The Role of Christianity in Britain

2018-01-06 · Source: tparents.org

We had 18 guests, with 4 Pastors and 2 Christian Workers. Naomi Sato cooked a delicious meal for us. Joanna Hartl was a very good MC and kept the programme flowing well. Pastor Collins is from the Dominion Faith Chapel, Pastor Tunde Olowude is from the Redeemed Church of Christ, Pastor Stella Adeosun is from the Living Treasure Outreach, Pastor Elizabeth is from The Compassionate Act Outreach International and Queen Esther George is a Gospel singer.

Rev Shoichi Kimura, who came from Germany to help us, gave an interesting talk about why Christianity did not succeed in influencing Japan. The Christian missionaries were not able to present the deeper, more spiritual heart of Jesus. And he explained that he came to write the Tears of Jesus and The Tears of Mary to show a deeper heart of Jesus and Mary. Robin Marsh gave an excellent Presentation about Christianity in Britain. The contribution of Britain to the development of World Christianity and the amount of giving that Britain gives today to support developing nations and disasters made me feel proud. However, with the decline of Christianity many moral problems have arisen including the breakdown of traditional family values. Robin emphasised the need for Prayers for the Nation to bring God back and the need for action - to make our concerns heard through concerted action. He suggested that we support the Prayer meetings held in Parliament.

There was a lively discussion about what Community Projects could be done to support the Pastors in their outreach; specifically to capture the interests of he young generation through sports and music. The evening ended with a clarion call to ACTION by Pastor Collins.
