On September 18, 1974, True Father held the Day of Hope speaking tour at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

From September 14, 1974 to December 23, True Parents continued the Day of Hope speaking tour at 50 states in United States. The tour at Madison Square Garden, there are 30.000 citizens visited and it was remembered as a remarkable record of a religious event.

Before the tour, there were many demonstration by communists or other religion believers. Even though this demonstration, it was not enough seats for all attendees at Madison Square Garden, so almost people should go back to home.
