AnnouncingGeneration Peace Academy 2013 0DUFK Dear Families, We believe that Generation Peace Academy (GPA) provides a great opportunity for high school graduates to participate in a transformational gap-year program. They will embark on a journey of self-discovery which will prepare them to enter their college or work years more focused and empowered. The primary purpose of the program is to help participants develop their own authentic relationship with our Heavenly Parent and True Parents, and their desire to pursue a Principled lifestyle. We invest in training emerging leaders knowing with the right opportunities they can approach the future with passion, perspective and a purpose they will need to make an impact and differ- ence in their lives and others. We are looking forward to the upcoming year and welcoming the new participants in early September. This memo will inform you about the application process for the GPA 2013-14 program year. Over the years GPA has evolved into a comprehensive one-year program, which includes personal growth opportunities such as the overseas service projects to devel- oping countries, outdoor adventure training, fundraising, in-depth exploration of the Divine Principle and Unification Thought, Blessing preparation etc…. GPA continues to be transformed in new and exciting ways, forever adapting to the needs of the young people and the Providential times we currently live in. The application process will open from March 10, 2013. Simply register and log-in at gpafamily.com to access the application located near the top of the page. Additional information such as photos, videos and participant testimonies can also be found on this website. There is no application fee from March 10 to April 15. From April 15 onward there is a non-refundable fee of $70. We are only able to take a limited amount of participants this year so we encourage you to sign up early. After receiving your application materials, a staff member will contact you and schedule a phone interview.
