Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the 6,000 couples’ Blessing

On Sunday, October 14th, 20 couples in the Paris region from the 8,000 couple blessing got together for a 30th anniversary celebration. We came together for lunch, after Sunday service, in a Chinese restaurant, not far from the French HQ, in Les Ulis. David Perry of the Blessed Family Department was the MC. After a representative prayer, Jean-François Moulinet, our national leader, opened the event with a few words about how honored he was to be with all couples who were still present after 30 years.

Everyone then took advantage of the all-you-can-eat buffet and enjoyed having time to eat and talk together. Our families do not take enough time just to be together and share and it was plain to see that everyone was enjoying himself or herself.

We took time for several testimonies, some very deep, on the situation of a couple today, and others very funny about matching experiences and the time of visiting in-laws.

These testimonies reminded us of how fortunate we are to have been matched and blessed by True Parents during this brief period when they were here on Earth.

We concluded with a big anniversary cake and a feeling that our first 30-year course had finished in a very positive way and that now we were making a new beginning in our 2nd 30-year course!
