Publishing the first edition of Explanation of the Divine Principle (Wolli Haeseol) - August 15, 1957

OnAugust 15, 1957, the frrst president of Unification Church, Eu Hyo-won published the first edition of Explanation of the Divine Principle (Wolli Haeseol). Of course, it was directed by True Father and the president Eu summarized the original text of the Divine principle. Therefore, Wolli Haeseol is more understandable to read with the systematic paragraph.

When True Father researched the Principle, it was not eas~ to summarize it. People had not known abou~ tlie principle, so True Father put;; fiis all energy to complete writing the principle. However, it was still difficult foR the church members to understano so Eu Hyo-won supported True Father to complete Explanation of the Divine Principle.

At that time, Mr. Eu got sick so he could not sit a chair. He could sit a special chair only, but it was also hard for Mr. Eu to l<eep sitting. During he took dictation, overcame his physical disability.

T l1e first written manuscript was revised by Yoo Kwang Ryul under True Father’s supervision. After this, the part of them was released on the church magazine [Seonghwa] for receiving the feedback from the readers.

After three and half years, Explanation of the Divine Principle was published with True Father’s handwriting sign. Then, it was used for witnessing and delivered 212 books for the church members during a 40-day witnessing campaign.

At that t· e, there was no guide book for the new church member to introduce the principle, but after publishing Explanation of the Divine Principle, it was welcomed by the church members who did a witnessing activity.
