but for the folks in Korea and in Japan it was really a short while, after my long absence
of about a years time. You may want to know what I was doing there. As you remember
on the first of July I set up the day of victory, which was really the first occasion of setting
up such a day in our history. My trip here this time is my fourth world tour. So, in light
of the Principle, the fourth world tour is a most significant one. After of the day of
victory on the first of July, I planned to leave (actually I left on the 7th) but after 40 days
exactly, I returned. Because I arrived in San Francisco on the 10th of August. Everywhere
we were at war with Satan - both in Japan and in Korea and we won victory! Today is the 15th
of August. What do you celebrate on August 15th in America. (V-J Day.) Do you celebrate
on the 14th or 15th of August? We gain a day as we come here, so. .. Today August 15th
is the day of liberation from the Japanese regime for Korea. This year is the 28th year from
the liberation, and towards the end of the 30th year, we will see the end of our second 7 -year
course. Those years are most important years for Korean history and for the history of the
providence of God. After the 30th year, 3 more years - that means by the year 1967 - we have
been saying that those years are critical ones. It is because, centered on Jesus’ mission, it
is the period of restoration. For us it is the period of re -restoration. Those years are most
important because it is something like Jesus’ 30 years mission and after that 3 years public
ministery. So, centered on that most critical things are going to happen in the world. For
us to be able to solve the world problems in light of the providence of God will be most
important. In order for the providence of restoration to reach that height - that point - we
have had to start from the individual level up to the world level. Without human fall, our

mind and body could have become one. This man with his mind and body in oneness could
have become one with God. But due to human fall everybody’s mind has been separated and
man, as a whole, has been separated from God. So, we are in the position to have to
restore ourselves in the original position and to restore our family and all the rest of the
t hings - the whole world - the whole humanity - into oneness with God. On the vertical level
heaven and earth are separated. That means God and man are separated. So, on the horizontal
level, man must be united into one with individuals being united between mind and body. In
the course of restoration we must unite those who are in Cain’s position and those in Abel’s
position into oneness first. Due to the division between Cain and Abel on the individual level,
there are families - some on the Abel level and the others are on the Cain level - and on the one next level of things - the national and world-wide level of things, nations are divided4nto
Cain’s level and the other into Abel’s level. In the ideological world it is the world which is
divided roughly into democratic and communist world. You have learned that what is untangled
on the vertical level, should be solved on the horizontal level. On the vertical level, too, we
have those in Cain’s position and those in Abel’s position. In order to unite those on the Abel’s
position, God sent His son as the central figure. Without God’s being able to unite the Abeltic
world through the man who is the central figure, He cannot hope to unite the other world - which
is Cain’s world. Christian - the sphere of Christian civilization is what God has been trying
to unite into one before absorbing the Cain world. He has been trying to unite the Christian world
or Abeltic world, but it has repeatedly been a failure. Because those saints sent by God have been
repeatedly failed in uniting the Abeltic world, God has to restore it or make it a success on
the horizontal level by sending his central figure to this world to totalize all those things in
success. This is what is taking place now. That is the idea of the Messiah. By whom what
was left unaccomplished on the vertical level, will be accomplished on the horizontal level.

Because this Messiah was sent to humanity to totalize what was realized on the vertical
level and realize it on the horizon tal level, the whole Christian world or the Abeltic world
must be united with him. By the Christian populations’ being united by the Messiah, they
could have restored what they left unaccomplished on the vertical level and they could have
reached the point of victory. - if they were one with him. The Messiah could have become
one with the Christian world and then could have conquered the satanic or Cain world.
Do you understand? (Yes!) If the Christian world cannot receive the Messiah, he has to
repeat the same thing. In the year 1945 when Korea enjoyed its independence after the
liberation from the oppressive regime, that was the starting point of significant restoration.
Our church, then, in 3 years’ time after that (after 1945) should have been able to absorb
or be cooperative with the established Christian world. With the Christian’s cooperation
with the Messiah, our church could have stood in the position of the Jewish people in oneness
with all the lsraelitic people. In the year 1948, formal independence was declared for
Korea, but in light of the Divine Principle, the Christian churches failed to be one with the
Messiah, so the difficulty started from that point. Due to their objection to our movement,
on the vertical level too, there were still the division between Cain and Abel. Due to their
failure of being cooperative with our movement, the Messiah had to re-start his movement,
and by the year 1 8 1978, the thirtieth year after the beginning of our movement, will
be the culminating year. If we think of Jesus’ age, the Messiah has got to make his success
by the year 1975, rather than 1978. By the 15th of August in the year 1975, our movement
will be 30 years old. By the year 1978, it will be 33 years old. We talk about Jesus’ 3
years of public ministery, but it was actually some 2 years and 8 months. I focus my
attention on April 1978. It is 3 years before the end of our third 7 -year course.
The reason for my having told you that the year 1968 is going to be the most crucial year
was made in light of the age of Jesus public ministery. It was the - it’s going to be the 60th 3

year from the start of the communism. Everything happening in human history is not by
coicidence. Since the start, the Christian world was not cooperative with out movement
and there has been division between the Christian movement and our movement, it will
go on in war with each other in 30 years. I have been telling you about the importance of
1972, 1973 and 1974. These years are three years before that point. By our going through
the period of indemnity - difficulties and hardships - up to that point, we can reach it with
success. If we don’t pay enough inemnity during thcs e years, it will be left over for us to
have to go through after the 30 years’ course. So, we have put ourselves in the position of
having to pay the toll. For these 3 years, I decided to have our movement go through
difficulty in the human stage in the United States - which signifies the world. Up to the (defensive)? present moment, we have taken the offensive. Even after the year of liberation of Korea
in 1945 our movement has gone through persecution by the Christian world. But now, here
in the United States, which represents the world Christianity, we are now taking the offensive
position. The founding ideology of this nation was Christianity and Protestantism. We
are going to conquer the satanic world right from here. If the Christian world in Cain position
has developed brilliantly, we could not have coped with them, but due to their discoope ation
with our movement, God has had them in the destiny of corruption and decline. So, it na kes
it easier for us to conquer that power. To make it possible for us to work in the UIS. Master
has gone through so much difficulties and hardships, staring from individual level, family level
back in Korea. Now that he has won victory on those levels, he can now work here. Originally
he was placed in the position of Messiah to win victory in the Christian world in Korea. Then,
through the victory he could have reached the whole world right from there. But due to the
lack of cooperation of the Christian world in Korea, he has to come down to the level of
individual having lost the national stand. Then, he had to restart from that point.

Originally the mission of the Messiah was to start from the national foundation and reach
out to the world. What is the original mission of Jesus? To stand on the national foundation
to reach out to the world. What the Messiah was going to do was to accomplish what was
left unaccomplished in the Old Testament Age, which was the preparation for the coming
of the Messiah, Jesus, and to fulfill what was left unaccomplished by Jesus. All those has
been his mission. Those things left unaccomplished by Jesus was only on the spiritual level.
But for him, he had to accomplish all those things on the physical level too. In Korea,
despite opposition from the Christian world, despite the opposition from the government, he
had to win over all those things and go to the last level to reach out to the world. Jesus He failed to do that! had to win the cooperation from the Judaism and from the whole Israelitic nation./ But now
the Lord of the 2nd Advent had to win the cooperation from the government and from the
Christian world. They failed to be cooperative with him. So, from the individual level up
to the national level, despite the opposition from the government and Christian world in Korea, victory on he had to go through difficulties and win/all those levels. But he had to win on the spiritual
level first. On that spiritual level, by the year 1975, even the Christian population of Korea
together with the government had to - was compelled to - recognize our movement. God
so created the situation in Korea that the government would want our cooperation due to the
fact that it was under the threat of Communist invasion. They came to recognize our movement
and had to utilize our lecturers. On the external level, in the public eyes, it was not the
present day established Christian world, but our movement that could lead the future of Korea.
To the public eyes and also to the governne nt, only our movement and not communist or other
organizations could carry ottt the mission of expelling communism. Centered on our church
we have so far reached the level of nation, starting from the individual level. But as he said
before we have gone through only on the spiritual level. But not only on the spiritual level, but

we have laid the foundation for those level of things also on the physical level - to some
extent. Up to the tribal level, from the inividual level, he has laid the foundation on the
physical level too, to some extent but not on the national level. Because even though Jesus
failed … (tape turned over) through family level up to the in his mission to make things
a success on the national level, he won the success on the spiritual level. Likewise, even
skipping what he had to accomplish on the physial level on the nation-wide things, he could
have reached to the world wide things, and now he is working here. On the national level
as he said before, he excelled all other churches - all other anti-communi is organizations.
So that leaves room for him to havequalification to fight on the world-wide level. But before
his starting his mission on the world-wide level here, from the year 1972 - he had to go through
some portion of indemnity on the national level in Korea. In these 3 years, 1972, 3, 4, we have
to go through indemnity course - being able to pay what we can for this nation and the world
right here. I have sent 3 missionaries to the U. S. In the eastern part of this country, Mr.
Pak was posted, while on the West coast, Miss Kim; and northwest was Sang Chul Kim. Our
mission here, being the world-wide mission, what’s taking place here can signify the whole
thing. The western civilization must be connected with the eastern one. So, on the western
coast, we were spiritually connected Korea and other oriental nations. Eve was placed on the
west, while Adam was placed on the east. For Eve to aspire to what was taking place under
the guidence of one who is in Adam’s position was very important. On the other hand, America
was born out of Britain - an Eve nation. Centered on England, America is situated in the east.
On this continent, Miss Kim was in the position of Eve, while Mr. Pak was in the position of
Adam. Then, Miss Kim should have become one with Mr. Pak towards the east. In the
northwest was Mr. Kim - he was in the position of the archangel. Without repeating the stand
of fall, they should have become one with each other, while they were with entirely different

dispositions. In that light, Miss Kim should not come to the east to take hold of the position
there. In order for her to be able to come to the man in the position of Adam and become
one, she should have restored all the people in that area. If she comes to Mr. Pak in order
to become one with him, it could have been all right, but with division in their minds, she
came and take over the position. You don’t know the particulars of the thing - but they, in
a way did not obey what was commanded by Master and it caused a great difficulty. The one
who was in Eve’s position must become one with Adam, and then with the archangel. But things
came to be the other way around. There came to be rupture. So, if Master would leave things
to go on like that, his mission in the U. S. could not have been accomplished. He saw that
those missionaries could not do the job. Neither Miss Kim nor Mr. Kim, nor Mr. Pak could
do the job. That’s why I brought Mr. Choi from Japan to the West Coast of this land - Japan
being the Eve nation. He, when he came, represented Eve and was placed on the West coast.
If Mr. Choi could carry out his mission as a success, he (Master) could have come to the Master could have east as Adam, and could have been united with him and/restored this land in a proper way.
But, he too, famed to carry out his mission. There has come to be five divisions. When
by the year 1972, when Master landed in this continent, the situation was like that. Things
were in bad situation like that on the internal level - on the spiritual level. That’s why on the
physical level, the whole country, including the state department, would stop him from coming
into this land. So, his strategy was to go as far as Japan and get the visa or entry into Ane rica
but he failed to do that. He went to Canada and via Canada he wanted to come into this
country. Japan was in the positi”n of Eve. Canada, too, because it is the extension of Great
Britain, was in the position of Eve. Right from the start of his third world tour, he was
prevented from coming out of the country in Korea. He failed to get the visa of entry in Japan
and in Canada he faded rejection. If the members of the U. S. had been one in harmony

in strong oneness the road could have been paved for him to enter this country. But because
of the rupture and division between the members and especially between the missionaries,
his way was blocked. He had to open the way by himself. But by the aid coming from above,
from God, he somehow managed to come into this country. That was November 18, 1971.
Starting from the following year, 1972, he has paved the lway for 3 years. He is now on the
way. He proposed to have his public speech tour in the year 1972, but the missionaries,
including the staff b”t :eh national headquarters were reluctant to accept it. As you well most know there have been many complicated situations arising. These 3 years being the/crucial
years, if Master could not pave his way in one year and a half time, then something very
dangerous could have happened. Without his setting up (laying) the foundation in all the states respective and posting the S. R. s in the rarious centers, he could not move on to the next purpose.
We had to cover all the states and in each state I had to place two units of things - one on
the internal level and the other on the external level. The one was the state center, and the
other was the mobile unit. Those two had to become one with each other. Our church
center is the thing of internal leve, while the mobile team, with the public relations developed
was on the external level. If those two become one with each other and those two in oneness
become one with Master, our project can succeed. That’s why I was in such haste to establish
all the centers in 50 states by June - the end of June this year. Then, I instructed you to
establish at least 3 centers in each state. By the end of July 1973 all the complicated things
had been settled and we could cover the whole states with our mobil teams and state centers.
In every one of the 50 states, they started working hard, centered on his command. Now the
goal is set and we are bound for one direction. From now on success will be ours. Ln’t you
think so! (Yes!) Now that we have laid the foundation for our future success in this nation,
it means our success on the world-wide level in the future. Up to the present moment

the missionaries failed to be one with him - rather they were in a way objecting. But
now that they are one with me, they are going to dash on the way. I wrestled and won over
them, and they are now in full cooperation with me, in complete omeness. On the foundation
laid by their coopeation with me, I could set up the day of victory. You can well imagine
how complicated my mind has been to straighten up all those things and re-start and pave
the way and set the goal and have you dash on the way. But the missionaries on their
respective level have done their best, but they failed to become one with me, But they became
one with me now in perfect cooperation. So, now our way is paved. America, being in the
position of the Archangel, and America being the contracted form of all nationalities, I have
brought Japanese brothers here, European brothers and sisters and from here we start the
movement in oneness with all the nationalities in oneness. Between European nations and
the American people, the relationship is that of Cain and Abel. The U. S. is in the position
of Abel, while the European nations are in the position of Cain. If we connect Korea and Japan,
one as the Adam nation and the oter as Eve nation, then perfect unity is going to be created
here. It means that Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve become one.. . It’s something like Adam and
Eve in oneness and Cain and Abel in oneness become one with each other - four elements in
oneness. We are now inactuality in the position of having united with those four powers into
one on the spiritual level. It is something like Jacob’s having won over the archangel at the
ford of Jabbock after the wrestling and become one with his brother and his whole family becoming
one under his command. I left the U. S. on the 7th of July for Japan and arrived there on the
8th. In Japan, too, seemingly impossible things could be solved. Under my command our
young people helped in the campaign of the assemblymen (diet) in Japan. Public opinion was
that at this time the democratic party will occupy the major seats. But the things happened
the other way around by our cooperation. So, after this election the liberal democratic party

and its people came to knees before us. They are anxious to get our cooperation in every
field of what they do. In their minds, our power is the most important and influential one.
My first son, Sun Jin was blessed in marriage in Japan. It was a great event and it was a
mark of victory in Japan. Instead of mother -son cooperation, father-son cooperation was
being realized. In Japanit was the mask of great success and victory. After the victory
won there in Japan I left for Korea. There, too, very complicated problems were arising
because the rumor reached them that we got the permanent visa in this country. They were
anxious about Master’s leaving them and the country for eternity. They felt they were
discarded. But now that I was there I could convince them and explained the situation. On
the external level I was in Jacob’s position to visit my brothers in Esau’s position and it was
a successful meeting too. The government of Korea was in the position of Esau and I made
a great decision to donate $80, 000 to the Korean government before I left Korea. In the
Christian world, too, things have been positive towards our movement, and I could settle
or undo the tangled problems. On the fifth of August, 7th of July according to the Lunar
calendar, we had a very significant ceremony in Korea. Up to the present moment the spirit
men can come down to cooperate with earthly men on the individual level, but not on the as a tribe collective level or tribal level - but I opened the channel for them/to reach the earth to
cooperate with men. By our establishing the foundation to reach the government - to be
reconciled with the government alone, I could pave the way for the spirit men on the triabel
level to come down to the earth plane to help. I had the ceremony of my own tribe - the Moon
Clan - to open up the toll gate to reach to the earth plane and cooperate. Korea, being a small
nation, in a way, all other families are related to - either remotely or closely - related to
the Moon Family. Then by the opening of the channel for the Moon Family to reach the earth
plane, all other families too, will be liberated. In order for the tribes of spiritual level

to come down to work on the physical level, the physical level of things had to be laid
first. But now that it is done in Korea, it is supposed to spread out to reach to the end
of the world. Centered on our movement, our tribe is the blessed families. The blessed
family include members from twehae nations. So on the physical and spiritual levels also
it signifies the liberation of the tribes on the world-wide level too. On the 40th day from
July 1st.. .
… all related families in Korea could have been liberated. Centered on the blessed families
in the Unified Family, all other families in so many nations could be liberated. I have now
come o the U. S. after having done that much. So you should receive me with welcome and
applause. When I come back to the U. S. after that, the whole of the U. S. must welcome me.
Then, the whole world will welcome me and the world which is God’s will be ours. We went
through all the difficulties and reached a certain level. We can never perish, we are sure to
win the victory! What is interesting is that after I arrived on this land, 3 presidents of yours
have either passed away or are seriously ill. That’s no coincidence. For the serious problem
of Watergate - all are in a mess! on the nation-wide level! Then your people’s common
opinion is that they cannot believe in and trust democracy. They cannot trust their goveriiiunt.
They cannot trust their President. The whole government and the Christian world are in corruption.
People, as a whole, are under the threat of communism, adolescent corruption, family rupture,
white and black problem and the diminishing of Christian ideology, poverty of lack of sane and
sound philosophy. All those things are grave and great problems. In peoples’ eyes there is
no one who can prevent this force from undermining the whole nation. But it is more than for them accurate - more than apparent,’to find our group to be the savior. Because of us, people will
feel safe and people will say that the democratic world has the hope of being saved. People
will see that we can prevent the communist power from invading this country. They will

see that we can save the Christian world from being corrupted. We can reunite the family;
we can solve the problem of adolescent corruption; we can solve the problem of black and
white; When the government of the U. S. and its people will recognize that our move ment
can solve all those problems, then our way will be smoothe. On our part, during the coming
3 years, we must acquire the membership of at least 7, 000. It is something like in the days
of Elijah when he thought he was left alone, all the rest having been conquered by the devil
Baal, but he found that still there were left 70 people sane and intact from satanic invasion. and People will look around and they feel hopeless/in despair. And in great despair they will
see the light and in the light they will see a group of 7, 000 left intact from the satanic power.
They will see that this group will save this nation. We are going to show it to them. For
us to do that, we have to acquire 7, 000 members. I have said that the motto of our winning
7, 000 to 8, 000 membership between the year 1974 and 1975. Out of the 8, 000 20 will be on
the mobile teams. Without this number we cznnot conquer in this nation and in the world.
Are you confident to win that many members? (Yes!!) You must nearer forget and put it in
practice to bring in one person per month. If centers have already been in every state, I could
work from there, but I have had to spread out our members to cover all thc e states. So, it
made it difficult to win the membership in the earliest possible date. So, you must work hard
and do your very best.
