Adam and Eve should have known how much heart and effort God poured out in order to create them. Upon their existence, there is God’s Hope for them. God’s Hope, His purpose of creation must have been fulfilled by Adam and Eve. With a singular focus, who must liberate God Himself centered on His Purpose? Adam and Eve were placed in such a position. However, they forgot that they did not exist for themselves, represented horizontally the world and stood at the center of all people, horizontally. They forgot being placed such a horizontal position, namely, being central figures who represent the entire created world. And, they forgot they would multiply tens and hundreds of millions of descendants. Thus, even though Adam and Eve felt they were alone, they should have known and then fulfilled God’s ideal, to embody the ideal as well as representing the entire creation. For the future descendants who would be numerous, they stood as the first ancestors.

However, Adam and Eve forgot all of what they represented and thought they were left all alone. As a result, they left their positions and committed the fall. If Adam and Eve had recognized the implication of their actions and how important a position they were placed in, they could not have committed such fallen acts. When they move a step, they must consider one step at a time, carefully. They must be even more seriously considering about their action as if God himself was paying attention. Although Adam and Eve were placed in such a solemn position, without considering any serious implications, they only thought about their own interest as if they were all alone. Thus, began their fallen acts.

Now, as we study Divine Principle and understand that we ourselves should fulfill the purpose of restoration, it is without saying that we must represent the positions of Adam and Eve. From this standpoint, not only the desire of God but also the desires of fallen ancestors who had gone to the spirit world depend on us. There remain numerous ancestors in the spirit world who hope that substantial beings of God’s purpose appear on earth and work on their future liberation. Thinking this fact, our position is much more important than that of Adam and Eve. Not only that more than 3.6 billion human beings are relating with us in the same way horizontally. Thus, you are placed in the position where you must become new ancestors of the new world, become citizens of the Kingdom of God on earth — a new nation, and multiply and expand the nation throughout. You must regard yourself with respect and honor, you yourself are more precious than any other valuable things; then you must maintain such an attitude. You must be convicted to keep this attitude no matter what sacrifice you have to make. You now know clearly that you stand in such an important position after studying the Divine Principle. You should all conclude that you must determine to fulfill your mission.
