Give a Book, Catch a Dream’ for Kenya Children
Volunteers of Service For Peace in Kenya rolled out a Book Drive exercise themed ‘Give a Book, Catch a Dream’ aimed at collecting 5,000 books, journals, magazines, storybooks, newspapers, comics and any other form of literature that would be beneficial to young developing minds.

Vote for Social Innovators in Kenya
A team of Kenyan university students who are volunteers with Service For Peace in Nairobi are participating in the Dell Students for Innovation Competition (SFI) running to win $100,000.
We need your VOTE in the following simple steps: 1. Go to the Dell Social Innovation Competition website. 2. On the right side there is a log-in box, click on “register now”
3. Enter a user name, password and email address. Follow the short directions given on logging in.
4. In the ‘Search’ box look for ‘Nurturing innovation hubs in universities in Kenya’
5. Click on the “Vote now” tab or the orange “promote” button - it should turn grey. You have voted!

Join our Upcoming Program in Kenya
From February 28th to March 6th, we are looking for enthusiastic, inspired individuals who want to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. Become a Global PeaceMaker by joining our 7-day program in Kenya and serving children in need, while having fun, learning skills for life and exploring Africa’s beauty.
Close to 40 international and local volunteers will help to renew the infrastructure of a classroom and library for 160 children, as well as the implementation of reading workshops and recreational games , in the Children Garden Home and School, located in Kawangware, Dagoretti, close to Nairobi, capital of Kenya.
The GPM will include tours for emblematic places of Kenya and cross cultural experiences with community people and Kenyan university students.
