Update on UK Property Consultation - Survey results to the National Council

Thank you to all of you who participated in our consultation. We have completed 37 surveys and are waiting for one more. A Focus Group has been completed with 8 participants. 10 semi-structured surveys were done. The website gave other members an opportunity to participate, and 12 did so. There have also been 5 emailed suggestions and comments and 2 public meetings organised by Bromley and the West Country. These are all being considered.

Since there is quite a bit more data than planned (which is a good thing), the deadline has been set back to 30 September for the final report.

There will be a presentation of the results to the National Council, Trustee Board and Property and Investments Committee before the end of September for their initial feedback and assessment so that any points or questions can be addressed in the final report.

The next steps (still to be agreed) are:

Use the final report from the uses and needs consultation and consider them with either, ideally, the strategy for the Movement, or if that is not clear, then the current use and needs.

Use a consultancy (or do it ourselves) and put the conclusions of step 1. together with many possible uses of the properties to:

Come up with a few viable options with a business plan, costs, projections etc.

Decide on which options to go for.
