has- been blessing ~· ~ . this nation. There have been many people whom God has loved. God

blessed this nation through these people, not for those people themselves, but for the

generations after them. Those people were supposed to inherit what they were blessed

with to f!!_tur~ generations so that Goel’ s blessing would be connected to their offspring.

Even America as a nation, when she is blessed by God, :r- -r- - - . is supposed to inherit those

blessings to other nations. Now is the time when people of God’s blessing should appear.

instead of..risin . because she stopped being attentive to other nations. If this nation stops

will be taken away. There have been many leaders of this nation who have done their

part , but now is the time when leaders of more qualification - who know they are supposed

to inherij: _their blessings to other nations - should appear. If there be God at all, and He

is minding Ame.rica, He is now agonized to see that America is losing her stand to love

other nations - especially the leaders who are leading this nation. Even in the Christian

world, not only the Christian population but the Christian ministers too are losing their

blessing because they don’t have the zeal to welcome God back into their nation. Is there

any single family which is like that? No. Now America and the whole world are badly

in need of leaders. Our aim here is to train you to raise many leaders for this nation

and for the world. In this way you have been selected by all the members of the Unification

Church to be here for training. Among our members there could be sons and daughters

to ministers, congressmen, etc. - they left their homes when there was persecution.

Why are we here? To train ourselves to be leaders of this nation. We left our homes to

train ourselves to be better than those leaders. So, we are going to lead those people.

The most important mission we are going to carry out is to welcome back God who is

leaving and has already left this nation,back to the government, the churches, the homes,

and the individuals. The blessings to have been taken away means leaving God - so how

to welcome him back to America is always the problem. Do you think that God is abiding

in your family, in this government, in this nation, in this world? No. Do you have God

abiding in you? (No.) Then you are the same as other people. If we are supposed to

reanimate and revitalize this nation, we have got to have God in ourselves and then we

have to be able to help other people welcome God in their hearts and other families and

other nations and the whole world. We can help them do that. You are going to

visit every human heart, every nation and the world. In visiting them you must accompany

God to visit those people. You have to have God with you. You must look into your own

selves. Have you had any moments in which you have lived with God? We must go back

to think in what manner and with what motivation God blessed your forefathers. You are

p roud of your Puritan forefathers. What was their ideology? Was the Puritan ideology to

kill the American Indians? In fact, they came into this land and killed the American Indians

and drove them to reservations. Was that the Puritanic ideology? But they did that! Then

why could God bless them? They were invaders, agressors and killers. Would God love

that kind of people? You must think deeply about that. For what did God bless those people

while they killed the settlers and did all bad things? It was their motivation for which God

blessed them They left their olt_l world - the European nations - because they were looking

for freedom of worship. After fighting against the settlers because they came against your

forefathers will. .Then they wanted to establish a nation where they could freely

worship God. Everything they got out of this land they wanted to return to God. The

Puritans left their homes and their nation and everything because they loved their freedom

of worship - they loved God - more than they did their families, their relatives and their

nation. In a sense they were looking for God and God is looking for that kind of people.

They looked up at God and God would look down to them and they met there - God and

the Puritans. God told them, “You left your families, your relatives and your

nation for me. So, I am going to give you a family foundation to stand on and relatives

and a national foundation to stand on. That was God’s promise. If any power would come

against those people in building their families, their churches, their nation, God would

fight against them. Then, when the Indians came to fight these people, God would help

them, working for them and through them. When they first set sail for this new land in

untold difficulties and hardsh ips, God was already resolved to help them out through their

way - when they would steer on a difficult way. That’s why even though they had to kill

the Indians and did seemingly bad things, God had to bless these people as long as they did

not lose their faith in God. That’s what I know of them. In their everyday life they wouldn’t

leave God. They would go to the forest to chop down trees, but they always accompanied

God in their minds. They would live in solitude and worked plowing the land for the food

for their families. In doing anything they did not forget God in any moment of their lives.

A band of American Indians would come who were going to kill them and they would pray

to God, “We are here not for material wealth, not for worldly things, but for you and for

the freedom of worship before you. Let us fight and win! We know that you are helping ‘I us. That was their prayer and their attitude in their everyday life. Out of their crops harvests they would return their/to God. Before building their own houses, they built churches for

God, schools for the education of their descendants so they could become the promising

s ons and daughters of God. For that, God blessed these people. They started doing every-

thing from the viewpoint of God and they ended up doing everything for the sake of God.

That was their spirit. They founded this nation of America under the ideology of

Protestatism. When people of British descent had to fight against thepeople of their

mother nation, they prayed to God saying they had to do that for His sake and for the sake

of freedom of worship, and they asked His forgiveness. This was their attitude, and this

was why God forgave them. In the worldly sense, if they fight against their nation, then

they would be rebels. But these traitors and rebels were blessed by God. Why? They

held guns and arms not for their own glory but for the glory of God. They left their own

nations and had to fight against their motherland because of God. That’s why they got

rid of God’s curse and instead were blessed by Him. If you are really proud of your

Puritan forefathers and your nation, you must be resolved to become greater than them.

You must be determined to become the best leaders of this country and of the world, then

God will not leave this country. Or if He has left this country, He will come back to live

in you. For instance, there is a couple: If the wife would commit everything to her

husband’s hands loving him and caring for him, there is no self-centeredness there.

Then wouldn’t the husband love this wife and be willing to give everything back to her?

God is in that position to America - vhen she is dedicated to God, God in return loves

her and gives everything in His possession to her. In your country’s history, people

wherever they were,were with God: on the individual, family, national base. Wherever

they were and whatever they did, they were doing those things with God. But now what is

your attitude? Are the American people like that now? People of America are now utterly

individualistic and don’t mind whether their husband or wife is happy or not. You don’t

mind whether your family or your nation is happy or not. You just want to have your

own wealth, position and knowledge from your own self-centeredness. If you go on like

this, God has got to leave this country. Isn’t that logical? You have left no foothold for

God to stand or live in this country. You are compelling God to leave this nation. God

sometimes is a God of vengeance. He would not only leave this nation but he would send

enemies to you to test you and to put you on trial, because He wants to awaken you. That’s

exatly what it is now in America. He would let the satanic force invade you in your nation.

There is the white and black problem, adolescent problem, drug users, etc. - all those

things are being done by the satanic power. You are being tested. The communist power

too is invading your nation. We cannot leave this country as it, we must reanimate this

country to have more faith and help them to awaken their thought. We must build our own

footstool to work through to the people of this nation. There must be an individual, family

or group of people who can really save this nation. We are the people! We proclaim that

we can save this nation, but in order to do that we must train ourselves! You must be

able to welcome God in your heart. With that God in you , you must visit other families,

individuals and churches. God will abide with them too. That’s what we are going to do.

Are you anxious to do that? ‘Yes!) Before anything else, in that case, you must be able to

welcome God in your heart. But you must realize that God is not for you alone, so you must

be able to inherit your blessedness to other people. You must accompany God and take

Him to other people, other churches and groups. Are you qualified to do that? (Yes!)

1 Everything starts from faith - you must be confident in your faith. If you are confident wherever you go God will follow you, instead of your following Him. Whenever we touch

anything God’s attention will be focused on that. Sleep or awake, whatever you do, God will

be doing with you and for you. So, if you in mind to save this nation God will pour out

His attention to save this nation. If you are going to save the world, God will be ahead of

you working for the world. You must have the confidence to win over the people - win their

hearts however satanic the people may be. In that case you are David before Goliath. The

gigantic satanic power is there but you can save them and overcome them. The only way

for us to win the attention of God and to win His help and assistance is that you revitalize

your own selves, empty your hearts and clean up your satanic nature so that God can come

and abide in you. Even though you are in the position of David - so small seemingly nothing

before the gigantic world - you are sure to win over the satanic power and clear away the

s atanic elements from the whole nation and the world. The fate of your nation is declining,

but you must stop the force of its falling and lift it up to the highest standard. In the olden

days when your forefathers founded this nation, God was already with them and full of for blessings, but even those blessings they had to go through untold difficulties. But now

this nation is declining and how much more force and effort you should put on your work.

We must expect untold difficulties and hardships - more than those your forefathers had.

God would be high above us immobile unless your zeal can attract him. So, at all costs,

we must attract His attention and draw Him to our side. Even though He is immobile and

firm, we must put a rope around him and on the winch reel him to our side. So, you play

the role of the rope. You must never be cut apart. You must be a strong rope. Apply

are many plies to a thick rope. Are you strong enough not to be cut off? Suppose the whole

nation pulls you back, would you be drawn to God’s side or draw God to your side? (God’s

side!) God is ready to come to your side, but the satanic power is pulling the other side.

What God is anxious about is that the rope will cut and that’s why He cannot come to your

side. In a moment he can come to your side if you are strong enough. You are so weak

a rope that when it is stretched, it is apt to be cut off. That’s why God is hesitating to

come to your side. Your attitude towards the Principle - towards the will of God - must j be straight forward not going zig zag or making detours. If you are so strong in your faith,

then something miraculous could happen in your nation. God is almost leaving this nation.

But in a little while he will look back upon this nation and He will find a grou p of young

people so strong as to pull Him back. He is overjoyed by this fact and He will come back

to this nation. He has been discouraged and disillusioned by the individuals and the families

a nd the nation as a whole, which he had once blessed. Now He finds a new group of people

through whom He can bless individuals, families and the nation. He will only be too glad

to come back to this nation and abide in it. Male or female, even though your faces may be

ugly on the worldly standard, if your minds shine out and your spirits are warmed by the love

of God and your faces would emit the light of God’s love, then in God’s sight you are beautiful

people. He will be attracted by the beauty to your side. There are many beautiful girls and

handsome boys in the world, but if they have lost God from their hearts, they are just nothing.

However ugly you may be, if you want to be beautiful in heart and emit God’s love, then

you are the most beautiful people in the world. If you think for the sake of God and say

t hings for His sake and act for His sake, wouldn’t he love you and be badly in need of you?

For example, wouldn’t the female have her husband live for her sake? The same applies

to God. We were created in His image and if we know that we have that kind of nature in

us we know God is like that too. What you have valuable, what you have good and righteous

is the attribute that God has in Him. What is the most valuable time for us? Are the

sleepless nights spent tossing in bed the most valuable moments? What is the most valuable

time? The most valuable moment is when you struggle hard, even though you are tired

a nd sleepy, not to sleep and keep awake and welcome God in because you don’t know what

moment God would come to you. You have precious moments. If you wouldn’t sleep at

all staying up the whole night working for God and working for people who are under God’s

care. Sometimes you are exhausted and so tired that you desire only sleep. At that moment

if you can desire one more moment or one more hour to be dedicated to God, then that’s

the very moment God will love you. That’ s where the word “indemnity” applies. If you

like common people who want to play and do so and want to sleep and so do sleep, then

what makes the difference between you and other people of the world?In your everyday life when you want to speak to other people. But/what you speak is the word of God, that is the most

precious. In speaking, too, if you speak out of zeal and enthusiasm and love, that’s the

most precious word. In everything, the same thing applies. If you struggle on like that

in giving words, you will give it out of your heart and to exault God’s will and then you

are doing something good in God’s sight. That’s the way you pay the indemnity toll. In

paying the toll you must go beyond the average. If you go only below the average, then you

cannot say you have paid the toll. When I look at the lecturers, I closely examine you.

You must be anxious to see you, anxious to give the lecture. And in giving the lecture

you must pour it out- of your hearts with your zeal and heart. After the lecture you must

keep praying for the listener to absorb the truth of the Divine Principle. That’s the way

it should be! God created man out of logos - the word. So, when we recreate man we must

do that out of the words and with words. When God first created man, there was love,

there was zeal. Likewise, the lecturers must have hope, zeal and life poured out into

their lectures. Once they are on the platform, they must give out love, life and hope to

you because God was like that when He created man. They are in the position to recreate

you with the words. I want you to be that way. You must put yourselves in the position of

God. In other words, you must experience God’s heart over those decayed people groping

in darkness. You must be anxious to save them back into the place of light, hope and love.

If you have that standard, God will meet you there and you will walk in conformity with

God. To recreate what has been torn to pieces is more than creating. You have experienced

that. So, we must put more energy than that of God which He used at the time of creation.

That’s the attitude you should have. Let me go back to tell you that you must struggle

hard to welcome God back to you.: But when you welcome Him back in your heart, be ready

to inherit your blessedness to other people. Don’t confine Him in you - the small you - but

give Him out and pave the way for Him to reach out to the world. In what category would

you want to have God? On the individual level, family level, world level? (Universal,

cosmic level!) If you are ready for that, you must be ready to sacrifice yourself for the

sake of the world. Otherwise you cannot do that. If someone would pluck your eyes out

of you would you ready to do that for the sake of the world? If you nose is being plucked

out, would you do that if it is for the world? You must be ready even to give your life

for the sake of the world. Can you do that? (Yes!) There have been many holy men like

that. Can we excel them? God has been using those people and He has martyred them.

Finally God sent one final figure - the Messiah. You must deny even your life -

compared to the vastness of God’s will, your life is nothing! However exhausted you may

be, you must never complain but be thankful to God that you are still alive, because you

had been ready to deny yourself even by death. Are you like that? Is there any single one

who is like that? What I am saying is not vague, but it is the fact, the truth. If God has

left, would He come back unless you are so zealous and so loving and so much caring for

Him. It is in your power to get Him back. Isn’t it? (Yes!) Is it possible? (Yes!) Then

you don’t need me at all. It sounds easy, but it is no easy job at all. I have already fought

a fierce battle against Satan and won over him on the individual, family, national levels

a nd covering the spiritual world too. Have you done that? I am the guide, I am the media-

t or and counselor. If you cling to me, if you are on my back I can carry you. But you cannot

go on your own. You must serve Him at the cost of your life, because before your life there

was the life of your parents, before your hope there was the hope of your parents, before

your love there was the love of your parents. In other words, God’s love, his life and

His hope were poured down on you. And the love and life and hope of the True Parents are

being poured out to you. This is only possible in the relationship of father and son.

That’s the privilege only the sons and daughters can enjoy from the parents. The relation-

ship between the parents and children is the starting point of everything of value. Are

you in that kind of ardent love between husband and wife? Between the parents and children

life, hope and love started from the same point. Even the brothers and sisters came into

existence on the second level. Your parents would say to you, “You are my life, my hope

and my everything.” It is because you and your parents have started at the same point.

Would you want to become the sons and daughters to God or the son-in-laws and daughter-

in laws. You want to become the direct son and daughter because it is the most close -

the point at which those two are united into onel If God is God of love, we want to abide

in Him, we want to be one with Him. If God is God of life, we want to abide in Him and

be endowed with life. If God is God of hope, we want to abide in that hope and start at the

same point. If abide in God to the fullest extent that means that we are entirely one with

Him. His life is my life and His love is my love and His hope is my hope. In that case

we can start from the point of view of God. Due to the human fall we lost the True Parents

of that kind. So, inthe latter days we know that the True Parents must come to save us.

We, together in oneness, must be devoted to God and we must be able to say to God that

we are your life and your love and hope and everything else. God will nod at you and say

“Good!” That overjoyed God will make you build the heavenly kingdom on earth. He will

enable you to do that. Do you realize that? If you are in that position, wouldn’t God follow

you wherever you go, instead of you following Him. Then, you will tell your Father,

“Father, let’s stop by Mr. Kim’s house, let’s go to Korea, let’s go to church, let’s

go to so and so nation. “ After 6,000 years of agonized history He has found you. Wouldn’t

He speak to you. Would He let satanic power come between you? Then we are in eternal

love and life and hope with Him. More than anything else we want to inherit that life, love

a nd hope from God and we will be the wealthiest people in the world. In that case we are

above the standard of our Puritan fathers, any martyrs or holy men of the world. We can

be better people than the victors of the War of Independence. If you are qualified sons and

daughters to Him, how can you become shabby looking and exhausted remnants of soldiers

complaining about the General? Even though you may have to die, you must be able to cry

out hurrah for God, hurrah for the movement and for the True Parents. We must keep the

dignity as the sons and daughters of God. We must not let God lose His faith because of

us as His children. As I have repeatedly told you, you must follow me. I am going to reach

out to the end of the world. You must go passing the level of individual, family and the

nation and come and follow me to the end of the world. I am in the frontline leading you.

God is there, ahead of us, leading you. This, being the final battle, Satan is desperate

us - to nullify what we have been doing. So, we must march on with stronger zeal and

energy and hope. I am there as your General, so you have only to follow me and everything

will be accomplished. We have to lay a historical foundation. We have to set up historical

traditions for the future generations. We are in the honorable war fighting against the

satanic power in the honor of God and His will and the True Parents. We are all mobilized

in the bettlefield. We must be grateful to God that we are endowed with our lives in this

age to fight for the Cause. We must remind ourselves of all the past saints. They worked

in the position of servants to God and they were ready to martyr themselves for the sake

of the world. Some came as the adopted sons to God and they had done their job, their

responsibility, they had carried out their mission. There have been many saints and

after them Jesus came as the son of God. Those who followed him followed him even in

difficulty, but he had to die on the cross. Those Christians who followed him could follow

him only on the spiritual level. But there have been many martyrs in the Christian world.

How much more do we have to struggle on with the dignity of God’s sons and daughters!

With the True Parents among us, leading us, directly, how much more blessed we are!

It is an historic privilege that we were born in this age, and with the dignity of our

Heavenly Father, and with the dignity of our True Parents and with the help and concern

of our true brothers and sisters, applauding and cheering us on to fight and win the victory.

We are going on steering the way, fighting against satanic power. The road is paved

before us by our True Parents. We must be grateful for all these things Suppose there

is a great patriot and his parents are proud of him and his brothers and sisters are proud

of him. His whole family and his whole nation are proud of him and admire him. He

would be much too happy to die for the cause. In the course of history so many saints

have come and have fought for the cause and some on the servants level, some on the

adopted sons level and Jesus on the True Son’s level. But with all those people on our side

Opening Night… cheering us on, we are fighting for the final battle. With the myriads of saints and spirit

men included, they are all mobilized to assist us. Our battle is sure to be victorious!

If we may even have to die, those people are all on our side. God, True Parents and

brothers and sisters in the Unified Family will admire us and bury us in honor and untold

praise! We have only one life. We are sure to die at any time. If we are going to die,

why don’t we die that kind of death! We are so blessed in that sense. We must know the

value of our being the true sons and daughters to God and to our True Parents. You are

the new leaders emerging in this nation. Centered on this nation, which is the leading

nation of the world, we are going to march out to the end of the world. After the victory

you are going to bring the spoils to God and your stories of merit to God and the True

Parents. They are anxious to hear from you. Including the brothers and sisters under

the Unified Family and the vast numbers of spirit men in the other world, they will cheer

your victory! We are history makers assuming the vast and great responsibilities on our

shoulders. God will be working with us through the True Parents and true brothers and

sisters. We are not alone. God is on our side - ready to favor us in any moment. So,

if we welcome God back to our hearts, to our families and this nation and we want to

inherit what we have as blessings to other people, then we will have glorified God in

the end. The battle is already here! We want to inherit the blessings to other people, but

we in the position of Abel when the people won’t listen to us without their knowing the value

of the words and what we have to give to them, then we must cling to them tearfully to

them to persuade them and convince them at all costs. If it is beyond your power, you

must be ready to sacrifice yourselves and be ready to die for them to save their lives.

Then you will have lived a true life, a new life in the spirit world, and you will come to

the aid of those people and rescue them. You will have set up a new tradition which people

of later generations will follow. In the world where people are self-centered and selfish,

we are the opposite and we will exemplify this to the whole world - as the light of the world.

I When we are altruistic and unselfish and sacrificial, we can save others. You can become t he patriots not only to the your nation but to the whole world. God will be with you. Your

True Parents and your true brothers and sisters will be with you - honoring you and admiring

you. Your names will be long recorded and told about through many generations. Wher-

ever you go, God will be there and you can take Him with you visitng people of the whole

world. God will never leave the people to whom you have inherited your blessings. Then,

the kingdom of God will have been erected by your hands. The future citizens of the kingdom

will admire you. True peace and the ideal will start from there. We are struggling for
