On December 16, 1971 ,

True Parents founded Ilhwa Co. Ltd. in order to develop the fmancial situation in Korea.

the Korean treasure.

At that time, Gingseng was used as Chinese

medicine, but Ilhwa started to use it as the healthy

food. Because of this, Gingseng was sold 10

million dollars.

On August in 1973, Ilhwa has the new factory

and succeed to export Gingseng to overseas.

Because of these achievements, Ilhwa got the p1·esidential prize.

On May in 1979, Ilhwa took ove1· phatmaceuticals and developed a

pick-me-up ‘Sam Jeong Ton (Korean name)’ and

Gingseng sparkling drink ‘Gingsend-up’. These

p1·oducts we1·e most popula1· among the Gingseng

In 1991, Ilhwa exported Gingseng about 35

million dollars which is two thirds of Gingseng

export in Korea. This results made the result for

the growth of Korean national industry.

Ginseng is a special product of Korea. Of all the things in the creation around us, ginseng is the most precious. Ginseng can be called the prince of the plant kingdom. It goes without saying that the place ginseng holds is parallel to that of Unification Thought. Ginseng is this nation’s special product and pride. Yet, are vve doing justice to ginseng? I believe the ans,ver is no. If heaven gave us ginseng, it surely was not solely for the benefit of the Korean people. God ,vants ginseng to benefit the people of the ,vorld.
