Out witnessing for the first time in the Dominican Republic!
Hola todos~!
This is the brand new Dominican Republic team here with the very first post of this brand new mission period!
Fundraising with Santiago YSP members!
This year we started off the mission with something completely new by going on a trip to South Korea. We spent 10 days there, visiting various sites connected to the very beginnings of CARP, as well as attending several events and celebrations commemorating the many youth and peace events happening around the world. Many important leaders came from around the world to take part in the celebrations, including Africa, Japan, and a personal message from the president of the United States himself!
On Tuesday, February 11th, our group set off to our country, the Dominican Republic. We were welcomed there by the Santo Domingo CARP family, as well as some Japanese CARP members who are currently staying there.
Dominican Republic team with CARP member, Frank!
On Wednesday, February 12th, we went out on our very first witnessing run at the very first university to have ever been created in the Latin Americas! The Japanese CARP members, and two Dominican CARP brothers went with us as guides and support.
On Saturday, February 15th, we went to the Santiago CARP Center and supported them in their fundraising activities! We spent the whole day in Puerto Plata, raising funds for Youth and Students for Peace (YSP) events and activities.
This Sunday, we moved from the Santo Domingo CARP Center to the Santiago CARP center to fully focus on supporting an upcoming YSP event happening at the end of this month. We hope to be able to connect to the local community on a deeper level, and support to the best of our abilities in uplifting the youth here!
Thank you for reading, and we hope to see you next week!
