One Korea

In this note, I will start out with a preamble–and then I will come to the main point, which is, the unification of Korea. So, first, the preamble.
I start out with an outlook on the world based on the physical body’s pattern. Namely, everything has a triadic structure of stomach, heart, and brain. In the human physical body, there is unity but not equality. There is also fairness–but a better way to characterize the body is unity – not equality, but unity. The world is to follow a similar pattern. Unity begins with One.
Thus, the Tao Te Ching says that everything begins with unity, or “the One”:
” The Tao gives birth to One. One gives birth to Two. Two gives birth to Three. Three gives birth to all things.” (#42)
Perfection, therefore, starts with one. That is the ideal; that is as it should be. But what if something starts, not with one, but with two? Then, there is a problem. That is the case of the so-called fallen world (See Genesis, chapters 1 through 3).
In Genesis, the creation of humankind started out with the creation of Adam – the One. But Adam did the one thing the Creator warned him about, namely, he ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
In other words, he exchanged the knowledge of good and evil–which belongs only to God – for faith, which belongs to humans. But without faith there is no trust, and without trust there is no love. Without love, there is no Adam. Hence, Adam died – that is, love died. Yes, the physical human shell continued to live many years, but the splendid person that was meant to be the image of God on earth died.
Instead, two persons were born: Cain and Abel. And those two became the beginning of human history. This is unprincipled, spurious, unholy, bogus. Herein lies the beginning of wars and strife in human history.
But I believe that, as of the December solstice 2012, the history of the struggle between Cain and Abel has come to an end. So, I end here the preamble. Now I am ready to talk about the unification of Korea.
The Unification of Korea-the Unification of Asia
As I see it, Asia, together with Oceania, represents the soul of the world, or the stomach. This means that the importance of Asia in the world reflects the importance of the stomach area in the human physical body – that is, the belly. From the stomach area come life and the force to thrive. It is from the force of the soul that comes the driving force for the law of evolution.
But on earth, Asia continues to be fractured as long as Korea continues to be divided. It is important, therefore, for Korea to be unified. This unification was actually the dream of Kim Il Sung, who was the founder of Communist Korea and the grandfather of the current Korean dictator.
Deterred by the Vietnam War, Kim Il Sung was not able to unify Korea under Communism. I believe God’s Holy Spirit prevented the unification of Korea under Communism, which would be contrary to God’s Providence for the world.
But now that human history has crossed the demarcation line of December 2012, the time has come for Korea to be unified under democracy. With the unification of Korea, there will start the healing of Asia and the healing of the world.
Therefore, Pres. Donald Trump’s effort to engage China into the effort to bring Korea to democracy is along the line of God’s Providential work and should be encouraged. It is hoped that this unification will follow the lines of the unification of Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the liberation of the Soviet Union after the fall of the Iron Curtain–that is, along peaceful lines.
