Generation Peace Academy announces the start of the 2013-14

Greetings from Generation Peace Academy (GPA)! We are excited to announce the start of the 2013-14 program with 131 inspired participants from America and the world. We are honored to work with this fantastic group and thank all the parents for their great investment and support.

This year’s program features three key learning objectives – to develop a personal relationship with God and True Parents; to learn, apply and teach the Divine Principle; and to develop meaningful ways to personally contribute to God’s Providence through daily life. These objectives will guide all of our activities, including fundraising, Divine Principle education, overseas service and – new for this year – USA Community Outreach.

We especially want to introduce you to the Community Outreach Program because we hope that you will be involved! For thirty days during April and May, GPA participants and staff will divide into groups to live and work in seven selected communities throughout the nation. They seek to support the ministry efforts in these communities with their talents, skills and great spirit! It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to share in the lives of these beloved young members and help them as they develop into the future leaders of our church.

Applications will be assessed according to criteria on the form and seven communities will be formally selected. We hope that all of you will apply – but hurry because the application deadline is October 25, 2013!
