In Memory of Dr. Bo Hi Pak - A joke - from Jack Harford, Indiana Family Church

Here is the funniest joke I heard today about Dr. Bo Hi Pak during his Seunghwa ceremony in Indiana Family Church, told by Pastor Jack Harford.

As most Unifications know, Dr. Pak was a Colonel in the Korea army, before joining the Unification church where he served as the most inspiring translator to Father Moon.

While he was Colonel in the Korean army, he served as translator for an American General who loves to tell jokes. However, most of time Bo Hi Park didn’t understand the General’s jokes and find them not funny. In fact he felt they were boring. One day the American General came to give a speech to a group of Korean generals and Bo Hi Park was to translate the speech. The General started his speech by telling a long joke.

He was laughing his guts out telling his joke, meanwhile Bo Hi Park was sweating and couldn’t understand the joke at all, let alone translating it. The general finished his joke and still laughing, than come Bo Hi Park turn to translate the joke. Smiling and nervous, he took the microphone and said to the generals. “I really didn’t understand the General joke. Let’s not embarrass our guest. Let’s give him a big loud laugh as if you find his joke so funny, as soon as he finished, all the generals went in roars, laughing uncontrollably. Later the General came to Bo Hi Pak and said “you are the best translator. You managed to tell the joke in just few words, good job.” LOL!!!
