to concentrate on one thing, so I wanted to have another evening with you. On

your way there are ups and downs so when you go up there are downs again. There

may be some among you here saying to yourselves, “This is a rainy evening, what

on earth does Master call us? I want to relax.” Do you want me to give just a

short talk this evening? (NO) Any attack comes when you are absent minded, not

when you are alert. I’ve always been talking from my part; so this evening, I

want you to ask questions. I will answer about 4 or 5 questions. Female can ask

2 questions and male can ask 2 questions and the side who asked more serious

question can ask another question.

QUESTION (female): What did Master mean when he said God’s will was different

from the will of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane?

That’s a good question.

Jesus came as the son of God, as the agent of God to exercise his authority

on earth but in another sense he was in the position of savior towards all man-

kind. There can be only one way to go for God but there are 2 ways for him to

go as a man. He came as the savior of the chosen nation of the Israelites so if

the children of the Israelites had believed in him he could have succeeded, but

~ if they had not believed in him he could haye failed. Since he came for mankind

he was in a sense on the side of man. If ~an was not in obedience to God, in that

case, he still could not disregard men. In order not to abandon the people he n

had to stand on men’s side. Thus, he was sort of on the point of a cross --

junction. So He had to offer that kind of prayer. His mission as savior to man-

kind could never change so even when the chosen people of the Israelites were

disobedient to God, he had to stand on their side. He was praying for the

people and on the other hand wanted to sympathize with the heart of God. So

those two thoughts were contradicting in his heart. There were vast differences

between God’s thought and what people thought at that time. Though people were

disobedient to God, he couldn’t give up on them, so he chose to sacrifice himself

to save the people. He wanted to save the people while still on earth so he

wanted to have his life prolonged if possible but when he saw things from God’s

point he saw that he had to sacrifice himself. When he was on the side of the

people, his attitude could not come in accordance with that of God.

QUESTION (male): Why are the years 1972, 1973, and 1974 such an important time

for the dispensation?

Those are most important years because they are the last 3 years of the

second seven year course. The number seven is always important and the second

seven year course is most crucial. Out of the three years, 1973 is most crucial.

Those three years are sort of a preparatory period for the next or third seven

year course; they correspond to Moses’ three day preparation or the three years’

preparation by Jesus. By going through those three years we indemnify, pay the

toll of indemnity, for the next seven year course. As you well know, last year

when I visited here (1972) I made my first public appearance giving speeches in

seven cities in the U.S. and in two more capital cities in Europe/ and that sig-

nified something important that took place in 1972. This year I am planning

another great thing. Next year will be equally important. This year I brought

many European members which is very significant. The United States is the lead-

ing nation in the democratic world and a Christian nation, too. In this nation

I have to restore the people on the basis of indemnity paid by Korean members;

it is very important. Everything in the world takes place in the form of a

battle between Cain and Abel, former conquering the latter. So reversely, I have

to have one nation subjugate the other nations in Cain’s.position. I am going

to use your nation for this purpose, so that we can win people in Cain’s position

by paying the toll of indemnity we have to pay as Abel. You don’t know the sig-

nificance behind my having given the speeches in the seven cities in this country

and in my choosing three nations at that time. Any objections in the audience

could have nullified my purpose but there have been no objections on the part of

the audience which signified there were no objections from the people in Cain’s

position. That’s why I said strong things against this nation and the world.

My speech at that time was dynamic and explosive and I felt that I would pierce n

their hearts with the sword of words. At that time what I was doing here was to

have people who were in Able’s position to conquer those in Cain’s position. It

is no accident that while I was here last year Nixon visited Red China and a

cease fire was discussed. If I’m to go into details this is an endless story,

but behind everything taking place there is God’s will working. If we have a

national foundation, from that time on Communist power is doomed to decline. The

Unification between South and North Korea is only possible when the Democratic

world can really conquer the Communistic world. What is happening in Korea is

the contracted form of what is expected in the whole world.

I find that the United States is the only nation to be made into the base

from which to attack the Communist power. So I am working with this nation. And

it will be done in these three years. — the basis will be made in these 3 years

and it will take some years more, possibly till 1978. According to my calcu-

tion, it will take seven years from 1972 (1978). The year 1977 and 1978 are

most crucial. If the United States cannot accomplish the mission during those

two years, then there is no way for America to survive the threat of Communism.

We are in preparation for stopping the Communistic conquest by setting up the

True view of value under Christianity to counter-attack. The revival of

Christianity comes from a new view of life derived from the ideal. The

world will need us in doing this. These three years are .the period of time where

we pay the toll of indemnity for the next seven -year course. This year I am

planning to mobilize all our efforts to absorb or subjugate all Communistic

ideology and during the next 2 years I have to make it a success. Do you know

why I have brought European members? You must be more powerful than the

European members. You cannot afford to be defeated by them. These three years

correspond to the three years of public career by Jesus but his was in a sense

a failure on the physical level. We must be successful. Ours must be done on

n the world wide level. The Communists are now talking about a peaceful solution

to the world tension but that is because they are confident to win the game that

way. They don’t know the power of our movement as yet and we are on the side of

God, the democratic world. They didn’t know the existence of our group fighting

against Communism and will be astounded when we openly attack them in the near

future. Before long (by March), from each European nation, where we have our

members we will bring three very strong members and they will work here. We

will have to train the State Representatives and the pioneer workers to be

stronger than they. We are going beyond the level of the nation so we will

enter the world wide level of activities and these three years are most impor-

tant for that„ too. . . . You were dozing off. Did you understand what I said?

The very man who raised the question was dozing off. Do you understand? How can

you understand me when you doze off? Did other people understand me? (YES)

Can anyone summarize her question?

How can we answer students who raise objection to American involvement with

corrupt governments like those in Vietnam and Free China?

They may think that the Communist nations are stronger or more capable and

that is because they are confident in what they are doing. Communists can force

the people to do what they would have them do. The top level people would have

them do things at all costs. In the Democratic World the contrary is true. We

who are in God’s will have the strength to win over Communism. If we know that

we are convinced for that we can win over Communism. You can let people know

how to equip themselves with strong spiritual armament which is needed in these

( days. It is last year, wasn’t it, that Free China was driven out of the UN.

Just before that, I had sent, in May, Mr. Kuboki (President of Japanese Movement)

to China to meet Chang Khai Shek. Right there in the meeting, he was instructed

to say, which I cannot reveal, if Chang Khai Shekwouldn’t carryout those three

points his country would be defeated by the Communists. He was hurt by those

utterances but it was true and if he could carry those out the UN would not have

driven Free China out of the organization. At the time, when Mr. Kuboki and

Chang Khai Shek were meeting, the guards had to almost drag Mr. Kuboki out of

the room because the atmosphere was tense. He was saying strong things to Chang

Khai Shek. But Chang Khai Shek knew he was right in saying those things so he

scolded his men and kept talking with Mr. Kuboki. After all when Chang Khai Shek

couldn’t carry out all those things he found the prediction made by Mr. Kuboki

proved true. After Free China was driven out of the UN, Master sent Mr. Kuboki

a second time and made another three-point proposal. Now Free China is sort of

relying on IFVC and they think highly of the Japanese group. Not only in Free

China but in Japan, tot, I am also manipulating the policy makers through our

members by having them influence these people. You don’t know how much influence

I have been making on those people in Japan. Mr. Kuboki was here on the 28th

of December and left for Japan the first part of January this year. During this

interval, I gave him many instructions. Your nation is such a powerful nation,

a vast nation and the leading nation of the democratic world but you cannot do

anything against Communism and you cannot win over that ideology if you go on

like this. Some of you may say, “Who on earth is Master that he is talking

about defeating Communism when our own vast nation cannot do that? I have plans

and I do things consulting our Heavenly Father and you can believe in my

tactics. We must either be cannons or cannonballs. Are you in the position of

a cannon? No: So I will play the role of cannon and you are the cannonballs

and I will shoot you out in the right direction and you will explode on time in

the right place. A little longer and the Asiatic countries will recognize Mr.

Moon and the European countries will do the same. I’m contemplating having top

level professors from Stanford and Berkeley trained under our ideology. We are

sort of opening up the channel to reach the top level people who are influential.

I’m going to use you for that purpose soon, so everyone of you must be prepared

to bring one eminent university professor for that purpose. Do you have confidence?

I think that there are about 150 members here so I am expecting 150 professors.

We are going to publish a small booklet concerning what is taking place in Korea

around the university professors when they participated in seminars on the Unifi-

cation Thought. We have just been reading and correcting the manuscript for the

pamphlet. Our print shop in San Francisco will get them printed and you will

distribute those booklets to the university professors. Once they read this booklet,

however famous or well educated the professor may be, they will be moved and

stimulated by what the booklet has to say. You must realize there is a vast

content of philosophy in our Divine Principle. Our ideology can be applied to

life — politics, economics, science, etc. Our ideology is of such a high level

that men of intelligence alone can understand. Problems arising in Free China,

Vietnam, Korea, and Japan can be solved if the policy makers would listen to me.

Since they wouldn’t I will make our power stronger so that we can move them by

showing them our deeds. With the fruitfulness we will show them how strong and

capable we are. The United States will see that I am doing what the politicians,

economists, scientists and others cannot do. By the deeds I have done they will

rely on me for what they should do. Now that I have laid a solid foundation they

are supposed to listen to me, even though they are proud Americans. Strive on

all your efforts until 1978 and you will see what I have said is proving true.

I will make it a success. You must be different from Communists, you must even

be different from ordinary university students and ordinary Americans. You must

be different from the hippie people with long hair. I don’t like the idea of

your being clad in an untidy way.

I have a big head like this, a thinker’s skull and I have agile, skillful

hands and I am good at everything. I have been thinking this way and that, and

have been in meditation over many things of life; then I finally chose this way,

because this alone is most valuable. If you are obedient to me in what I am

going to command you I can save your nation through you; Otherwise, you cannot

save your nation. Will you obey me? (YES) Are you going to set yourself in

motion? If the policy makers would listen to me their problems would be solved.

I have been talking to our members in Korea and Japan, I have talked to them a

lot, and what I have said came true without exception. That’s what makes them

believe in me, trust me. But you American members are not quite so confident and

you don’t quite trust me that much, I am afraid. When I planned to give speeches

last year, some of the American members were opposed to me, so I had to go to

New York and make a contract with the Lincoln Center myself. Some of you may

have to fall away, but it’s something like fish swimming inthe ocean trying to

escape from one place to another, but still living in the ocean; likewise you

have no other place to go. Even though you may go away, you will have to come

back, and then will be put to shame. If T knew I had some other place to go I

might have escaped from this difficult job, myself, but there is no other place.

You don’t really realize what it is to be a leader, especially a leader to such

a group in which I have to teach to overcome Satan, and conquer Communism, the

enemy of the whole world. If I am not confident in doing this I cannot dream of

leading you people to that goal. At first I felt as though I could pick up the

whole of Christianity with chopsticks like this, but it was too heavy and I had

to let it go. This time, the second time, I had to prepare some big pliers to

get hold of that. Now, I am confident to do that.

If the whole Christian world and our movement came into collision, which do

you think will win over the other? ([Answer) OURS) Out of our family, even high

fl school graduates would visit the established church ministers and raise questions

to them and have them fail to answer them. In Japan our group, the IFVC group,

proposed to have a public debate with Communist young leaders; and we put up

posters and advertisements in the papers, but they shrank back and could not come

out. So among the Communistic group, there was a quarrel arising because the young

people under the Communist leader protested against their leader’s not being to

go out to debate against the IFVC young people. By their doing that the rumors

spread and people in general came to be in our favor. Now we are coming out

with Unification Thought as a great philosophy and it will arouse a problem in

the world. With this, we are going to turn upside down the materialistic ideology

of Marxism. What I’ve said so far has some connection with what you asked me,

I hope. I have plans in mind when I visited your country this time, you don’t

have to ask me what I have in mind, but if you only obey me we can have wholesome

crops out of my strategy. Do you trust me? ([Answer) YES) Flow much? [Mumbling)

Over whole world? (YES) I believe you. One more question, please:

QUESTION (male): I want to understand indemnity for my students. I understand

that indemnity is paid by reversing the process of the fall, or going opposite

the way Adam and Eve went, in this way we become pure. But what about people

who suffer and are ignorant of what they are doing, without understanding in-

The path of restoration is one we tread on, one pace by pace. The path of

restoration is something you must seek after or try to find out. You don’t know

what is ahead of you, but Master knows. I will walk in the vanguard for you

people and look back and teach you how to lead the way. When you set up the con-

dition of indemnity after having trodden the course you have, you will find

there was already some treaty made between God and Satan. Without your being con-

scious of that, you have to go through a certain course to pay indemnity. If

you know how much indemnity you have to go through, it will make it difficult for

you to accomplish that much, because you have got to carry out as much as you

know. God wouldn’t let you know what you are going to go through so in that case

the toll of indemnity will be much easier. For Master, the condition of indemnity

is not easy because in paying he must excell Adam and excell everyone in the

whole world on the level of heart or loyalty to God. [President Kim speaks and

then bontinues the translation.] In part II you learned there are 2 kindscof

indemnity conditions, first equal compensation, but the second was lesser, or

easier. In Master’s case he can’t pay the second way, he has to pay one to one.

He plays the role of fallen Adam so he pays for everything in Adam’s course. In

Master’s case he must go over Adam in heart. So in one sense he is the only one

who really pays indemnity. Since he knows everything he is always serious about

world problems, national problems, and everything. Master paved the way for us

because he fought and won. After his victory, he tells us to follow him, eo our

way is much easier, because he already paid the way. So the way of Principle is

to follow exactly the course. We learned from Part II, the one who is to make

the indemnity condition is the man who failed to pay man’s portion of responsibil-

ity, or Adam. So the man who comes to restore this, True Parents, must make this

indemnity. Because of this, we need true Parents, without them we cannot go.

Also, we cannot get any merit from our parents when we don’t have a relationship

with them. This means we must have a parents and children relationship. When

we have this we can inherit what they have achieved for us. The fall of man was

caused by having a spiritual relationship with Satan. To restore this we must

have spiritual relationship with True Parents. When you come to have a true

heart of children, you will see Master in your dreams and visions. Those who see

him in their dreams and prayer, raise your hands. Everyone should have such ex-

perience. In Korea and Japan more than 900 of our members have such experience.

Whenever our members face difficult problems if they pray hard for 3 days they

y-~ will be taught from heaven. Because we have such expe±fence, no one can take us r away from this work. Sometimes when our members have to work very hard, some

students, who have exams the next day, were taught the problems for that examina-

tion in dreams. Also, we had several old ladies who had no education, but

were taught the alphabet from spirit world, and then could write. When you go

out on a dark night, spirits lead you this way and that, not in the spirit world,

but on earth. Only those who are taught from the spirit world can become Master’s

followers. Many followers are taught directly from the wpirit world who are from

Buddhism, Confucianism, and various religious backgrounds. The Unification of

Christianity or all religions cannot be done by man’s power. Also, those people

in korea who had direct spiritual communication with heaven or Cod, know what

Master is doing this moment. If you aren’t trusting him or have doubt, they can

see it. Master came to lead those people, not ignorant people. So because you

don’t believe in him he must teach you Divine Principle to make you believe in him.

Master himself does not speak of spiritual phenomena.too much, because if he does

many of you may run away. There are incredible stories, and it is hard for you

to believe in them. Also, spiritual phenomenon doesn’t last long. John the

Baptist received revelation from spirit world that Jesus was the Messiah, but

soon forgot it. But truth is eternal, and we will concentrate on teaching

truth. So in the future you cannot hide from anyone even small things. Every-

thing will be revealed. Even in the initial stage of ou Church, Master did that

kind of thing. Before he opened the door he knew what kind of man came and he

sometimes chased him out. Also, I (President Kim) had that experience. If some-

one isn’t fit for church (at lecture) he (Master) feels pain and has to leave.

That is just like formation stage and is like handling servants, but in handling

children you cannot do that. So such a spiritual communication is prevailing in

Europe, Asia, and America so we can infiltrate even into Communistic countries.

Master was a student of science. When he does something, he first experi-

fl ments, when he succeeds, he teaches us to do it. When he says something becomes

true it is 100% not 940, etc. So when you can’t believe in what Master says you

wait and see. So do you want to wait and see, or do you want to act? ([Answer]

ACT) So if you follow what Master says to us, we can go over our indemnity con-

dition and also there are 8 stages: individual, family, tribal, people, national,

world and cosmic. (Six) So if you know everything you cannot stop. If you know

you are to make these conditions representing the whole world, people cannot do

that. But by following Master without knowing these things we can go over. Even

now we are passing many stages but you say you cannot progress. Some people say

it is the same as yesterday or maybe several years ago, and don’t see the progress,

the change. But anyway we are going into the age of greater merit. Because of

this we need Master. So whenever we go up there is always an indemnity condition.

So because of this Master wants to put us into difficulties. If we work hard for

the nation, then we can go over all the indemnity conditions of individual,

family, and tribal. Even the individual indemnity condition we cannot go over,

even it we try hard, for 6000 years. Master is an Oriental man, but in following

Master, he becomes closer than one’s own parents, brothers and sisters, husband

and wife. So do you experience such a feeling? The closer you feel to Master,

is the Barometer of your faith. Sometimes if you cannot feel, you cannot come

to him, sometimes you cannot do anything. So in your dreams or while you pray

or through your feelings, you can be taught by Master. Even if we do not know,

and are not conscious of it, we are going through the indemnity course. Even

if we lose our life, we must be grateful to God. If someone says I cannot go this

path because it is too difficult, he can’t be in the world of God’s heart. Do

you know what I mean? (YES) One more question.

QUESTION: How do evil spirits work through punishment?

That is possible only in a transitional period. To give an example, we have

many prisoners sentenced to death in prison. But in a national emergency, if

those prisoners work for the nation, they are given a special release. That is

only in an emergency case. When cosmic transition takes place even evil spirits

can have merit. So when God gives punishment to man he does it through sending

angels, but if punishment is very severe, he cannot use angles. In that case he

uses evil spirits. So they are used by Cod, for punishment. But those chances

are not many, it’s very rare for evil spirits to get resurrection. It is very

difficult and takes a long time, so before you lose your physical body you must

have full resurrection. The period when we live on earth is the most important

time. If we cleanse our sin while on earth we can pass maybe a million years in

the spirit world. There is no such transaction because we do not know this fact

and many people don’t know they are dying. They believe they have many years

ahead of them. Even old people if they look back at their past life, find it’s

like several days. They don’t feel it’s long. So our life on earth maybe 70 or

80 years determines our eternal life in spirit world so this period of time is fl equivalent to eternity. This time is always so precious. Master knows this fact

so he is working so hard not to lose any time. Also, man is a spiritual being

who pursues the way of benefit. If man knew he would lose something through

this way, he wouldn’t go. Do you understand? It’s 10:00, so do you want to have

more questions? (YES) Or do you want Master to talk without receiving questions.

(TALK) So Master is going to speak one thing which you need. Men cannot live

by themselves alone. Man needs woman and woman needs man. If we separate man

and woman they become half. We have to understand ourselves so you must know

that you are just a half being. To become a perfect man, man and woman must be

united into one. Then when man and woman unite who will be the standard or core

of center to unite? In the western way of thinking man and woman are equal, they

say man cannot be the standard or center. Women, do you want to be the center

of unity? (NO) That is because you know the Divine Principle. How about before

you knew Divine Principle, what was your opinion, your view? So to become one

there are three ways, this man can come here, or the other can come to him, or

both come to one at the center. Which is ideal one? (Master laughs)

One is higher and one is lower. To have perfect oneness this one must come like

this. One must go over the other one, and there must be a gap between them. [Many

hand gestures.] From this the four position foundation comes. It means there

must be a highest place, that is God’s position. It comes like this, therefore

there are two. From God, man and woman are divided, then they come together into

one. This is the children’s position. The Center of unity is God. There must

be God, without God man and woman cannot be united into one. Without God we

cannot stay at the center. So divided man and woman become one in their children.

For God to be pleased, he must have same object. This is God and he must have

an opposite object and also the lower position must be the same. The children’s

position is the point where God’s, man’s and woman’s desire meet together. God

is subject, and the children are object. If it revolves slowly, it is easy to n

fall down. If there is a strong spin, it never stays still. Those who love

each other, want to have a strong revolution. If it spins faster, it reaches a

higher ideal. This means to have faster revolution men must have love, without

love there cannot be any ideal. When he comes to have strong love, the force can

move even the universe, or cosmos. If we lose love, then man cannot stand up,

everything collapses. Do you understand this? We have always to remember the

four position foundation. Our nose also resembles the four position foundation.

Our eye shape represents the four position foundation. Also, we have two hands

that share the same four position foundation.

When we see through our eyes, there is one object, the two eyes and the nervous

system makes the image inside body. Also in hearing sounds come divided into two,

and go into both ears. When we hold something with our hands like this, it is

like the four position foundation. When you walk like this, one arm comes like

this and one leg like this, for the four position foundation. Everywhere in human

behavior always we form the four position foundation. If we put the four position

foundation into one, subject and object, and let them meet in one place it be-

comes three stages, God, subject and object, and children, three stages. Our

bodies are also made in three stages: 1, 2, 3 joints in the arm. If you look

at your eyes, there is a white section, a black section and a colored part.

When you speak your tongue and teeth and lips must work together. Our body is

made in that manner. Also our face has three stages: eyes, nose and mouth.

The eyes represent God, so when a body is created, his beginning is his eyes.

Above the neck is heaven and the legs and arms are creation. When people used

to kill men they hanged them. It is because they lost the relationship with

heaven, and this was symbolized by choking the neck with a rope. When we see our

face, the eyes represent God, the nose man and the mouth creation or all things.

Also we have 32 teeth, 32 is 4 x 8 and is the number of earth. Everything is

made according to Principle. By looking at man’s face we can see him, know n

his nature, his future, everything. Also among man’s members, which is the

foregoing part? It is the nose. Man is ahead of all creation, Lord of all

creation. When a baby is in the womb, its hand is like this. These four fingers

represent the four seasons, plus 3 joints x 4 = 12 months. When we say #l, we

mean the thunb. God also has dual essentialities. After man is born we hold

the hand like this. After man is born he must control whole universe guided by

God. Also God, man and all creation must communicate with each other. We see

by this, if you hold your nose, it affects everywhere. If those links are broken,

man becomes sick. If you catch cold (through the nose), you become sick. This

means man cannot communicate with the universe.

When you have formed the four position foundation the force of cosmos protects

man, but when balance is lost, the force (of the cosmos) tries to destroy man.

When you become one with your parents and brothers and sisters you have nothing

to fear. This means if four men are united into one, you don’t have to fear any-

thing. If there are three men you can defent yourselves from three directions,

but one is missing. So four men united into one can defend four directions. The

ideal of four position foundation is to perform give and take action. As it is

performed, it turns around. So when a husband comes back from the Vietnam war,

and the wife meets her husband, they hug and turn around. Why is that? That is

to establish, and fulfill the ideal of four position foundation. If you cannot do

that, you are a failure. The force of the cosmos does not allow you to stay.

When you get sick, why do you feel pain? Illness means cut off of give and take

action. When path of give and take action is broken, the force of the universe

will push you out as failure. When you are healthy, the force of the universe

backs you up, so you feel strong and can work hard. By this we can understand

f the wonderfulness of the four position foundation. When you wrap something, do

you use just a round cloth or a square cloth? Square. With a triangular cloth

you cannot wrap. n

When we speak to other people there must be a form of four position founda-

tion, my words and ears, your words and ears. This principle of four position

foundation applies to anything. When we say man is standing in the middle he

must have two people on his sides. If there is one man h cannot say he is in

the middle. To be in the center there must be three beings. Isn’t it true?

([Answer] YES) So when we want to set a central figure, we must have three

stages, plus the four position foundation. Everything, all philosophies, are

contained in the four position foundation. Also you know in four position founda-

tion, four beings, God is subject, and object, subject and object are God and

children, Father and children,mother and children, and everyone can perform give

and take action with all others. This is the foundation for the ideal perform-

ance or action. All human structure, spine, everything, has such three stages

and four position foundation. Also even our cells are made that way. Look at

the ceiling. It is a four position foundation, a square. Idea comes from four

psoition foundation. When you say you are #1, it means you are the center of

universe. Is it true or not? When you say you are #1 that means you have some-

one above you, below you, in front of you, behind you, and on both sides. So in

that way you have six beings to relate to, and you complete the number 7. Divine

Principle teaches us 7 is the number of completion or perfection. God completed

universe’s creation on the 7th day. When you stand in the center, horizontally

you have three beings, vertically three beings, you are center of number three.

Number three and number four makes number seven and twelve comes from this. We

can reason from the four position foundation to twelve. If man is to claim him-

self he must have two beings in his side, two front and rear, and two above and

The sides represent your relatives, nation, brothers and sisters. “I” am the

man representing all these things. That is “I.” You have to insist that you

have such an environment and circumstance. Have you ever thought of such a thing?

You cannot put out yourself when you do not have such things. Everything must

be in a straight line, parents, I and children, brothers and sisters, centering

on myself, everything must be at right angles. Many people just want to have

freedom and liberty but do they have such a relationship..with people? What is

the purpose of a center? It exists for the side beings. Also for the ones in

front and rear and above and below. You cannot pursue after your own luxury or

pleasure. If a man tries to take advantage of parents, children, brothers, sisters,

and relatives, he is destined to go to Hell. There is no other place to go.

So you: need your parents. How much do you need your parents? 10 years? We need

them for eternity. When you make a straight line, who is the center to make the

straight line? That is not you, but your parents. You must think of your child-

ren to make a straight line, and teach and educate your children to stand on a

straight line. Also, parents came representing God. This means children must

obey their parents. American people have a tendency to disregard their parents

and their own children, and live for their own pleasure. That is against heavenly

laws. Those people are destined to be destroyed. This is not a made up story

of Master. This is truth. Also I learned from American people that young men

and women, when they get married, do not want to live with their parents and

serve them. Are you going to do the same thing as other American young people?

So parents must learn from grandparents and children from parents so they must make

a straight line and one tradition. So the parents are subject and the children

are objects and the husband is subject and the wife, object. So when the woman

is like earth, the husband is like heaven. So this means heaven must cover earth

and heaven must protect earth. The husband must protect the wife. American women

do not want their husbands to dominate. This is against the Principle. Will the

man or woman win? Man is superior in many ways and the superior man must protect

the inferior woman. Even in that case, can you insist the woman is subject?

What Master says so, it is wrong or right? (RIGHT) Now you have 200,000,000

and 1/2 the population are women. Even so they have to answer yes. It is not

Master’s talk, it is truth, If one is above then the other must be below. You

cannot exchange bodies. An arm is an arm, a body is a body.

Those who do not respect old people, are doomed to destruction. A man

must also take care of young children. An old man is like the root of tree. Child-

ren are like leaves. If the trunk denies the root, and says I do not need the

root, then the tree would die. If the trunk denies the leaves how can he receive

nourishment? Is it true? (YES) Man must live for parents and children. Work

as a mediator between parents and children. By doing this man can become centered.

If in the American family when parents want to visit, must they call by telephone

and ask permission? Is that a good custom? Parents must be free to visit their

children’s home anytime whenever they feel. Children must be free to visit their

parents home. When a husband meets his wife does he ask her if it is alright to

come to her before hand when they live together? Does he ask permission to come

to her anytime? Anytime the husband or wife want to go to each other, they must

be free. This means everything must become one. That is ideal. When do you feel

sorrow? Sorrow comes when you cut off everything and when you cut off your way

of Give and Take Action. Joy and happiness comes whenever you are free to give

when you want to give and receive when you want to receive. Don’t you want that

the spirit world everywhere. They are free to go through any of the 12 gates.

Such a family will be welcomed by the whole world. Now we know how important is

the four position foundation. Who becomes subject? The one who gives first. The

one who gives more than the other becomes the eternal subject. Religion wants to

establish an eternal subjective ideology. Because of this it teaches man to love

others. So who is blessed more, the one who gives or receives. Why is that?

Because he becomes subject. (Do you understand, clearly?)

The reason why Master became subject over you is that he practices that kind

of life. He never wants to become a debtor. He does not owe you, but you owe him.

Now you understand the importance of the four position foundation. Tonight I want

you to remember the four position foundation. Yesterday Master told the blessed

couples to learn the Korean language. You cannot learn it in one day. So learn

Sa (four) Wee (position) Ki de (foundation).

Do you want me to continue? It is not polite to speak for more than 40 min-

utes in America. Some of you want to fall out. Think that you cannot even study

Master and understand him unless you study 50 years. Even if you study 50 years

you cannot understand him. So try to understand him. I ask you to fight. Are

you going to do what Master tells you? (YES) The last time when he came he had

no time to talk about church organization. Now is the time. Originally Master

wanted to do this tonight but he used up his time. If you have 70 members that

means you have to organize 7 teams. Also, appoint team captain. 10 members make

one team. Under one team captian 9 people form 3 trinity units. This is the

Principle organization. 3 units of 3 members must become one. Those three units

must form the four position foundation. By witnessing to new people the three

people must multiply to 12 members. By doing so, you can have a four position

foundation. Three trinities are like one man. All churches must be operated not

only for your church or center but for America. When you have 3 converts you

must send one member to a mobile team. All members, sooner or later, must go

through 6 months training on a mobile team. Without this we cannot save America. n

The method is like knitting. When you knit you form a square like a four position

foundation. By this we can save America and ourselves. Think this way, from 12

to 20 to 1,200 — like this we have to increase. When you make this, you make

your foundation in spirit. Now you understand the need of witnessing? If you

really work hard heaven will cooperate with you. When we have a river and there

is a source, water is coming down from heaven. If water flows faster we can have

more water. The more you contribute, the more will come.

You have to work in three directions. When you work for your country you

have to work for your state and your nation (that’s three positions). It is a

good positive condition to go over three states when you go out witnessing. When

you witness in your native town don’t witness to your neighbor, go to a farther

place, maybe to the farthest section of town. Old must witness to young. Young

n to old. Intellectual to ignorant. Wealthy to poor. If extremes unite everything

will become contained in that. We must put two extremes together. Even Jesus after

he died went to hell to witness before he went to Paradise. Without going through

two extremes there cannot be eternity. One man must bring one man per month. If

you continue for 10 years you can make 120 people. If you work for 40 years, you

can make 480 people. If you do witness for 480 people for 40 years you can witness

to the whole population of the whole world. We have to restore all mankind within

40 years. To do this we have to mobilize all the mass media, etc. So now from

1960 to 2000 is the time we have to restore the world. 40 years after his blessing.

When we have such a great goal ahead of us we cannot say it is too big to witness

to one person per month. In one year we have 1,080 meals and we witness to 12

people. We have to make up our minds to be successful.

When you walk to someplace or do something always pray for a man to come.

n How many months did you ever pray for one man? This is a problem. How much do

you love man? We have to criticize ourselves as to how much we love others be-

cause we want to get loved by them. Actually, often we do not want to love

others. We really have to pray and sometimes fast for one soul to save. If we

really do that, then sometimes a stranger passing by will come into your house or

if you meet someone in the street you might say that you saw that man in your dream.

If you really put in many hours of prayer even in the daytime, Master will appear

to you and teach you. Sometimes he will eat with you or .sometimes if you go some-

place he will go with you and teach you. Even in our life on earth we have to

have such a life. So we have to experience God with us, controlling our life.

Do you want to have that kind experience? (YES) If you become absorbed in loving

people sometimes in the evening when you see someone passing and you will feel that

he has come to you or is the one you are looking for, if you have that feeling,

then the spirit of God will help you. If you love God first many people can come.

If you have such a heart, everything you see in the creation will look so wonder-

ful. If we can have such a feeling concerning our enemy, then the heavenly king-

dom will come. The Kingdom of Heaven cannot be established when we do not feel

strong love like you would for your parents. The reason why we must witness to

many people is to experience many loves. By having such an experience you can

increase or make prosperous your warehouse of love. By doing so you can cultivate

your own feeling of love. By having so much experience with many types of people,

when you go to the spirit world you can have same broadness. We have to love men

of the north, south, east, west or all directions, and also, white, people, yellow

people, black people and all people. Then we can go to the highest heaven. From

that place the kingdom of heaven can be started. If you do not fight, the kingdom

of heaven cannot be started. When you go to the spirit world without speaking

they will know you because of the vibration or frequency is different. With more

love, the frequency is different. So without a word they will just love you.

Where the man of highest love goes every man will wait for him. When they make

concessions, they do not feel bad. It is more pleasant to wait for him.

When you want to go to the spirit world you will want to live in the neighbor-

hood of Master. If you see this neighborhood you would just fall down it is such

a splendid place. If you look at it for 1000 years you will not get tired, To

become such a man and to be able to live in such a place you must be able to go

through all kinds of obstacles. Master has visited 40 nations and visited all the

palaces but we can’t compare this with the spirit world. So would it be better

for Master to go to the spirit world quickly? Maybe you say no but Master does

not want to live on this earth too long. If he can find a way to die for God he

gladly would, but God needs him badly. If God loses him, he is in trouble.

There are many people on this earth but there is no such man like Master.

Do you think there will be another man like Master (NO). Only one man. From

one man a new ideology new way of living will come out. If you work hard you can

become a member of the heavenly palace. When he drives you out to difficulties

it is to make you closer to him. Don’t you want that? (YES)

Each center, Berkeley, San Francisco, and Oakland, each center must form 10

member teams. You know we have 10 member mobile teams and just like that centers

must form 10 member teams. 10 people must become one under a team captain. 10

members are equivalent to 12 men. Jesus had 12 disciples but he couldn’t make

them one. This is one reason why he went to the cross. Those members who want

to try this raise your hands.

Put down you name and your center on this paper and put down the number of

people you are going to witness to in one year (the number of people you are going

to bring in in one year). Those centers with less than 20 members, don’t have

to send members to a mobile team. 20 members is the least requirement for a center.

When you have 23 members you send one member. Do you understand what I mean?

When you get three members, you send one member. Get 120 members. 120 members

is the final goal. i~

In California there are many centers so Master is going to appoint one

’ director of the state. He wants to establish a state headquarters. When we

come to have many centers the national headquarters cannot handle so many. The

National headquarters will work through state headquarters. In that case all

center directors in the state will meet every month. In that conference they

will discuss how to develop California. We understand tt~is is the most important

and powerful state in America so we have to put our efforts in this state. So

from now on Master is going to put more energy into this state. Also, he wants

to visit California as much as possible (YEAH). What is the population of Los

Angeles? 2 million? The great city of Los Angeles with its population of 2

million has few members. Master is going to send one team of 10 members to Los

Angeles. So all center directors in the Bay Area should come to Washington St.

House tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. If one center has 7 teams we will divide that

city into seven sections. When somebody walks to that area he will see some of

you working. Sometimes you have to go but on the street to witness, and sometimes

in the park. In your center you have to pray very hard. Oakland Center will not

buy another house. They can use Berkeley center when they need more space. Each

center director will collect these papers and make one list and put it on a wall.

You can have the total number of one team and then all team members wilt pray to-

gether and work together for the goal. Without having many members we cannot save

America. European members came to America and they are working very hard. Do we

want to be behind them? Also the Japanese members came and they are working very

hard. They work seven days a week, from 6 a.m. in the morning to late at night.

This is for your own country so you have to work harder. So when you have one

tree all the branches and leaves must be same. Then you have to work hard from

now on. Don’t you think so? Do you have any other question? It is almost twelve.

President Kim: Loving Father, we thank you for your speech tonight. You came to

earth to give us life, to teach us how to live in love, the love of God. By doing

so we can establish your Kingdom of Heaven. We have such a mission to fulfill

your will and desire. We are determined to fulfill our mission which could not

be fulfilled by our ancestors. We are going to organize new witnessing teams

with 10 members each. Please, through this team let us learn how to love our

brothers and sisters and become your children on this earth. We pray this through
