FATHER’S DIRECTIVES TO ALL MEMBERS

I. Make sure you understand the objectives of this 40-day condition.

* You must find 3 people to bring in as A members. * In the first 3 days visit 360 homes. Go to 120 homes per day . * Briefly speak to each family about yourself, that you are there to serve the community. * On the first round of house visitation give an initial rating of A, B or c.

1. Choose the best 72 houses - preferably all A rating, but if not A then the best B houses.

2. Then, rate the best 72 houses as A, B or c. Choose the best 12 A homes.

3. From the best 12 A homes, choose the 3 best homes. Visit the best 12 homes every day. Visit the best 72 homes once every 3 days.

* If one or two of the best 12 A homes do not work out, choose replacements from the best of the 72 homes. Keep these changes up-to-date. * Your best 3 homes should treat you like one of their family. You should be able to ask to stay the night any time and they would want you to stay. Maintain good relationships with these 3 homes. * The families in your best 3 homes should go to a workshop as soon as possible. As soon as your 3 best homes listen to Divine Principle, work on your 12 best homes to bring them to a work- shop. Have the families in your 3 best homes help you get the families from the 12 best homes to a workshop. * After you have won 12 homes, winning 72 homes will not be difficult. * If all 360 homes are of near-equal quality, select the homes nearest you to witness to and to send to a lecture. Vtsit the 360 homes nearest you so you can visit them as much as possible. Since 360 homes are within a 100-acre aree.,they should be easy to visit. * Visit 360 homes once every two weeks - twice a month. Visit them at least 3 times in 40 days. Of course, you ca.n visit them more often if possible - 5 or 6 times in 40 -days. * You must bring at least 12 people to a workshop to make 3 A members. * During the 40 day condition, if you bring 12 people to a workshop, that is one every 3 days. Bring those 12 people from your 12 best homes, or from the 72 best homes if there are not enough good people in the 12 best homes. * Keep your best 3 homes, 12 homes and 72 homes up-to-date and change them if others are better. * The principle of selection is to ccncentrate on young people.

Plant a tree in your community. It will remain for a lonr; time. The establisment of h isturiG1ty i:.:; the essential activity of creatinG a home church.

IV. Harmogy· and Friendship bet ween Members of All Countries

We must break down tht• barriers of nationalism that divide brothers and sisters. We nrus t a ll work together even though we are of different nationalities. If we fail to do this there will be no success. We cannot criticize this con cept .

v. Strengthening Ties between Leader:.:; a nd Members

A leader or a member should not think •I a m from one nation.’ Each member is a supernationalist. He must think of ourselves as being from ultra-national origin, being free of national prejudice.

VI. Formation of Leadership by Heart

The great problem of any organization is the tendency to ac t as a mac hine as it grows l a r ger. Orders are e;iven and carried out mechanically instead of prayerfully underst a nding the heart behind the directive an J using heartistic leadership to carry it out. Heart is the centre of leaders hip. The leader must lead by carrying out directives himself first. This is leadership by example. \-/hen a leader s ends a member out it should be as if a father were sending out his son to witness. It is up to the leader to make leadership by heart a v10rkable pattern and to form an unalterable standard of leadership in lk.s way. Make a formul out of leadership by heart. This is the assurance of internal heaven. If the church is like this then al l society will be like this.

VII. l-lhy a re He Working in England?

* England has an interflowing connection with the Commonwealth of 29 closely-knit nations. This is much broader than America’s worl d-wide connections. If England responds this influences 29 others - this makes England more advantageous than America. * England was once a first-rate nation and is now a third-rate nation. This is causing the Eng lish people to search for something to bring them back to first-rate position. * There is no atmosphere of resentment or persecution toward the Unification Church by the people, the media , etc. * England is a rather small country - this is an advantage. * The intellectual level is one of the highest if not the highest in the world. The Christian tradition is also high. * Historically, England has always led America. America has followed trends set in England. _j * If the French or Germans perish, it will not make much difference to America. However, if England perishes America will be greatly concerned. Therefore England is good bait to catch a Big Fish (America). * If England is won, America will be divided in two parts. The American young people will be on Father’s side. * If Father spends ~30 million in England the effect will be far greater here than in America.

* Oxford - Cambridge is a centre of intellectual activity. There are 300 professors at these universities. * If V.O.C. is a success in England, even if the Continent falls, England can be a bastian of strength against Communism. * The business foundation can be more easily set here. VIII. Cain-type and Abel-type Foundations

We will work a minimum time period of 40 days to restore 3 people in England. This is the Cain-type foundation. After restoring 3 people in England, members can go back to their own country and restore 3 members of their family. This will be the Abel-type foundation. Witnessing this way will have a great effect on Europe and Japan.

u. European Members• Accomplishment of their Historical Task
