drugs corrupting American youth. The coast guard and police alone become helpless unless each citizen is willing to p~rticipate in a great crusade. In order not to turn over America to communism, somebody must defend this country. No one is really doing it-- no one is risking i;heir life to do it. While Father is doing it, the local governments persecute him instead of helping him. You know how much p~rsecution they gave Father. Each tuna fishing season is not ·a fun time, but war time. Father knew the experience of catching a giant tuna would be one that members could not forget for the rest of their lives. Everybody is looking for an opporttmity to fish tuna; they wait for one year just for the tuna season. The Euro~ean leaders came with Father and experienced tuna fishing; then they began to look forward to it,hoping that Father would invite them again. In order to make American young people pay attention to the ocean, Father studied how tuna fishing could be made more interesting and exciting. Father is a champion of tuna fishing around the world. He discovered the “Rev. Moon” system. People observed Father’s way of doing it and now they try to imitate him In fact, one fishing shop sells “Moonie” fishing gear. Whatever Father uses, they want to buy. Everybody is following Father.

Usually during the tuna fishing, the rich people would go out at ten in the morning and come back at two or three in the afternoon. Father changed the tradition: he left at two in the morning and came back at ten in the night. Now everybody in Provincetown knows that when the tuna season comes they have to get up at two in the morning. No one can deny that Rev. Moon is the one who is a pacesetter. In sport fishing for tuna, the fishermen used to sell the tuna for 10 cents per pound and sometimes even threw the tuna away. (Father then recounted how the prices of tuna have gone up and how some energetic American youth perceive this as a means to afford purchasing their own boats. He expressed the feeling that seafood would become a most prosperous enterprise.Consult your notes for additional information.) Father has been taking people to the ocean for ten years. Not many leaders are interested in Ocean Church. Father is making a. system for all U.C. leaders to have fishing training. Since American leaders are not showing too much interest, Father is inviting first the Japanese leaders. Father said at the last Sunday sermon that, “If American people could not do it, Father would use Japanese people; if Japanese people could not do it, Father will use Korean people; if Korean people did not do it, he will use all the Blessed children: if the Blessed children could not do it, he will use his own children. · One way or another, it is get- ting done. This is Father’s determination . however, is a seasonal fish. The rest of the year cannot ..’!’U”’l., ·h~ spent idle or it becomes a great loss. Father is studying and researching the species of fish around the year, teaching how to catch the others such as flounder, striped bass, salmon, halibut and others. Father has been studying the flounder for some time and how to catch it. No matter how hard he worked, Father used to catch only tJ flounders a day while .now he is up to 64. Now he is developing striped bass, one of the most interesting, exciting fish; the demand is very high. A person could catch one tuna in the morning and in the afternoon go after striped bass. When you return from this meeting I would like to give you an assignment: study striped bass. What kind of fish are they, with what characteristics and likes? Study them for five years. You think tuna fishing is easy because you go and follow.Father’s method and you catch tuna, sometimes every day. Father invested an enormous amount of time and energy in research. The very first tuna Father caught took 22 days. In those 22 days, Father lost 16 tunas. 16 fights - 16 ran away. He caught one the 22nd day. Can you imagine such perseverance? ~rom that point

{ou don ’ t even think about such tradition. Without even thinking, without ven showing interest, how can you succeed in the sea food business? ‘i rst of all, you have to develop the art of interest. Then you will be ;r eductive; then you can have followers, people who want to learn from you . . r oductivity and economic market viability are there. Father is studying , nd researching, giving his heart and soul to establish this tradition. s it the right thing or the wrong thing? Is it easy or difficult?

Yesterday Father went to the Unification Theological Seminary graduation and delivered the message. le looked even to himself to be so dark that he thought most people must 1ave misunderstood him. “Rev. Moon, is he something else?” Right after ddressing the graduation class he just took off his shirt and went to the i udson River and began to study striped bass. There were a lot of guests - ,o people - and they were looking forward to seeing Rev. Moon, but he asn’t there. So, where did he go? rHe went to the Hudson River . Every- · >ody said, “Is he.crazy?’

h ere was a particularly high wind and the waves were wild, but Father as determined. These things are going to .be a topic of discussion and :esearch about Father. In the future seafood industry; Rev. Moon and his ~e t ermination, his world view and bis ideology of fishing shall go on. fu, ~ather is suntanned to an incredible degree, is it a shame or pride? 1y ‘aoing the most incredible work for the sake of humanity and the future f this country, Father is going to develop catching different species ,f fish. Each fish requires special treatment and a special secret to 1t ch it. Father develops techniques and at the same time, he can teach hose techniques. When you apply those techniques you become an economic- l l y viable fisherman. Then you will think about moving into higher .evel fishing.

) matter what, we have to do it. Organize! We have to win over all the od-given blessings. Father laid the foundation. Father will lead the - adition in America. If you succeed in following that tradition, then ou can inherit the rest of the world. That is what you do. As Father - ought in money for the sake of America, you give money for the sake of 1e world. Do the exact thing that Father did for the sake of America. ‘1en America will survive, and the world will survive. the mission that was given by God. Otherwise those thieves will come and plunder all the God-given blessings. Communism, the mafia, those evil and corrupted forces - all will plunder American wealth. The first plundering action is occuring. Therefore lay a strong foundation, a family foundation, and direct the attention of the young people of this country to the ocean. Show them how to look and how to work at the ocean. You will be a leader by then.

If people knew it is Rev. Moon coming and doing these things, they would be flabbergasted. They never expected in a million years that Rev. Moon would be standing on the top side of the boat with a black face and fishing dress. Father is the archenemy of communism. We must assume that the KGB in the Kremlin already had an emergency conference on the topic and that they decided that this is the one movement that is trying to stop communism today.

(Father then discussed the seriousness and risks of his fishing on the ocean) .

This is a serious venture here on earth. While Father is fighting this kind of battle on the ocean, what would you do on the land?

Father needs to go around to every different region. The regional directors are asking Father to come; the IOWCs want to see Father in their regions - Father knows that. Father feels that while you are doing your mission heh~ an incredible pioneer mission that only he can do. The tuna season is only the months of July and August. For two months’ time, Father must concentrate; he has to. In the meantime, ‘Pather ,’.cannot go to your region. He feels somewhat sorry that he cannot do this. What would you do? ‘’Well, Father is not coming so we take it easy?” Or do you work double, triple, quadruple time to fulfill the mission?

That means that in two months, Father will set the world record~ Are you ready to set the new record? Then the purpose of this meeting is completed. Father feels good. You have determination to set a new record in the next two months as much as Father is setting . a new record in the next two months.

In three years Father would like to see the Ocean Church foundation compl- etely erected. If the state is not doing good enough, these Ocean Church centers can replace the state structure.

Father’s tradition in Japan was not the Japanese tradition; it was Father’s tradition. Why did success occur there? Because they obeyed ·: Father. Therefore, Father wants you to copy that tradition. Because of that tradition, there is a formidable economic foundation that they made. They are using a video witnessing system at the same time to bring in the membership, which is coming into our church in Japan in an avalanche.

We do not have enough facilities to train them in workshop. By the end of April, the VOC movement alone had 1.5 million membership. By September, their goal is to have 3 million. When they read} that level it will become the £oundation for the special Asian projects.

Father would like to implant that same tradition here in America. America needs you! American leaders’ mentality so far, Father has been observing, has not been correct. It is not good enough to do Father’s will. For this reason, the IOWC mission at this particular time is almost like Father ‘s clean up house. Mr. Choi has been elected by Father as the commander of the mobile team and _is to push the team out. Mr. Choi is a tough man and he does not care about his circumstances; he doesn’t consider all the small matters - he only cares about Father’s mission. Push all the way! When we push forward, one of two consequences will come. One is to flatten out, just be completely knocked out. Another way is to penetrate the wall and go in. So, flatten or penetrate the wall like a bullet. In order to penetrate, what kind of characteristic do you need? You must be FAST, SHARP, AND STRONG. Who is faster, you or the Japanese? Only one said us! The rest of you laughed! You admitted defeat. That means that you must make a new beginning. Father does not want you to be defeated by the Japanese. Father wants you to beat the Japanese. Father just never stops making that happen. Even your high nose will become a flat nose and your eyeballs will pop out like pop corn … Father will do it. Nowadays Father heard that in those American-Japanese centers, the Japanese are taking subjective role, so that even English has become Japanese English. Well, Father only wants you to do one thing - it doesn’t matter - English or Japanese - just succeed in Father’s mission. Whichever is the faster way that you can accomplish Father’s, God’s will, that is the way to ~o.

Why does Father feel so urgent? Because Father is 65 years old. In 15 more years, Father will be 80. 15 years is a short time. In the official American system, 65 years of age is the retirement age. Actually Western culture says that when you become 65 years old you are at the waiting station of the cemetery. Whether Father likes it or not, he is in that bracket. If you are really good sons and daughters then you cannot give Father anymore • suffering. You don’t want that, do you?

Every mission, every blessing, every dignity, every power - Father will not give those to anybody until Father sees somebody that is exactly like Father. More than Father - a clone of Father. Since Father is the older generation and you are the younger generation,and American, naturally you ought to be powerful, more enthusiastic, more excited and more committed than Father. Then Father observes, “Now this person deserves my blessing, my inheritance.”

You should beat Father’s standard. That is the way Father is thinking. You do not know God’s will and dispensation as much as Father does. How can you compensate then? By bubbling enthusiasm. Even if you go to spirit world, they will accept you and forgive you … although’ you didn’t know the principle dispensation too well, you demonstrated incredible enthusiasm.

If you don’t do it, definitely Father will do it one way or another. If the Japanese leaders don’t do it, the children of the blessed couples and Korean couples will all come and one way or another - Father is determined to do it. Father will bring all the blessed children here now, bring them out to the ocean and give them all a test to prove themselves.

But I want you to know that you are not hopeless and you are not late; this is the time to do it, your opportunity. ,.____,,

I want you to understand that Father knows, as you know, that is is the United States; white people are _the mass of this country.

American people cannot handle this country without permission from God. This is God’s country! So Father and God will give American people a chance. If they cannot fulfill, then God has to use another instrument, even though they are the minority. God has sequences.

The time will come, eventually, when public opinion changes. They will welcome you instead of persecuting you. Alredy, Father is reaching out to the top policy-making level. So many things are going on. When you look at Father, you find that Father is really a mysterious person. He is a foreigner to this country.

So there is a simple conslusion which is this: the time has come. Whatever Father instructs, whatever Father does, you just give yourtotal commit1Dent. Actually you tested Father out for so many years already. I know that Father tested you out, but you also tested Father out. Everything that Father intended has been accomplished. Everything that you want to accomplish has not been done. Korean leaders are all at the age of 50. Father said for .them to come and leave their families behind. They al1 came. Why do they do it? The Korean leaders did it because for so many years they had so much repentance in their hearts; they had disobeyed on many occasions and gone their own way. It didn’t work. They reach the age of ·so and now they see.

The Japanese Church had this problem, too, in the past. Oftentimes, Japanese people are thinking their own way, the Japanese way . (Father recounted a story where the JapanesaChurch realized the wisdom ‘---…/ of his suggestions). Now the Japanese leaders are seasoned, experienced leaders, so that Father can trust them.

In 1978, Father was already disillusioned about America. The American leadership did not respond to Father. We didn’t have a state leadership meeting, you will recall, for three years. Father did not even meet with you. Now, Father is giving you a final chance ; That is why Father has meetings all the time. Father is now looking at you as the champions and giving you hope. · It is a chance opportunity. Father wants you to wi~ . this is the chance for you to win. Father does not want the white race to be last in the Heavenly Kingdom. I want you to become first. Father · wants America to be first. But it is not just a nominal thing. You have to get down to work and get the job done. This time; Father is giving you help . Father is bringing Korean and Japanese traditions to America and implanting them. The American tradition shall be built on Japanese church tradition, not the Japanese culture per se. The Japanese tradition. is Father’s tradition. Your children will not say that Rev. Moon dis- criminated against white people. They will say that ourforefathers didn’t respond to True Parents too well. ‘’We shall do better”, they will say.

Father cannot sacrifice the time. For the sake of God, Rev. Moon must not perish. Even if the Unification Church perishes, Rev. Moon must not perish because he represents the one hope of God. That is Father’s constant desire. Father wants to survive, prosper for God’s sake. That is the way God is.

The Korean population here in America is increasing incredibly, and this is anther important sign. In the next five years the Korean population in America will grow to 1.5 million. Father yould like to see the Korean population in this country grow to about 3 million. Those people have to come behind Father. If they do that, then other Asians, like the Japanese and Chinese, will come along with the Koreans. They have been persecuted by the white race for so many years. Now God is using a yellow race to bring salvation to the white race. By doing so, they can liberate the white race and the three races can be united into one.

White people cannot fulfill this harmonious role. America is ideal as land of opportunity and land of freedom, if you really want to make it a land of opportunity and freedom. If some people believe in white people’s supremacy, then.that kind of psychological impact must dissipate! This land must belong to all people, to every race, regardless of color. Asian people are in between. Rev. Moon is an . essential necessity in this country, to bring harmony and unity among the races. No matter what the opposition, Father will do it. Father has already been given the authority and determination by God. No matter what you say or what opposition you make, American people make or the American media makes, it will not stop Father advancing.

The time has come. The media has to support Father.· Beause Father is creating his own media world, the Abel media, another media world can compete.

Father’s final message is this: the time has come. You have observed Father for many years. Now you come to the conclusion that Father is always correct, always righteous, always strong and always winning. Therefore, the time has come to totally unite unconditionally with Father. This is the message of this meeting.

Die for the sake of America. That is the most simple message. A~cording to the Bible, on the day you die for the sake of America, America shall revive. America shall resurrect. That is exactly the spirit with which Father came to work in this country: ready to die for the sake of this country. The amazing thing is that God gave the power for Rev. Moon to ·survive up to this point. God’s power is the most focal point of Biblical teaching.

This is the perfection. This is the final message, the final m&.d~:e: DIE FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY, DIE FOR THE SAKE OF AMERICA. When you go over that hill, you are perfected. There are no more Levels to reach. In that case, through Rev. Moon, God will declare to the world, “All is finished, all is done. Amen!” History will end, fulfilling every word of the Bible.

This is a new chapter, a new era, a new history. You are the master of this new history. Bµt in order to do that you have to have the deter- mination. Without that determination you will not even get near it. With the determination to give up your life, you can separate yourself from Satan; Satan will have no business with you anymore. Don’t try to survive. Go to the land of death. That means that God will take your sacrifice, and God will never let you die. That is the Principle.

This is the exact life of Father. He has always been ready to die. This tradition goes down from him to you, from you to all levels. Every member in the Unification Church should be living with this principle. Let us make a resolution in front of Father. As long as you are alive, as long as you are breathing, you cannot complain because you already made that resolution; you are ready to die but you have not died yet.

You can say, “I am still alive! I have got to go on more. I am not yet dying; that means I still can go further. Thank God!”

Look at Father overstrett:hing his strength. His leg is not real muscle at all - it is swollen. His leg is always swollen, for some reason. Even with the overuse of his leg from standing _on the deck so long, Father says, “Thank God! I have not yet died. Iam still breathing. God, I can go on.” One night there was an accident and Father collapsed in the bathroom. Mother does not know, but Father fainted. He got up and the first words he spoke were, “Thank God! I am not dying yet. I can go on. I can go on and on and on.”

That is the kind of tradition Father laid in the Unification Church. How can we complain? If we disregard this tradition then America shall become a very dismal and tragic country. When you inherit the tradition, America· shall be glorious and prosperous. Everlasting blessings will come if you inherit this.

Father is not wasting time on the boat. Not at all. Don’t ever think that way. Can you have courage to visit your governor, the mayor and the alderman? Are you the man who gave up your life already? There is nothing to fear.

This is why Father came, even though at that time the leaders of America were very scornful of Father. He visited face to face w.1.1.i, -enators, congressmen and the President of the United States at the oval office. I do not forget how they treated me sometimes. The regional leaders should not use their own dis~retlion.:.. . They should not have the right or power to dismiss or appoint new state leaders among themselves. They should come to Father because it may not stay as that particular leader’s region. Father might switch around the entire set of regional directors.
