WFWP South London, UK - Women's Peace Academy monthly study morning

On Friday 1st October, the Women’s Peace Academy held it’s monthly online study morning, reading and reflecting on the words of our founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon as written in her memoirs, “Mother of Peace.”

Eight ladies attended, including our national President Mrs. Mitty Tohma. We were also very happy to welcome one lady joining from the Middle East, Mrs. Hermine Schellen, who is based in Lebanon.

The reading, in which Mother Moon spoke about traveling to many parts of the world to bring her and Rev. Moon’s message of peace to suffering people, also highlighted the sacrifice entailed in that she had to often leave behind her very young children who missed their mother deeply. That was something which the ladies in the meeting could relate to, and some even had experienced similar situations themselves. It led to some very deep and profound sharing which was heartwarming and sincere.

We ended with prayer and with a feeling of deep understanding of a Mother’s heart.

We will hold our next online meeting on 29th October, and there will be an in-person study on 15th Oct.
