1. Day 9, Peace Embassy

The venue chosen for the two evening events was the Colombian Peace Embassy. On October 9, 95 Ambassadors for Peace and other participants attended. Mr. Alejandro Fayad, a Colombian Peace Federation member, acted as master of ceremonies and introduced Ambassador for Peace Pedro Alejandro Ordoñez from Bucaramanga, who challenged the audience by asking them: “Do you have peace in your home? Peace does not just mean the absence of guerrillas!” he concluded.

After the video presentation, the president of the Colombian Peace Federation read Reverend Chung Hwan Kwak´s speech on the meaning and significance of True Parents´ World Tour, followed by the Founder´s Address presented by Mr. In Sup Park. Each time he communicated True Parents´ words in English, he read with conviction and fluidity, combined with a very gentle and loving attitude.

Reverend Yoo Bong Sang and Kim Myung Joo presided over the Holy Wine Ceremony and offering ceremonies. They concluded with a tearful and powerful prayer for all the couples who were present.

At the conclusion at each event at all four venues, the participants joined in three joyful cheers and had their picture taken together.

2. Day 9, Sergio Arboleda University, Bogota

In Sup first spoke on October 9 at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium “Álvaro Gómez Hurtado” at Sergio Arboleda University. 138 students listened to him as he read to them in English, while they themselves followed the speech in Spanish, sentence by sentence, as it appeared on a large screen.

This proved to be a very good strategy because it forced the students to focus on the written text. Many of them said that it was good English practice, besides learning a new perspective for peace.

3. Day 10, La Salle University

We repeated the same experience during the morning of October 10 at La Salle University, whose Conference Room was filled with 135 students, moved to participate by the dedication of the Colombian CARP members. There we could really appreciate the spiritual atmosphere of La Salle´s foundation of religious brotherhood.

4. Day 10, Peace Embassy

The Colombian Embassy for Peace served as the venue for the second meeting on October 10. The Colombian Women´s Peace Federation organized the gathering this time. Once again the program began at 6:30 p.m. in a very familiar yet respectful and quiet atmosphere. The master of ceremonies was Diana Delgado, wife of the President of CARP-Colombia. A total of 106 participants followed In Sup´s words attentively, while reading the speech in Spanish on a big screen, following the same successful strategy used throughout each of his readings.
