Prayer: The First Prayer of a New Day

Today, we ask that You please allow us to move our body, our mind and all our thoughts into Your garden of heart. We have come to understand that Your heart is the boundless heart of love. We have come to know that your heart is the boundless heart of grief, and that Your heart has been ceaselessly hurting.

We have come to know that You are in the situation in which You still need to long for your children even now. We have come to understand that You still cannot escape from Satan’s accusation even now. We have come to realize that You are the being who still hasn’t been able to achieve the ultimate victory in the battle against Your enemy; You cannot yet emerge victoriously in glory.

You are our Father who is full of sadness, You are our Father who has ceaselessly and arduously labored, You are our Father who feels unending anxiety even now!

Please allow us to realize that such a Father is the Creator and the Lord of the creation. Let Your boundless sadness permeates into our heart; let Your boundless and sorrowful heart and bitterness flow into our heart.

Please grant that we become the ones who experience such a heart. Let us be overwhelmed by grief even to the point of being in a daze because we do not know where to put our body; please enable us to become sons and daughters who wail in tears even to the point of not knowing whether we are in heaven or on earth because we cannot control our mind.

Since we know that the reason why an altar of sadness has existed for six thousand years is because of our ancestors’ mistakes, we worry that we might be unable to fulfill our responsibility and pass on such a grief to future generations.

Now that we have come to learn that today we have the responsibility to put an end to this sorrowful history and transform Your heart into a joyful heart by resolving Your bitter sorrow during the course of our life, please grant us, who prostrate before You at this time, to become the partners of Your heart. There are many people in this world who are really very humanistic. We know that nevertheless, the reason why You are sorrowful, even though You have everything in this world, is because there are no sons and daughters who can connect with Your heart and You long for them even to the point that Your flesh and bones melt.

Now that we understand that Heaven has been searching for such sons and daughters, we hope and pray that we can become sons and daughters who can be devoted with all our heart and body so that You can acknowledge that we have nothing lacking in front of Your heart. We don’t want any material things from You. We don’t want You to have compassion for our difficult circumstances. We don’t want to receive grace from you.

Instead, we want to know Your inner anguish from which you want to rest after giving us Your grace. We hope that we become sons and daughters who can call You, who has been suffering in sorrow, “my Father”, and can comfort Your painful heart.

In order to achieve this goal, we need to willingly traverse steep and thorny paths. We need to have a single-minded heart for our Father even if arrows of persecution and mockery fly toward us. We hope and pray that You can allow us to become sons and daughters who can forget such things, digesting such experiences as lessons of faith and become close to Heaven.

Today, we who are lacking in many ways have gathered here. However, we don’t want You to worry about us when we go back home after this gathering. We have come to know that even though You have taught Your children for thousands of years that they need to offer living sacrifices, there was no true living sacrifice which You could receive. Please grant that, at the very least, we who are unworthy can become living sacrifices today who are representing history, this era and the future.

Heavenly Father,

We earnestly request that You allow this hour to be one in which You come to us, talk and discuss about what made You sad and in pain, and about Your hope.

Oh, Heavenly Father,

At this time, please bless countless believers in the spirit world and those throughout the world, who worry about and cry out for Your Will. There are those of Your blood lineage who fight in this dark world with Your new words and a new heart. Please hold and comfort them while easing their pain with Your heart at this time.

Please grant that they may not be hurting in lonely places and that they become sons and daughters who can connect to Your heart so that they can melt any pain, even the wall of death with Heaven’s heart. We sincerely hope and pray that since they are fighting with the same Will and same goal as You, please protect and lead them until the day of victory.

We know that there are many sons and daughters who bow before You are representing their people at this time. So, we earnestly hope and pray that regardless of where they are, please bless them as well as many other people. We hope that Your hands of compassion are upon us at this time. I pray in the name of the Lord. Amen!
