6, 1973 (Sunday) . TODAY AND I I’[ 4L ‘Good Morn i Sit Down!

Are there New York Center members here? -This morning my subject is “Today and I”.

Spring is here in Belvedere. Everybody likes Spring. There is a distinction - a clear distinction

between winter and spring. While Spring, Summer and Autumn look like e continuation of season,

since there is clear distinction betwwen Winter and Spring we feel change coming about. We see

that in Spring trees are budding out. There is a great change coming about in the creation. We

see new birds transmigrating from other places. We see flowers bloomingln a way, Spring is the

season in which all the creation sings in praise of God. Human heart also- joins in praise of God and

they want to express themselves to the fullest extent. But when we closely examine there has been a

great effort underground in order for Spring to come. Winter is the priod of trial and preparation for

( the coming Spring. Winter is the accujulation of the power and in a — of the power. Out of the

oppression and pressure is bursting out the power of life and Spring. We also see changes between

the four seasons. But in a sense we don’t have seasons in the natural world alone. Our one day can

be divided into seasons. Our morning corresponds to Spring. Noontime, when we are in the prime state

of the day, symbolizes summer. Evening symbolizes fall. Night symbolizes Winter. When we are

asked what part of the day we like best, everyone may answer “the morning”. it is because the

brightness coming with the dawn is something like awakening from the nocturnal sleep or darkness.

The chirping of the birds, the whispering of the wind, everything seems to awaken our spirit. When

we are in good humor in the morning, we know that this is going to be a good day. After a night’s

rest we feel refreshed too. rust as one day can be divided into seasons, our whole life can be divided

into seasons. As you well know ax adolescent period corresponds to spring. Youth corresponds to

Summer, middle age corresponds or over to Fall and ageness corresponds to Winter. When we set

ourselves in motion, we fell that we are breaking through the accumulation of the power latent in ourseb

In the circular movement, to go down is easier and- to go up is a little more difficult. Those cycles -

that cycle can correspond to seasons too.

When we speak about human history, the same thing can be applied. But has human history ever

seen its Spring? Our answer is “No. “ Why is it so? It is because of the human fall. Human fall

caused Spring into annhilation. At the time of creation, the period of growth up to perfection can It is correspond to Winter. The sphere of resultant domination or indirect domination. After that period

of indirect sphere of domination, we were supposed to reach the stage of perfection where men should

have been put under direct dominion by God. Due to the human fall, there have been wars, disease

and many other miseryies in human histroy and we must think that in that period of time we go through

trials in preparation for the coming Spring. Very possibly during the Winter months and during the

dark period of night, evil things can be active. When we go through Winter period, we must be well

prepared for that because it is the period of trial. The Winter deepens and at the end of it a new

dawn comes entering upon Spring. At the zero o’clock a new day begins to dawn. But we can safely

say that there is no single person in the whole world who can really pinpoint the time of zero 8clock.

We cannot say that we really enjoy the Spring when we don’t have the humor or mood of welcoming

in the season at the zero o’clock of the season. We don’t know the distinction between Spring and

Summer. There seems to be no’ distinction between Summer and Fall either. Without our being

conscious, the seasons change and go by and history does the same. As I have said; human history

has gone through its winter. It has gone through its winter and then Spring comes. It has gone through

its winter and Spring comes. Human history has to go through those four stages and on the individual

base, too, you have to go through something like four seasons ih your life. Some of you represent

more Spring, while some others represent Summer from their disposition and all the rest. ‘Still

more represent Fall and the rest represent the Winter. Some are warm natured, some are passionate, are some are cool and collected, some vacillate and cold. But every one of us struggles hard to bring -

Spring into our life. In doing that we must go thoough trials and strife. But before anything else,

you must know how to define yourself. Are you of such disposition representing Spring, Summe r,

Winter or Fall? Those who belong to Fall, must be ready to go through Winter and enter into

Spring. But if you try to go backward and if you are headed for Summer to go to Spring, it’s not the

way it should be.

However hard you may struggle you cannot attain Summer or Spring in that way. If you are in

(‘’^ Spring by disposition, you must be fall - you must be ready to go through the trial of -Winter to

welcome Spring, It is not only -on the individual level, but on the national level too, we see the same

thing and the -nations must try hard to welcome in her spring. The universe itself is in -motion and

it circles around. There is ups and downs and whirling about and by the repetition of circular motion, history Vit advances ahead. The circular motion, when it is done in harmony is going to be a good one. So~~

we cannot define that human history is only dark or pessimistic. Every individual in the human scene

will play his or her human role. The most important thing-is to define yourself whereto belong.

You must know . in what season you r nation is. Then you must grasp the not ion of how you are

going to go through that-season. My subject this morning is Today and I, but out of today, this moment

is most impor tant and you must be thinking of this moment and I (yourself). Now we are -in the morning

Is our life in the Spring now? Is my disposition and nature in Spring? Do I belong to Spring? When

…you ara asked-whatis your favorite season, the answers may vary. Some like Spring most, - some

like summer best. When any one of the culture and civilization was created, t +re it was in the

Spring, but it has to go through the cycle of the four seasons. When you are in the adolescent period,

you are in Spring and when you are young, everything gives you poetic feeling and without exception

young people are poets and artists and they feel things -to the depths of their hearts. There is a

Korean saying that even fallen leaves will make you laugh and smile when you are young. When you

are-:in the Spring of life, you reconcile with everything and yomare harmonized with everything and

anything. In the creation or in the coming about of a civilization there is a period of time corresponding

to- Wintery and in that age the pregnancy or conception is coming about, then after the dawning of t

civilization, it grows into Summer after ‘the Spring and Wi lls into the Autumn and comes into the ripedned

age and then it has to go through Winter again. In the human history, the sphere of civilization-came

from the tropical zone. Egyptian civilization, Indian civil izat ion, Mediterranean (Babylonian)- and f Chinese civilization all were created on the tropical zones or the zones near the tropical area.

After its maturity it will be moved unto another zone.

Now the sphere of civilization came to settle in the mild zone. When we say we are in the mild zone

it means we are above the Juator and between 25 to 38th parallel. We are placed there. The

American and British cibilization are in the temporal zone and it is entering symbolically on the

Autumn season. It is on the stage to enter into the winter season where Soviet civilization and other

are in collision, conflict e they are faced with the winker zone. Communism

symbolizes Winter. It prevents the civilization belonging to temporal zone from growing. In the

democratic world we are entering the harvest season of Fall. But since we are in the Fall, we have

to look for the crops - the fruit of the past seasons and find them out. Are there well ripe fruit, are

there seeds to bear life to be sown and to be having in the Spring.? Sunbolizally we are now in the

Winter when the Siberial\ wind are blowing hard and all the leaves are fallen, e are in a way

in hibernation, but we will have the promised Spring ahead. The question is whether or not we remain

ripe fruit or seed so that .in Spring we will sprout out into life again. As younay know the nuts,

like pine nuts, in the Wintertime when the northern wind blows bitterly it sometimes cracks open.

There is readiness for the life to spring out. In the Winter the life is in the nutshells and it is

accumulated there in preparation for the oo ming Spring. It is oppressed, it is condensed, but there

is the power of life always ready. At the dawn of the new season it will bud out into life again.

We said that in the democratic world in Christendom, we are going through Winter season now. But

are there many fruits to bear the life ready for the Spring. What do you think? (Yes!) What does

your “yea” mean? You are the seeds bearing life. When you are the seeds of life in the nutshells,

however hard the northern wind or Communistic wind will bdx blow, you will not lose your life.

If you are influenced by the communistic wind that means that your life is weak. There are many

people as such in the Christian world, arent’s there. (Yes.) What about you? (No!) Is it true?

(Yes.) Your eyes tell me that you are not too confident. In the very core of you as the seed, do you

have the warmth with which you can warm up the coldness of winter? ( Yes) When you have the warmth

with which you can melt away the icy cold winter, then you will create your own Spring. When Wint’

is here, Spring is not far behind.

But some seeds die away or lose their life before the coming of Spring. Do you happen to be like

that? ‘No!) Still others can die away entering upon Spring, even. Some can lose their life while

the Master, the sower, is taking the seeds out into the seeds to sow them. Would you want to be that?

(No!) It is possible. There are other sedds left alone without the sower or master tak i.ng it to b e

planted. So, you must be alert to be used by the master, the sower. Would you like to be sown into

the field? (Yes!) Is it true? (Yes!) When the sower sows the seeds, would he wash out all the soil

to make them into sandy thing and plant it, or would he fertilize it with dirty things and plant the seeds?

Why doesn’t he sow it into the sandy place where it is clean and everything? Would you feel well treated

w hen you are planted into dirty soil - with fertilizers and all? You feel ill treated, don’t you? If you

are a well ripe seed full of life, you have to go through the Spring intact from any invasion that it would

kill your life, then in the Spring you must be well used by the sower. The Unification Church, as a whole

is a seed. It is a seed that will bring about a nation in life. In order to create life or bear life, we must

p lant the seed to sproutl out into inxx family. In order for us to repp a family, we must plant

`individuals. We cannot avoid this. Are you a seed with life? During the wintertime you must go throughl .. z trial and after winning aver the trial you are planted into the soil to be corrupted into another life.

After the trial of winter, you are planted into the soil, you are sown into the soil and the Master will

step and pound upon it. Would you want to be sown into soil with the fertilizer under it or without the

feritlizer? (With!) You are right in or on the feritilizer and it is very six± stinky. If you are

reluctant the to absorb the fertilizer and you reject it, you are not going to grow wholesomely.

Are you aready to be sown into the soil - into the giu und? When can it be done? Are you prepared to

go to the dirtiest plaee in the U. S.? Then go ahead. Can you go by yourselves? You must have the

sower, you cannot do that by yourselves. The sower must be a speciliat in that field and then you

are going to be used in the right way. The Unification Church and the members in it, must welcome

the Winter season and during which time we must go through trials and hardships or else our seed

‘~ will not prove its life. In the time tide of struggle and hardships and in the oppression and persecution

b y others, we must bear our life to be ready for the Spring.

Are you with that power? - the power of life? Do you have that power? (Yes!) Is it power of

self control. How much strong a power do you have? If the cold and bitter wind beats against you,

would you still bear life? Is it true? Then, sometimes I can delibertaely put you in trials and after

the Winter I must sort out and out of the many I must choose one to be planted nin the best field.

Who is prepared for that? I must choose the best one out of so many and the way of testing which salt is the best is to put them in the water and the best seed is the heaviest and it will begin to sink.

When you have a handful of seed and let them drop and the empty ones - the light ones - will be

blown away by the wind. Isn’t that true? (Yes.) If you vacillate, sway back and forth in the wind,

in the trial, those are empty seeds. You are liable to temptation and you listen to what people are

saying against our movement and then you are empty seeds. Are you ripe seeds? (Yes) 30% or

70% or 100% ripe? (100%!) 100%? (Yesl) If you are 100% ripe, even God cannot kill you. If

you are not ripe enough when I kick at you, when I put you in trial you will fade away and you will

lose your life. Are you that kind? Each one of you knows yourself better than anyone else. This

is the natural law and antyhing bearing life can enjoy the Spring. We, in the Unification Movment,

are going through the Winter season, but qtr e are in a way entering the Spring. But we have not been

able to have our Summer and Fall. If we are still in the Winter, are we ready to go over into the

next stage? (Yes!) We, as a seed, are in a shell - a mild and tender shell of democracy and a iard

shell outside of Communism. But we have to burst it open to come into life. If we begin to grow inside,

then it is split open - the nut shell - and sprout out into buds and leaves. Are you ready for that? (Yes!)

I cannot trust you. Thaxaxsx We have barely a crack - an opening. In order for us to burst open the

s hell, we must have the power more than that of the U. S., more than that of the communistic nations.

We must ha e the stronger power than the democratic and communist world - bigger and stronger.

Are we like that? We may be stronger than their power, but not bigger as yet. If we are with life,

we grow We then burst out into leaves and grow to be trunks and to bear branches. The branches

w ith moreleaves will bear floe rs and then fruit. The botanist - the specUilist - will trim the tree

and cut off some braches and then the tree will grow healthfully.

0 If each one of you is a tree, for instance, do you have branches. If you are with many beahens

would you like to cut off your braches and be grafted and planted into many places to be multiplied.

Why are you here.? Are you here to prepare yourselves to e good seeds, or are you already seeds (Yes!) I cannot believe it. t o be planed into good soil? As I see, you are not quite ripened seeds, if I step on you you will crack

away because you are empty. Ask yourself and your heart will tell you. Do you know chestnuts?

Outisde there is a thorny thing :and inside well - from outside appearance we cannot tell whether it is

ri pe or not. But when you track it open, there are many empty and crooked chestnuts Are you well

ripe chestnuts? not empty or crooked? or diseased? Why don’t you answer me? Well ripe.

Well ripe. Yes! Wherever I may plant you, would you bear life and spring out and grow healthfully.

( Yes) Then I can be reassured. Yes, you are here for the preparation - for that kind of preparation.

I am going to plant you into dirty soil. Are you willing to go to the dirtiest place? (Yes!) Where is

the worst place in the U.S.? (New York!) (Father laughs) There are. many side functions - side

effects coming about, can you bear those things out? Endure? Will you frown and be reluctant to

go through those things? I will keep my eyes wide open and watch you. If you frown,. I will give.

you up. No complaint$! You must have the attitude of being used in any way by the Master and

you can call out to the season, “begone with Winter and I am ready for the Spring and I want to be used

by the right hand and to be planted in the right place, and I want to enjoy and have my right Spring.

When you-are planted into the soil, can you move about from place to place at your own will? You must

b e ready to lose your life there. Then you will gain another life to be multiplied`X. Are you hurt

w hen you hear that you are going to be planted and that you cannot move until you are corrupted and without

life? Do you know that the serpents, when matured, will be rid of its skin? When it tries to take off

its skins, it will try to go through a small hole between the rocks. After taking off its skin, it will

grow larger, are you ready for that? (Yes! ) Even for the trees, then they want to grow, they have

I to repulse their circumstances and it must grow out of the hardships. Myself am going through

difficulties and trials here. If I were in Korea I can freely talk in my own language, but here I have

to use my interpreter and I am not free in talking. If I can speak in my native tongue, you can be cooked in my own way and by using my interpreter I feel like a crippled man.

Do you think of me as being crippled? No!) Just wait and see and you will know what is happening.

Our movement is going to grow and I am going to make it so. I have met so many Senators and

Congressmen and the top lefel people too, and I fell emptiness resounding. So, I feel I can spread

out my roots in the soil. I was going to make three tests and- one test is done. Two more are

left. I am going to spread out my root in this soil of the U. S. Even though you may rejector come

against me, I will do that. Are you going to reject me or come into cooperation with me? (Cooperatin!)

If you are seeds with life, the whole nature - the whole creation is supposed to come into cooperation

with you. That’s the natural law. Then, you can sprout out even without my help, maybe. But

something must be done here. You are not trees or seeds whole and sane. If yu are already trees

you must already be cut and be engrafted to me. The stage of being engrafted is to become adopted

children, but even without you my tree is growing wholesomely as my own children as the fruits and

I caz realize God’s will in that way too. Only it will take a longer time. Who is in m ore of a hurry,

I or you? (We!) Are you in hasty efforts to be cut off from the worldly things and engrafted to me?

(Yes!) In order for you to go through that stage, you must be prepared for trials and hardships

corresponding to Winter. Has human history ever seen a period like this, when the whole world is

being swept by evil power? The threat of communism is everywhere. It is heralding the coming of

the close of the age. Seeds without life will perish and be corrupted. Are the people in the Christian

w orld well ripe seeds? (No.) One e the communist wind is here, they well be blown away - empty.

The naton of the U. S. - are they ready to repel the icy wind of communism? The nation of Germany

the nation of Japan are strong nations, but they are being swept by the communistic power. What

about the U. S. ? If you go on like this, before long you will come to knees before communism. The

Chritian world is corrupted not to speak of the communist world. In the demoratic world the people

are also being withered . Also in the religius !world we cannot find any power But here are pe pie

springing out as spring and I hope that the members of the U. C. will bear life that can never

perish from the winds of communism

to be conspicuous by the world eyes. Are you like that? (Yesl) Is it true? (Yes!) We must continue

to grow as individuals, as families, and on the national and world wide level.

In the democratic world we can pave our way and go trhough all the difficulties without much frustration.

But if and when we can go through the communistic world with power and life to attain the goal, then

all the world will belong to us. In tha case shouuld be x stronger than the communist pow r or not.?

(Yes!) Yes! Yes, we must be stronger. Then, I must train you in the severer way than they do in

the communistic world. From your part yo must obey me more than they do in the communis tic

world. IWor the time being you must be deprived of your freedom. They do that by violence, oppression,

but you must do tha from willinghess. Areyou like that? (Yes!) Even without me here among you,

you must be ready to be planted in the worst soil and sprout out to bear life and to bear fruit. Then

the whole world will be ours and God’s also and then God will enjoy the Spring with all humanity.

After the long dreary winter of indierct dominion by God which was caused by human fall, we will

have our s pring and we will bear our life and from thenon God can enjoy the Spring of His creation,

which was lost by the human fall. When we welcome the Spring - when we create the spring out of our

own hands, then there will be God’s love, joy and appiness abiding in human hands and will enjoy

our life with Spring with God and this will be the start of the new civilization. Then the human history

will start right overagain starting from Spring and we will go through the prime stage of civilization

going through the Summer, by the time we reach Autumn the human civilizatin will be reaped by God’s

hands. We will return joy and ha piness to him - our creator. We are going to be in the vanguard of

others. What will happen by that time? What will the world be like? The world will be full of life and

joy and love of God, At that time you are going to live with God and you can never deny God because

God will be visible and live with you in actuality. You can develop another five senses and you will

be clairvoyaht and everything and you can sense the spirit world. The spiritual plane is where we

with the art of thought it will be actualized. For instance, if you miss your friend and wnat to have

him here, he will come without your having to write letters to him. Can you believe that? (Yes!)

If you look at the seed alone, can you believe that out of this small thing life will spring of to bear

fruit and leaves and buds will come. Can you believe that. But it is true and what I am saying right

now will be proven to you.

God does not seem to live ;with us now, because Spring is not prepared by our hands. But once Spring

is here, God will come into human society living with us. If you contemplate all those things, if you

bear in mind the future you are going to create in which God will leve with you, it will come true ---’

and without your contemplating over the fact - without the thought oIxx in your minds - it will be ~>

actualized. Centering on yourself, if you deberate over what you are, you must define in what stage

you are now. As a whole do you represent Summer, etc. Are you in your Spring now, if

you represent all the seasons. You must know that. You must imagine and fancy that you are already

in the universal Spring where the chirping birds and singing brooks - everything in creation sings in

praise of God and you are in reconciliation and harm ony with nature and you are perfecte d selves

representing God’s beauty and all those things. You will be intoxicated in the bralue and beauty of

things. Unless you contemplate and i think of your being in those things then you cannot have the

So, today and I is the most important thing and this moment is more important than anything else.

Even though you are still in the winter of trial, you must have the hope set before you. Only, in the

hope you can get ov er the t trials and hardships. You can even be hapy in go ng through the hardhsip

before the coming of the Spring. If in going through the stage of winter, you are frustrated and sad L

grievous and sorrowful , then your seeds will be apt to lose life. That’s why in the ible we read

continue to pray - pray without ceasing and pray in gratitude” Today is the foundation or basis for

tomorrow, so in going through the stage of trials I want you to be courageous and even joyful with

hope of the cming Spring in which you will sprout out into life. Without your being that, Spring will

have nothing to do with you. Shall we pray(

“OUR NEW GOAL” May 5, 1973 40-Day Training Session

Good Morning! Sit Down!

I thank our Heavenly Father, because you have been doing a fine job while I was away.

The older trainees here sent many members off and welcomed more. My trip to Washington was

a fruitful one and everything went on nicely and sooner than I expected, so I came back earlier

than I planned. The numbers of the older trainees and new ones are about the same, as I understand 1 and I hope that the new ones will do a better job. I always like new things better than old things. IB Fort the newcomers, my subject this morning is going to be our new Godl. worldly Our goal is always different from that of the wxax1 people. In the world, people plan their

own projects and go towards their own goal of their plan. But here, we go forward towards the goal

already set by God. Then, which is more worthwhle and which is more valuable. Of course, there

is no question, there is no refutation _ there as to our goal is the best one. Our goal

is that which history has never seen. In setting up their goal, the worldly people think of their

successes in the worldly careers and at best the success of their own family. But our goal is entirely

different from theirs and there is no comparison between the two. We are not alone on the way, but

we have God on our side, helping us on the way. In the wor .d, too, ther Parents may encourage them

the people headed for the goal, and the friends, relatives and children may encourage them, but on our

side there is God working for us, encouraging us - and that is what makes it different. Our goal cannot

differ from the goal Goad would set before us.

God is just one God, so God -centered people’s goal is just the same. There is the fixed image

or picture of what individuals should be, what families shouldbe, what clans and nations should be

under God’s concept. If we know what God’s views of those things are and are headed for that goal,

then that’s the most wonderful thing in the whole ws rid. There are so many nations inthe world - so

many people living in those nations, but their ways are so different from one another. Out of the

fl millions of different ways, we cannot decide on which is the better and which is the best. The diversity makes collision or conflict between the people and we cannot compare them to find out which

is the best one. No one way is straight forward - their ways are crooked and go zig zag like this.

The democratic world has its own goal and they say they are loving God, but the ways of all the

, people are different from one another, not to speak of the different ways in the Communistic world.

In the Communistic world they claim that they are headed for this goal and the people are going

different ways. It is because their goals always vacillate and are not set at the same point. If there

be any heavenly way, the way should not be zig zag like that. God would want us to go on the straight

way. The goals of individuals, families, fix clans and nations homogenous ones - just the same

one, only differing on the scope and level. Then, there must be a force driving us on the straight

forward way. What is the power behind us? The power always stimulates us, encouraging us every

moment. Without that power we cannot steer on the way. There is an invisible rope tossed to us and

we are fast holding onto the rope the other end of which God is holding fast. He will either pull us

or go towards us on the rope. What must be that power coming from God? In what way are we

drawn to that power? Are we unwilling, reluctant to be drawn and attracted to Him, or are we most

willingly going towards God? If we are willing to be drawn to God, we can dance about and sing on

the way towards God. Then, what must be the power pulling us so? That’s the power of love from

God. Love alone, can cause us to go on the straight way towards the goal. If the goal is fixed and

never changes, the way will never change and we must be going on the straight way and love alone can

make us unchanging and never vacillating. If there be God at all, we can believe in Him and we can

believe that the goal set before us by Him is the final, ultimate goal and the path of love is leading

towards that goal. Then, what is the contents of love? What is that love like - that must be concrete

kinds of love - not abstract. The love must be such that before even going there and meeting God, we

must m ss Him beforehand. We miss Him every moment. We long to live with God. That must

be the place} where we miss and where we long to go and live there with God. That love abiding there

must be the best love of any kind in the whole world. How many kinds of love relationships are there

in the world? Parental love, conjugal love, and children’s love - those are the main kinds of love, but

there are loves between friends, between relatives, between nations - there are many other kinds too.

With the main kinds of love, too; we always sway and vacillate, but this final kind of love must

‘1 not sway or vacillate at all. We must put final stress on this love, because God is there trying to

pull us on the straight line, not on the zig zag one. God is calling to us to cling on the rope to reach

Him - or to transcend the rope and to reach him by leaps and bounds if possible. God cannot but set

before strong law and pattern of how to readh Him. Would He want the love transcending death or

vulnerable to it? Transcending. In other words, that means that we must be able to reach Him at

the cost of, at the sacrifice of, our lives. That’s w in the Bible, we read as the first commandment

to love God with ell our soul, i all our mind and all our l heart. In that way we must not take

dearly of our lives, but transcending our lives, we must cling to the love of God. In the spring we

see life powers springing out as buds. After awhile leaves will be in their prime state and then flowers sower a nd then after that the fruit will come. The purpose of the is to harvest the fruits. When God

wanted us to love him with all our soul and our heart and might, it means that from His partl~vill

-dove us most. If we love Him with all our might and with all our soul, the coops will be for us.

With whom are we in love? Before our loving each other on the horizontal level, we must be able

to love God on the vertical level. Seen from the viewpoint where love started, we must find the

love in God first. On the human level, too, the love on the horizontal level comes first - the love

between the parents and children is the utmost one. In our love with God, too, we place Him in the

position of our parents, the ultimate parents of our source of life. And then love will be coming to us

on the horizontal level, multiplying and being conveyed to other people. Has there been any single

man in the whole world who has attained that kind of love ix x and has the experience of experienced

God love as the first son of God.. . ? But for the human fall - that may have been possible

to anyone. But for the fall there has never been such a person. Can that love between us as the childre

and God as the Father, change.? If that is an ultimate one, can it change? When it is cloudly, our

mind is cloudly and then we feel gloomy, and when the sun is shining our mind becomes bright and ~1 gay. But in the mood of the love between God and man, that can never be possible. The love between

God and man in the truest sense can never change. It is not changeable. Things on the physical

level in the worldy level may sway and be changed, but never the love, of God.

Wouldn’t that be logical? If the love between God and man is vacillating, then we cannot call it the

ultimate love or the source of love. That love once decided, will go through eternity. It wilinever

change as seasons go by as and in love on the physical level after having loved one

person many years, you can be changed and feel like loving other person. s But this love is eternal.

On the human lvel too, do you want your lovers to change ;and vacillate? Even though you may have

to change, you expect and your hope that the love of your spouse or the love your sweethearts will

never change. Isn’t that true? But when we think of God as never changing, subjective being, we cannot

expect his love to change. So, again we can come to the conclusion that once our love between God

and ourseves is decided, then this love will go through eternity and never change. Sometimes we a

like changes, we like new things and you may think that if that love has to go through eternity it’s no

good. There is n000ne inthe world who would kix hate the idea of progressing toward this. Do you

want to progress in love too? After hying found the person you are in love with, do you still want

the love to progress? If in that love you hat e reached the goal, would you watit any change? or

cthange of any type? After attaining the goal, would you want to progress there? Would you want

a change = even a progressive change - progress means change to the next cbax stage. If you have

attained the goal of love would you have it changed? or progressed? You must i1xx know it clearly.

Would you want any change there or progress? Can there be any change in parents’ love toward their

children? Can there be any change between the love of the lovers? Then, there cannot be any progress.

By progress he means “change” (laugher) When you are progresed to the next change, it’

different from what it used to be. So, after having attained the goal of your love, you want it progressed?

When you attained love. When you have your lover, you hate the idea of change between you and you

wouldn’t anyone to be added there. Do you understand? Nothing can be added and nothing to be reduced.

When you love your own parents, can you say this “Well, my parents are not handsome enough, I want

to exhcnage my parents with so and so’s. Would you say that. There can be nothing added to love

nd reduced from love. So, my definition is that there is no revolution, no change or even progress

in the ultimate love. Is it clear to you? The quality and oontents of parents love will not differ x betwee

one in thousand years before and millions of years later.

The parents in the olden days and parents inthe future the manner and contents of their love will

be the same. Is there any change or any progress there? It remains just the same. If it is the

ultimate and truest love, there can be no revolution, no progress possible. It remains like that foreJ

a nd that love cannot change our view of~Yk life. If and when in that ultimate love our view of life and

ivew of everything is set, then those things will never change through eternity. People are groping in

the darkness in search of something and that something is God’s love. Once they meet with God and live

in God’s love, there will be no change, no revolution and no progress. That ultimate thing will stay

as it is throughout all eternity. Human aspiration is to live in God’s love and in the world we have

established in which we will enjoy everlasting, unchanging love on the individual, family and other

levels too. If, in yourselves, and if in your family and your nation, there is God’s love abiding, you

cannot leave the place in serarch of others, you want to remain there forefer. The Wu question is

that we have not located that kind of place. We mustknow that the goal that God has set before us is

an unchangeable one. That goal will be the source of the universe and the start and end - the beginning

and end of everything. We want to draw a dtraight line towards that goal and this is the ultimate des ‘n

of all mankind. Nothing can draw the stra ight line, but ultimo e love. Through the path of love alone

we can go straight forward to God. Isn’t that true? On the way there may be many boundaries as

to individual, family, clan national level and world-wide level. But all those things are on the straight (drawing on board) line of love, reaching God. For example: How love is going to be

we go through all those levels individual, family and clan and national. As we go alon~on the straight

line, the love multplies and broadens and never vacillates and the line will stay striaght. The dimension

or the value of your personality will be decided ox by how much you can adjust to the straight line -

adjust yourself to the straight lien of love. For the families, too, in proportion to the degree they

can adjust themselves to the dentral family reaching God, they can be near God or far astray from God.

From God’s pa rt, He has the set picture of how individuals should be in the love of God and how nations on the various levels and world should bein the love of God. If we stay on the straight line in the love of God, then we can

communicate back anrr dforth with God in the love of God. Isn’t that true? (Yes!)

Then, what must be the funtion of that kind of ultimate love. That type of love can focus our five

sense, every sense of ours into one point where God’s ultimate love abides.

With our eyes, we must long to see God, with our ears we long to hear his voice, we long to

smell him with our nose, and with our mouth we long to speak with him, and we want to touch him

‘and feel him. All our fives senses will be focused on that ultimate being. Like axx xrm a lightining

rod all sorts of electric negative power will be focused there. Is that true? When all our senses are

focused at one place or on one point, that’s where God’s love abides. If the sensation of love there

all the five sense are focused on that point and all your cells will function then. Your eyes, your

ears, your nose, your mouth and everything will automatically function that way to be at one point.

In that case, this is not because of yourself, but because of the lover that you will become that way.

If ;you are in love with someone, would you want to stay alone, or go and join him or her? In that

case you deny yourslef and the person alone is in your senses (sensation). You forget to eat, your

forget to sleep and cloth yoursblf. The only thing you want is that person you love. You don’t put

stress on yo irself, but on the objective person. So, the love will be fruitful in that person and that

person is the object of your ideal. Our love first of all must be able to meet the subjective source -

‘hat is God. God is in the place of our parent - the ultimate parents or the s ery source of our being.

Then again our defintion of love is that our love, if it is an ultimate one, should never change, no revolutio:

or progress is possible there. Have you experienced that kind of love in your life? So, we are destined

to set out in search of that love. If it had not been for human fall as our divine principle teaches us,

w hen the perfect subject is there, the perfect object can be created and drawn into the perfect subject

to be made into one. And when perfect minus is there, perfect plus can be drawn into and made into one.

Human fall is something like insulation body, cutting off between plus current and minus current of

electricity. With that insulation body in between the subjective love and objective base is separated

far from each other. Like opposite poles. There is an insulation body in between - an insulator.

There is an insulator between here so we cannot reach him directly so we have to make a detour by

treading on the round about way we reach God. By dodging the insulator, we reach God. There is the

f omise of our meeting od in the close of the days - in the Latter Days. In bther words, the days in v

which we meet God is the Latter Days and 1xx at the day of the Second Coming of the Lord. If man

can meet God in that way, what is the way like?

If we meet God and then in the love - in the path of love we go the straight way.ci asked back if

he said we can reach God like this, how can we reach him on the straight way? There is God and

man and in between God there is an insulator , so we must dodge away and

but if we join God and meet with God, then only the striahgt way or straight line is possible. To go

the way of love on the individual, family, etc. levels. On this straight line there are no changes

or progress or no revolution possible. If you are united with your spouse in the love of God, after

letting God in your family, then your i xx love in the family will never change it will go on the

straight line through eternity. The love on the next level and the next will be the same. Wouldn’t

that be true? Can there be any such thing such as divorce? (No!) Is the power of love that uniting

two into one or cutting those off from each other? (Uniting!) The more you be with each other, the

more you love each other, wouldn’t you? After having seen that person once, would you want to see

him no more? You want to see him, hear him and live with him forever. Once you have heard him,

once youhave tasted and seen him, will you never want to do that anymore? Happiness is the sensation

that arises in yoursd f when you meet your final spouse in love and in that love you will never change

you will never want to see progress and revolution and you want to be tvith that person and you will

want to use every sense of yours with that person never separating with him or her. That by will

be the power creating any level of culture or civilization on the individual, family, nationl world-wide

levels. If there be any civizliations or culture created under that kind of love, would God want to destroy

it? If you are given a handkership like this by your lover this has a sentimental value and you want to

keep it forever and you wouldn’t take anythng c else for this. If any culture in the human society has

been created in that kind of love, God would not want to destroy it and keep it through it through eternity

exalting it before humanity. Would God or you want to destroy anything created in the love between

God and yourself? You want tokeep it through eternity. Even in the movies you see lovers after’

they parted from each other, they take dearly of the place where once they met, and when you are in

a sad mood you will visit that place and when you are will recite poems and cry and you want to

keep that memory even. If any human culture is created in the love og God, God can never a estroy

that. He wants to keep it through eternity. If any nation is formed or created in the love of God, God

will never destroy that nation. There can be changes, destruction, rise and fall, revolution and

~l rogress in the world. But if and when that kind of cultural pphere is created is destined to go

through eternity, nefer changing and never being destroyed. In the olden days people were situated

far from God, far from the central point, so they would zig zag like that, but not much collision ore

conflict came about. But when you drawn near to the close of the day, which means we draw drear

to God, more collision, more conflict, more disaster cyan come about. In the olden days, things

happening in the Eastern and Western worl d had hffiothign to do with each other, but in the close of the

day when humanity comes closr to God, thee have something to do with God and the closer they are 0

there are more conflicts coming about. East and West wiithwill come into collision and God and Satan

will be in fiercer battle and if in the conflict you will not repulse with each other and go farther from

each other, but in conflict you come closer and stay there, the oneness or unity can come about - after being the collission. In the collision, the U. S. is broken to pieces. There is no nation, no family, no

unity, no love relationship on any level of things. But there are individuals who xràiowould stick to

the center point in the conflict and those individuals will stay where and as the central point will turn

as the axis and those who cling to God will turn with him in the motion a You have individualism in

this country, but if that individualism is gong to meet God on the individual level, if that person of

individualism loves himself so much as to possess God as to cling to Him, that individualism will be

fruitful there and he will never be parted from God. If your individual is like the minus and even though

it is in the opposite position, when perfect plus comes it will stick to that and become one and it wil

be in the right place. But if your individualism is being played the part of plus to the ultimate plus then

it will repulse and you will be parted from God. So, in the D. P. moven emtn, we want to make you

as the individuals ih the postion of minus sothat you will be dran to God and be united in one with Him.

In that case you are simply the individualis in the pos n of minus and you will be dran to the subjectivity

H of hod and you will be one with God. Once you join our movement, your worldly family will perseucte

you and object to what you afe doing, but if you cling to God cloer and closer you will never be separated

from God even though you may be separated from your family. In the long run they will be drawn to the

of history. The will go away and in the latter da s when we meet and and centralize all

our efforts toward him, we can become closer to Him. After having gone through so much energy

imagine the scene of your parents having been in search of their lost children and from God’s part as

the Father in search of his lost childre has gone trhough so much difficulty through 6, 00 years and

barely reached you and he wants to hug you and at that moment and retortingly say to him, “who are

you, I don’t know you. “ How agonized he must have been. When you meet him, he has black hair and

while you have blond and golden hair. What can make me his son? I have nothing to do with you. Would

you say that? Hae you ever stopped to think or imagine what color would God’s hair would be? Black

or blond? \oig What i x if God’s skin is balck as negro people. Would you still love him? (Yes!)

It is easy to answer Yes, when you have heard me speak like that. But God is everywhere and God c~ ’

be everything, so God’s skin can be white, yellow and black. If you find your God to be black, would

you call him a balck man’s God and not yours? If you find him in yellow complexion, would you say

that that God belongs to yellow people and not ours2 He will have either every color or no color or

ranscend the color. So, color will have nomeaning or will m not matter at all. If you find your God to

be black and when God says to you O my dear son and you will cling to him and cry out O my father, then

he iv ill love you all the more. In that case you have bean in the nothaxx pole and God may hav e been in you than e been separated frm him so long the quator and you are his son and h is balck and when you come back you will cry in the bosom of your

father in bitteress and heartache. If you really deel that he is your father, would you feel difference

of the color his skin? In love, color doesn’t matter at all. The relationship of rather and son is

only that which matters. Have you ever imagined that your father, after having been so far awy

you weep and cry in the love you have restored. Have ;you had that kind of experience? or have you

imagined that? If, from your part too, you have been in search of your own father and you have met

with your own father and you r father is black or white, how glad you would be, you will dance the most

If you do things for the sake of God, for ythe sake of your brothers denying youself, then God will

recognize you. If you do things at he sacrifice of yourself, God will love you more, and in that case ~1 ‘you are not losing yourself but gaining youself. Our goal should be corresponding to God’s Afte having

been loved and met and united with God, then you must be able to pave the way for ohers to reach God.

That’s the next thing that you should do. You must be able to play the role of the bridge betwen God

and the people, the nation and the whole w orld. ‘ien you will be loved more by God and more by the

people of the whole world. If you are really united into one with God in the ulanate love, you wnt to

do things for His sake andin His place that’s why we want to do things in the shoes of the servant with

the heart of the father, sharing tears for humanity, sweat for and blood for God. It’s because

God has done the same for us When he was in search of his chidren, he would go forward even t ough

he may have to bleed, shed tears and perspirr. We have to do the same when we go in the search of

the lost children of God. Yaasa @hen and if you really know God and know what he has gone trough

to locate you, and if you ae the sons of filial piety to him, then you must carry out what God you Father

has been doing. In place of him you must go in place of God and bring them back to God. You know

that God is omnispresent, omnisicent. Every village you visit and every man you meet you must feel

that God is already there to weep with yo, cry with you and shed tears aril rib leed there. So, as the

son of filial piety you must know that God is there working with you. Wherever you go, the place

you go has seen God’s sweat and tears and blood. So, you must always remember that and you must

clear away his remorse and resentment. By clearing away all that you must do the job of the son of

filial piety. Whateverplace of you may go whateger person you may meet, you must place yourself

in the position of God and must feel compassion over that person and that he is your own pbrotger abd

that you have meet with him after such a long time and he has been living so long w± x as an orphan.

So you must love him with all your mind and all your soul and he will be drwwn to you and drawn to

father. If you are the real brother to him, would you not be glad when you have located him. Would

you not bring him to God and before that would you not take off ;your own clothese and cloth him with

those removing the rages with what and cloth him and bring him to you father and happy to seem

him welcoming

loved by your father more than he does you. You have already met your father and your are in the

love of your father and how much anxious you must be to restore the love of your father to them

and they don’t know his love, they are orphans. You must remember that there are more lost

because you cannot reach out of every one in the whole world. Then you must pray hard and by

shedding and tears for them, you must pray and do the wornk fouxx God would have you do at the cost

of your life and at the cost of your whole being. You are back here for training, but every one of you

must be anxious to get training to go out to the battlefield so you can be in search of God’s children

and bring them back to God who is waiting for them to come back. If you can forget yourself and

do things at the sacrifice of your own life, then you will be more loved and God will be proud of you

knowig the will of God and without being saved, then they are destined to hell and we are losing children every yer. So, you must know that it’s God’s heart that even at the sacrifice of God’s or entitled to paradise or heaven he wants to save the dying people at the sacrifice of thosek

Every ye r 36 million people are physically dying. If they die without knowing the message of

salvation, they are alwo dying spirutla death. Can you remain with folded hands without having

anything to do with them. So, God’s heart is to beat on the galloping horse even though you dash on

the battlefield, God wants to accelle rate your pace. God is going almost crazy and he longs to have

his bust children back. If you are in the postion of filial sons to him, would you not dash out to the

field in search of the lost children and bring them back to God. There is no question that we are in

that position and that God would want us to do that job. God would love you more than the whole of the

u. S. But you must be loving the people of the U.S. more than the anything else in place of God - that

‘s what God would have you do. We have so far learned all these things, but we must just remember

that in our brains, but we must feel that in our hearts. In utter c eriuslness you must be resolved to

carry out your mission not for yourselves but for the sake o God who loves you and for 3the sake of

the borhters who have not experienced salvation. You must be resolved to sacrifice youself, so in

the w orldya sense you are bacrificing yourself. 22 million 220 million America people are waiting

co be reached. If the destiny of this nation is s omethi ng like the morning, then they have hope, But they

have reached the twilight of their fate, so we must be in a hurry to save them. We must reach of to

them before sunset. You must be anxious to save them before the sunset and if you just let them die

away without minding their fate, you are cruel people, since you know the principle. You must clearly

realize the fact that God needs you and America needs ;your. Are you really with that notion? (Yes!)

You must clearly understand this. We must know that our goal is entirely different from others.

Our path is entirely differnt from others. The people of the world will go on their path of life for their

own sake, but we are working and walking for the sake of the whole world in the place of God. We must

know that we are a different group of people. When we drink a cup of water, when we have a meal, when

we clothe ourselves, look at things, hear things and we must know that we are different people and doing

those things for a different purpose. After all we have found God and we are one with God and we h e

fl pave the way for the people to reach him and build a bridge to cross over the gap and reach God. We are the medator between God as the Father and the people as the lost children to Him. We are the

mediator of love between them.

Nothing is greater than this job. Even in the world if we make the match betwen the couple, they

will always remember you all through their lives. If we have played the role of the bridge between U the love of God and the other people, how much more will they remember us all through their lives

and they will praise you and be proud of you and be grate ful to you all through their lives. ~We

are not only the mediator, but we are the sons of God, so after having broughtthe lcs t children to God,

God will not only but love me all the more. So, in order for us to be loved more by God, we must

first of all deny ourselves and put ourselves in the pos on of God and go out to bring back the lost

dhildren to Him. Then He will love you more ;than he does others. If you as sons first restored bac

to your Father’s bosom, would foreget about the children not yet restored to him and bjust be contented

a nd make merry, then God will have to curese you and hate you being like that. He would hate you more

than he does the wordly people. Do you realize that? If you are saved by God after his long toil and

difficulty and hardhips in tears, blood and sweat, you must be ready to repay it. In that case, God

doesn’t want you to repay him in such a way as to bring back his other children lose and orphaned.

That;s why God would tell us that if we give a cup of water to the thirsty little ones, then you will

have given me the water. We are in the positin to do things n place of God and we are going to tread

on the way of love and in that love of God we must be able to share our love with our lovst brothers

a nd sisters. In that way we are going to carry out our mission by doing things in place of God claling

to his lost childre. In that way we want to be sons trusted by God and God will be proud of us. He

cannot but love us. What things can we do anther than this by doing things which he can be loved and

trusted and proud of us. You say you believe in God, you love God and your are proud of God, but

you don’t know whether God love you a re proud of you and trust you. But if you are in this positin

as I explained, then you are the person God will love most and trust and proud of most. This is a

revoluionary things this is a miracle that we have been brought in to our movement and are taught

all these thins and we know and we keel and we are resolved to carry out this great mssion of God’s ~J lovein place of Him. It is a wonderf1 thing that we are in this position to be loved by God more than

Abraham, Moses and Jesus even. We are in the position where God can be 1lOroud of us, God can

trust us, and love us if we only carry out our missions. How wonderful it must be? If you really

know and understand that you are in that positin, can you complin and say that you are hungry and

, tired. Even the elephants in the circus group when they are trained, they obey their Mater.

You are more than the lamed animals, you are more than the circus people. You are here for the

trai fling to do the fete. You must become more than the tamed elephants even though all others

would run away from hard training, you must be willing to go through this and be happy sere.

Are you like that? (Yes!) Go on and do that and I will watch. Now we must know the value of our

being on that straight line of God’s love, sharing out that love of God to other people, lxxx You will

set the traidition of God’s will and show the world and in this way you can love God and love humanty.

After having brought them back to God, you must show them how to love in this family. From now

one we have to establish the new tradition of godly love. In this fam ly when ue are blessed in holy

matriiw fly, we have to s t the example of how to love each other between spouses and we must set

the example of how to love each other amng brothers and sisters. Afteri having built our family we

must broaden the socpe and set the example of how to love on family, clan, natinla and world-wide

level. And our love will become higha do 1

think of this. God has spent so long a period of time with the consumption of so much energy to look

and find me. How much more willit take to find out our famly bu it in God’s love.

So, in order to keep your family meet the standard of God’s wish, you must be resolved to do greater

work with your wpuse at the tcrivifce of your family for the sake of many other families. God has

spent. so long a period of time 6, 000 years or more to find us out. But in a few years of service in

this family, we are going to blessed in holy marriage and we nre going to build our familiy in the

love of God and we are going toexapnd our family and our love on the national and world-wide level and

expect it easier for us to save the nation and the world sus the scrape is being broadened. Only when you

ready to for that to be done on you? Would you want to be made according to the standard one under

God’s position or would you want to be made in accoreance with your own? Can you say to allow me

to have a little differnece and levave it as it is? Can you say that? So, you just leave everything in

God’s hand, and in that case you are sort of cooking material. Leaven everything in God’s hands even

though he may have to boil you, cut into pieces, cook or fry - you j ust be re-created into the standard

level. Is that in your possession yet. Do we have our own nation? But we have our church, and the

church is the ofoundation of the nation that is coming. If we will hay e established our own nation,

then our nation must be for the sake of the whole world. If, for example, the U. B. has become

God’s nationa and this nation is to be a sacrificial one to work for the sake of n the whole world.

We are beginning t have a clear pict re of how to reach God. Our mission is not only to liberate

men on the physical plane, but on the piritual plane. Even Satan must be liberated by our hands,

are a think, or even if you are a man, whom would you want to belong to? Any man would want to

and and whom God can trust. That’s our way and this is a wonderful way. From our level, when w

look at the people of the world, they are far below xx our standard. But if, after joining this movement

you forget all this and enfry the worldly ways, you will benothing in God’s sight. In the movies, you

love certain actos and actresses but we are more than those peole, we are actually acting out the scene

as God designed. As it now stands, it may be a tragedy, but we must act it out according to God’s plan

so that we are going to be able to establish the world without tears, without tragedy, Now we have
