A Faith, Freedom and Peace Prayer Breakfast was held at the New Jersey Family Church on October 25.
The 70 participants included religious leaders from various denominations, coordinated by the Universal Peace Federation, the American Clergy Leadership Conference, and the Women’s Federation for World Peace.
Through an interfaith holy water ceremony and testimonies from those who had also suffered persecution, participants shared their religious experiences and yearning for peace, affirming the need for reconciliation and solidarity that transcends religious denominations.
Tanya Edwards, International Director of the World Christian Leadership Conference, delivered the message, introducing True Parents’ peace movement and Heavenly Parent’s providence under the theme, “True Parents’ Life Path and Vision for Peace.”
Pastor Edwards emphasized the importance of pursuing the common good through interfaith cooperation, stating that the role of religious leaders is more crucial than ever in healing the conflicts and divisions facing American society.
The prayer meeting concluded with a joint prayer and benediction offered by representatives of various religious denominations, and participants pledged to continue their efforts to promote peace and expand interfaith cooperation within the community.
