Speakers Information: Dr. Maria RIEHL, Director WFWP UN- Vienna Office; President WFWP Austria, 1992-2002. Former Chair, NGO Committee on PEACE. Dr. RIEHL was also for over 20 years active-together with her husband in the organization: “FORUM EAST”, providing Humanitarian Aid and Education in countries behind the Iron curtain. She has been active as medical Doctor, as general practitioner, for more than 37 years. She is mother of 5 children and has 11 grandchildren.

Speakers Ms. Maria Zelda “Marizel” ROJAS, President BSA Chair European Network of Filipino Diaspora Austria (ENFiD-Austria), BSC in Physics for Teachers and is a product of the National Science Development Board and she is currently working at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization. In 2019, Marizel was recognized as the Most Influential Filipina Woman in the World by the Philippine Women’s Network, Board Member of the united Nations Correspondents Association Vienna (UNCAV) and Officer of the European Police Association (EPA). & Ms. Sarah Jozelle ROJAS is currently taking Fashion Communications at the University of Arts London and in the process of finishing her BSC in Business and Economics at the University of Vienna. She is a member of several Philippine and international Organizations: European Network of Filipino Diaspora Austria (ENFiD-Austria); United Nations Women’s Guild (UNWG) Vienna International Centre- Club Filipino (VIC-CF) Bicol Society Austria (BSA); Philippine Austrian Cultural and Educational Society (PACES) Her interests include fashion, travelling, and pole dancing. She also enjoys sampling different cuisines. An avid and indiscriminate reader, she expresses her biculturalism through her poetry.

Ms. Shrutthi LEKHA RAAJA ELANGO, GERMANY – She is a doctoral researcher at the United Nation’s University for Peace, focusing on people centered development cooperation. She also works as a development and program consultant for several organizations, including local governments. She has founded and served as the director of a social enterprise called Polity Link International and served as a lead on consulting for sustainable governance, partnering with several institutions. She has a masters in development Studies and Diplomacy from the UN University for Peace and a Bachelor in International Relations from HSRW in Germany. She also works as a lecturer for master students of Peace and Conflict studies at the Otto Von Guericke University in Germany. She has also published works on peace and International cooperation, including the responsibility to protect doctrine, women’s socioeconomic development and other development policy review works, in several established journals.

I ~- r!.il ‘I · ~·- WOMEN’S FEDERATION FOR WORLD PEACE NGO-ECOSOC/UN /VIENNA, Z.V.R: 367192876 towards the changing roles of women, the influence of religion on women empowerment, gender equality, how women can promote peace, harmony & social cohesion, remove women & girls’ harassment, human trafficking and the importance of inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue for the development of children education and harmony among them. She has been implementing the root level projects through workshops and training programs with women and children in underprivileged areas to educate them about good touch, bad touch, bad effects on selling child brides, health, hygiene, sanitation, climate justice, gender equality, stopping child marriage and how they can promote peace, harmony, social cohesion & protect themselves from sexual assault. She has also engaged them in activities such as tree planting and clean-up programs thereby localizing the SDGs to foster peace and social cohesion. She had joined leadership training programs both nationally and internationally. She is a youth, Environment and Pure Love Advocate.

Ms. Irene SCHMUTTERMEIER, originally from Ukraine and residing in Vienna, Austria for the past five years. Marketing Strategist and analytical specialist, volunteers and advocates for peace, expressing deep concern for global issues. As a representative of WFWP Austria and an active participant in the CREATIVE SOCIETY project and Allatra movement, she engages with a diverse global network. She has contributed significantly by organizing and visiting events, taking interviews with scientists and professionals, and leading initiatives to address the global climate crisis. In April, she was the speaker and organizer of a climate presentation hosted by IAYSP Austria. Irene is particularly concern about the war in Ukraine and the necessity for peace. She communicates globally, emphasizing the universal desire for a peaceful and safe society. She actively raises awareness about the climate crisis on social media daily and collaborates with various NGOs and peace ambassadors to address and resolve global problems. Creative Society project has representatives of different ethnic groups, occupations, social spheres, and various religious and political views from 180 countries around the world. The mission of the Creative Society is to draw the world’s attention to the global climate crisis, study its causes and find solutions, create conditions that unite humanity’s scientific potential to protect human life and prevent further climate collapse. Ms. Anais Carolina VEGA MONTALVAN, SPAIN, a graduate in Biology, at the University of Alcala, Spain, specialized in Clinical trials, cancer development and autoimmune diseases at University of Herfordshire, UK; currently working at Espacio Ronda, a cultural space in Madrid where art, music and religious diversity are promoted;

Ms. Christine Rose BULAYO, Regional Secretary-General for WFWP Asia Pacific, Computer Engineer, and co-Project Manager of the Permaculture Literacy Program. Additionally, she holds the position of Governor-General for 10K Heroes United, the youth arm of WFWP, which focuses on Climate Action Initiatives and nurturing Peace-Loving Global Leaders. Christine has participated in leadership training in Korea, the United States and various regions of the Philippines. She is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment, environmental sustainability and pure love.

Closing Remarks: Ms Merle SOQUILA- BLASCHKE, a Filipino Spanish dual citizen, currently living in Carinthia, Austria with her husband. Before her involvement with the WFWP, an NGO with UN ECOSOC Status and very noble objectives, Merle was a campaigner and co founder of former Philippine Jury International (PJI), a London based NGO known also as Worldwide Philippine Jury Initiative. She’s one of the first recipients of “Ambassador of True Love” Certificate Award from WFWP & OSM’s Women’s World Online during the Covid-19 in 2020. during the CSW67 & CSW68 held in New York, USA for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024. She is a WFWP Liaison Officer between Austria and the Philippines and the founder of “Moonlight Solar Lamp Project” with the 10K Heroes United Bohol as co-creators of the pilot project. Despite her hearing impairment, she was appointed as WFWP Carinthia Leader in August 2023; She joined her team in participating at UNODC Constructive Dialogue about Human trafficking and the Smuggling of Migrants, where she contributed and read a statement. Shortly afterwards, she initiated the online platform “Meet & Greet” for her passion in finding ways for a more resilient and sustainable solutions and to discover that magic formula how we could work in the future harmoniously together in pursuits of a better world for all.

ENTERTAINMENT: Aseo FRIESACHER, is a pianist and composer born in Vienna, Austria. He started to play classical piano at the age of 6. After becoming a member of the Vienna Boy’s Choir, Aseo found his love to jazz music and eventually formed his own jazz trio.

MODERATOR: Ms. Kyung In van de Ven OLIVEIRA, youth Representative of the WFWP Europe, and WFWP Netherlands, WFWPI Vienna UN Team since 2021, is born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, currently working as a Legal Guardian and Child’s Advocate of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers at the National Guardian Institution in the Netherlands.(tbc)
