We are so excited to announce the SECOND-EVER Original Song Project! This year, it will be a week- long immersion program targeting young adult Unificationist musicians and their friends ages 18-40 interested in songwriting located in the heart of Manhattan. Our mission is to create an artistic, constructive, and supportive space for young adults to inspire the writing and sharing of original songs.
THIS YEAR, we have the special privilege of welcoming professional songwriter Joe Young to help lead
this year’s workshop for the full week. Joe has a passion and talent for songwriting and storytelling, and is the founder and pastor of The Living Room Ministry (www,thelivingroomministry,com/). He will be with us for the full week to help guide, teach, and lead the creation of our original songs.
Some of the activities we may engage in: songwriting sessions, seminars with other professional songwriters, going to shows/other NYC explorations, tour and potential recording session at the Manhattan Center, etc. At the conclusion of the workshop, the goal is to have every participant compose at least one original song with the option to perform in the open concert for family and friends. You can check out last year’s concert and see the incredible original songs everyone wrote! www,youtube,com/watch?v=2qu8KDJdcsI
