DIRECTOR’S CONFERENCE AT BELVEDERE MASTER SPEAKS August 15, 1973

I sent out some 32 members to 28 States. But I didn’t mean to have them get

jobs there, but to concentrate wholly on church work. I encouraged them to study the

Divine Principle hard enough, but if they had done th<:1.t, they could have established the

foundation from that time on. , Seven years after 1965 I had to re-start with my own hands

sending out people to 50 states. If we cannot cover the number which I have already told

you in 3 years’ time, what will happen? We have got to increase the membership by that

time (to that many members). If you don’t follow my strategy, something serious will

happen. We have to advance forward with all our efforts poured out. If we are going to

fill up the membership, which is 8,000, it means 160 in each state. It’s not difficult at

all. The members posted in those states, must become one with each other. If 10 or

so become one with each other and witness to the people in groups, it will be easy. These

3 years I will pour out my whole energy and concentrate on the work. While you sleep I

stay up the whole night kneeling in prayer. This is your country. On the external level I

am only a Korean man. Even in the providential level, I am the central figure and I am

responsible for all those things. But in order to save your nation, the American members

must be more anxious than anyone else to save this nation from the dungeon. But don’t you

see the Japanese members are here and the European members are here in the vanguard of

you - working harder, in some ways, than you. You are in the position of Abel to the European

members and Japanese members; and you are in the position of the archangel towards the

Adam and Eve nation, in a way. So, in any sense, you must work hard at all costs. If

~ You must never be defeated by them. If you take it for granted, you are doomed to perish.

I have to use my interpreter. That’s a disadvantage. But you speak your language freely.

The European and Japanese brothers don’t speak the language, but still they are working

hard. They are not used to your environment. If they work hard in that situation and

make more crops, then how much more would you work, or how much more crops would

you have to bring? If you were in God’sposition, how would you judge? If those who are

not good speakers of the language work harder than you who are the native speakers of the

language. And if those who are in a strange environment work harder than those who are

used to this environment and prepared, in a way. Then, would he not judge, and would He

not love the others more? Isn’t that logical? ‘Yes!) We are now in the final war, and I as

the general must be harsh on you - drive you hard to the goal to win the final victory. You

must expect it coming. Isn’t that logical? ‘YES!) For these 3 years I am going to make

my public appearances by giving lectures. These 3 years we are in the position of the

Israelites coming out of Egypt, and before their coming out of Egypt, they had to notify

every one of the Israelitic people to come out of the land likewise, before our coming out

of the satanic world, we must be able to notify all our tribes to let them know the message.

Korea, in Adam’s position, Japan in Eve’s position, and on the world-wide level America

in the archangel’s position, must become one. But this is the land where we have the

contracted form of the world in oneness. So, on the internal level, we among our members

must become one. That’s why I brought 120 Japanese members here, while from Europe

about the same number of members were brought here. On the external level I must do the

same thing which will correspond to what we are doing on the internal level. That’s why I

brought 12 0 British students and 120 Japanese students. We are just serving them free and

without charging them anything. For those 40 days we are going through do many difficulties

from them. History has never seen such a group of men who are being indebted to a group

and they are forced to host - they are invited here. Whether they receive the message or not

is no problem. What we have done will be reached somewhat, at least. In human history

I may be the first one to do such a thing. At the cost of money, time and energy, we do

this thing, but they reject us. Despite our efforts, despite our loving service, if they don’t

receive it, the blessing going to their countries, to the world on the external level will

come to us. If Korea and Japan on the Western world, America and Britain could become

one, something great could happen (those 4 nations). Again he says in the Eastern part of

the world, Korea is in the position of Adam while Japan is in the position of Eve. In the

Western world the United States is in the position of Adam, while Great Britain is in the

position of Eve. The nation in the position of Eve must come from the nation which used

to be the enemy nation to the nation in the position of Adam. and the enemy nation to the

archangel nation. Japan was in the position of enemy both to Korea and to the U. S. England,

too, was once in the position of enemy to the U. S. = and they fought with each other.

England is in the position of enemy to Germany, too - the archangel in the western world.

Then, extended we must have at least those 5 nations into oneness: Kcr ca, Japan, England,

America and Germany. From the viewpoint of the situation in the political world, Korea

is a big issue (problem). Korea, being the divided nation, is controversial. The Unification

in Korea means the unification of the world. In Korea victory over communism must be

brought about. Without the nations in the democratic world becoming one with each other, they

cannot win over communism. Our activities in this nation is for us to do that - to make it

possible. So, as it now stands, the U. S. is the problem. We must win the victory in the final

war in the U. S. If we fail to do that, we have to leave this land and this land will fall prey to

the worst - communism. You must remind yourself of the fact that when the lsraelities failed

in carrying out God’s will, they were devoured by Satanic power. Now your nation, America,

is the final target of the communist invasion. Before the end of the third 7 -year course - by

the year 1981, we have to win the victory in this nation. At the longest, the doom of this

nation, the destiny of this nation, whether it will prosper or perish will take 210 years

history. We are the people who are souldering the future of this nation and the whole world.

This is a most important fact and you must never forget it - bearing it in mind every moment.

The year 1968 is the 3 years before 1981, and that’s a most crucial one. After our 3 seven

year courses, we have to dash forward to every corner of ghe earth. So, we must feel very

pressed and urgent. By the end of our three 7 -year courses, I will become 61. In the satanic

world, that is to say, in the communist world, they have acquired 1/3 of the world’s population

after 60 years of endeavor. By the year when I become 61 years old, we have to cover the

whole world. We must at least lay the foundation of victory in this nation within our third

7 -year course. How difficult it must be and how urgent it is! Even when a small family is ruined or has fallen, to restore it, it may take a lifetime and it will have spent a lifetime in vain to restore

the whole family. But how much more difficult it must be for us to restore the whole world.

Is it any easy for us to restore the world to the original position after the human fall - when

there are so many particulars to be solved and to be undone? What makes the problem more

serious is that we have to carry out our mission to a certain extent in a certain interval of time -

in light of the Divine Principle. In 28 years’ time after the close of World War II, my dndeavor

has reached this height, and we have hope of recovering the whole world. All through 6, 000

years of human history, God could not res1trre the world, though he would work through all the

saints since. But in my age, through myself and through you, he is going to realize it on

earth. But he cannot do it by himself, he must use me, and I cannot do it by myself, I must use

you. From the year 1960 up to the year 1980, in those 20 years, we must lay the foundation.

Up to Master’s age of 40, that was 1960, he has laid his own foundation. His public ministry

started from then on with you involved. After 20 years time by the year 1980 we will have laid

the foundation on the wor-wide level. You must know the blessedness of your having been born

in this age and having met Master and ministered to him and being cooperative to his will

which is God’s will. You must feel it’s a miracle. After things will have been done, if

you may look for the things to cooperate with him, you will never find one. You are still

in your 20’s. You must be grateful that you still have youth and you can pour out your

whole being and energy in this great world. After we will have won victory you can enjoy of godliness the kingdom. You will have laid the foundation and tradition/on the individual level up to the

world-wide level. What you are doing at this very moment will be recorded in human history.

This very moment is the most important. Your future descendants will ask you what you have

done during the 3 seven-year courses. If you will have done nothing while Master has struggled

hard to lay the foundation on the individual level, family level, tribal level, reach to you,

then what will be your story to your descendants? You must be good heirs having inherited

what I have accomplished. From then on you have to set up your own tradition and you have

to weave your own history to show to your future generations. We are now in the last stage

of the second 7-year course. Before going through the last - which is the third - seven year

course you must do your best. I want you to pledge before God that you are going to do your

very best to make good progress during this period. Again, I must say that we are in the final

war. Victory or failure will be decided by your efforts. Are you confident? (Yes!? You must

know that if you fail to carry out your mission in the U. S., I must shift the place to England.

If I have to do that, the indemnity we have to pay will be doubled. In these 3 years we must

be desperate in pouring out our efforts. What we win in this nation will lay the foundation

for the victory on the world-wide level. You must remember this - this is a very serious

matter. What we do here is laying the foundation for the world-wide level. What we win be here will be for the victory of our project on the world-wide level. So, you must,’the central

figures carrying out the historical mission of great significance. I must again say that you

must be able to bring in one person each per month. More than one is welcome. Can

you promise that? (Yes!) Hold up your hands if you can promise before God. Do you

have any questions to raise?

A: From now on you are receptive. You ancestors can come and help you. Without

this condition set up by Master, even though up to the present your ancestors may have come

to help you, after having helped you for a certain period of time, they must leave. They cannot Without leaving you. be with you too long. From now on they can work with you all through the way. ‘Th Even

if they are of a higher level, they can mobilize their men under them to be used for you.

You can be protected from satanic invasion. Up to the present they had to leave after awhile.

So you have always been vulnerable to satanic invasion. In other words, what you are going to

do from now on - you will have no problems. Master’s having paved the way (opened the way)

to come down to help you was a great thing. That was the descent of the triabl level of spirit.

But if he is going to open up the way for the spirits on the national level, then the whole nation

can be protected. But it can be done only at the time of the Unification between North and South

in Korea. This is how the providence of God goes. If that is done in Korea, 16 nations can be

liberated, because 16 nations joined in the war to fight against the communist power in Korea.

Because they shed blood in the land of Korea. They sacrificed themselves on tje Korean soil -

on the external sense it was a pity, but by their doing that they opened up the way of the spiritual

aid reaching out to their own nations. They will not have fought in vain in Korea. On the foundation

of what they had done on the spiritual level - there is the claim to open the way for their

descendants in their own nations. More Americans died in Korea. Next the English and in that

order heaven will bless you. Korea, America and all those nations are in a way in blood relation.

It is meaningful that Master is here to work for this nation. The way is open for the spirit

world to be mobilized to help a whole nation. Then our mission will be carried out. If that

is done, the whole multitude will descend to the earth plane and mobilize a legion of army

never leaving the earth’s plane. So, with their cooperation what we are going to do will

be realized in the earliest possible date. In that land, in that case, no spiritual satan can

settle. The nations without satanic invasion will come about. So, reversely, America,

in fact, should help Korea out to unite its land as soon possible. The U. S. is in the position

of the archangel without fall, while communistic nations are in the position of the archangel

after the fall. So, the nation in the position of the archangel without the fall must become

one with the nation of Adam and conquer the archangel in the satanic world - representing

Cain. The U. S. has been the leading nation of the world, but it is losing its stand. It’s very

dangerous. Without my helping this nation, this nation will perish. Do you understand!

(Yes!) If spiritual descent can be made on the nation-wide level, we can never fail. From then

on we can easilyreach out to the world without my having to struggle too much. But until that

time we must work really hard. You must realize that your spirit men on the tribal level are

cooperating with us both on the spiritual and physical levels. As long as the satanic nation has

its stand we have the possibility of being defeated. So, we have go t to make that stand on the

national level, at least. This is very urgent. World tension will either be solved or intensified

within these 3 years. We are now in that situation.

Q: What is the significance of Billy Graham’s being in Korea. external A: That has a spiritual significance. While Master is over here working on the

level, he must go to Korea to work for that nation. His meeting in Korea was said to be the

most successful one in his history of revival meetings. A little longer and our Master will be more famous than Billy Graham in this country (?) . 7

The critical point is right now is to have both sides increase in number as

quality. The two sides are confronting. Another big problem is our human endeavour

on earth is not enough. So, how we are going to mobilize the spirit world to receive enough

cooperation alongside your work - your trying and your hard work. This means another

problem - how are we going to apply the life application of Principle on a horizontal level -

on earth? We have to really acknowledge that the gravity of the situation because both

you OWC commanders and SRs are representing nearly 4 million 400, 000 people. That’s

an average of 220 million people - divided by 50 -. So you are representing 4 million,

on an average, people within your state. The problem is how we are going to deal with these

4 million people to fit in our application of Principle on the horizontal level - to receive the

spiritual cooperation. First of all - internal and external - just like body and mind should

be one in order to make perfect individual whole. The same thing in order to deal with

4 million people internally and externally, the first unit you should have is to be united into

one for you both of you first - mobile unit commander and state representative. This is passing

issue - whether you are totally become one between commander and SR. If you are one, centering

in this work then everything will be different because the situation - the solidarity between you

for this position shall be recognized not only physically by the state, but also in the spirit world will and objectively by the church headquarters. So that the evil forces within the state should be

eliminated. The first process should take placefrom that point. Let’s talk about how difficult

it is to be in oneness with others. It is very hard for even blessed couples to be really one

centering in God. More difficult when SR is man and OWC is man - this is very difficult. If

you stay ego centered or self-centered - either one of you - then oneness does not happen.

As soon as you are not united into one, then one side will be God’s side and the other Satan’s

side. That means Cain and Abel positions come about. Then you have to go through the law

of indemnity. You have to pay the price. The law of indemnity will be applies so that because

of the lack of harmony and no oneness, such that all your members will go away - this is

the damage and the Principle interpretation. The problem lies in whether you become one

with one another. First of all, both of you must think that both of you belong to the True if love Parents - not to each other. Then, the Principle view will be set up. That means/Parents% someone then you have to / love that person too. Secondly you have to think about how to be united, we are born to be

united because we have to save America. So we cannot be one unless we belong to True Parents

and we are officially for the sty state - for America. Thirdly, you are one with your country.

You love one another means you love one another and you love God - you love True Parents.

This means oneness by united with each other . Then this becomes oneness with heaven. If you

think you are in oneness with America, this means you are becoming in oneness with the whole

world. In the past sacrifice divided many things to the altar. This time you have to be the

sacrifice which is united - you have to offer yourselves as combined one - not divided one.

The Principle teaching of Jesus said that those who are distinguishing yourself you will be lower

down - you will be highly respected. This kind of paradoxical speaking came from Jesus. You

have to realize the exact situation of the relationship of the commander and SR. Actually, the

external part - the mobile commander - is controlling the internal figure - the SR. Because

the mobile unit commander represents the government and the state so that the church is

existing within the jurisdication of the nation. If the state opposes the church, you are in trouble.

If the government persecutes the religion, there is great trouble. So in order to prevent this

probable crisis, the mobile commander is pay the indemnity and working hard the other way

pioneering so that paying the indemnity price to prevent this probably persecution of the

government or state to the church. Through the external expansion, the church should be

developing, advancing - this is the policy - and this is the role of the commander’s function.

So, because you are externally working, the commanders are in the archanglic position - in

that sense. If the external function of the commander as archangel, giving the people

the SR should keep them complete - not lose these people. That’s their role. This kind

of system comes from the Principle because the archangelic position should accomplish a came certain area - in order to restore the man and to do this kind of work. So those who aim to

this movement in the early days should do this kind of external work as mobile unit commander

to speed up the dispensation. The later comers automatically become the SRs and church

members. This time reversely the external figure of archangel position are serving the

Cain’s so that internally it is very easy to be united - through this kind of reverse situation.

They are helping - sacrificing. In the fast these first comers have been sacrificing as

Abel’s position - but now as archangel’s position they humbling down serving the State

Rep of the church center. So, in that way there is more chance to be united. So in centering

in each state’s mobile commander, if you follow this formula everything will go smoothly and

quickly. Because of this backgzo and of Principle interpretation - external commander and automatically internal SRs. Who should sacrifice more and work more - ! Mobile unit commander.

So you have no stable place - you have to wander all the time. SR has more convenience - has

more and better position in many ways. This is the reason why the sr has to work through the

mobile commander and through this kind of reverse way the dispensation will be speeeded up.

You must be united into one! You have to receive the mobile commanders - they are there to

give you all good luck and good fortune. The receiver should be ready to recieve them.

If you are united into one, 10 people of mobile unit and 10 people of the SR, if they have enough

and completely united, then 20 member powerful team will be set up. This give you good chance even if 20 people should suddely come to your place to your you are ready to cope with the situation because you have experienced oneness

and working together daily, hourly, weekly. So the center directors will learn something

you will learn many things, you will re-structure, reorganize, re-start, based on this

kind of experience. When our mobile unit left, then suddenly the SR should form external

and internal unity. You have to copy this example. This is the responsible position of the

SR after the mobile unit leaves. You must now slow down. You must be more active than

when they were there. If you lost that activity, then you will decline. You must maintain

activity on a continual basis. After the mobile unit leaves, the SR is the boss. So you have

to be above spiritually and physically those members. The next time the mobile unit visits

your center everything must be more smooth and carried on more effectively because in

oneness you have developed physically and spiritually. In oneness you can develop more. by SR By that time maybe the spiritual aspects have developed more than mobile unit left it, then

the position of spiritual guidance should be give and take reversal of position. Then the

spirit of God and heaven will dwell in you. You have spirit of multiplication then. Mulitiplication

will take place not only econtmically, but the number of members will multiplied. So you have

to have horizontal and vertical relationship and then you have expansion and circular cycle.

Do you understand that you must be one! (YES!) Please raise your hands - those who are not

really one between Mobile Unit Commander and SR. Is Everything - everyone together now?

If you are in oneness, then your should have 1, 000 members. As soon as the commander appears,

he is the subject and the SR or church didrector and others are objects. One is plus and one is

minus. Objective position must follow commander and troops. Both are obligated while during

the stay of 15 days. If you are 15 people, then you must bring 30 people before they leave.
