On September 25th, 2013 (Wed.) at 10 am the “Yongpyong Resort Check Signing Ceremony for Hopes and Dream Multicultural Family Welfare Sponsorship” was held at the General Multicultural Welfare Center in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Yongpyong Resort President Chang Ju Jeong handed over a check worth 12.309 million won in 2013 summer concert proceeds to Sachiko Watanabe, the Standing Director and Managing Director of the General Multicultural Welfare Center, and Echigo Wuda, the President of the Japanese Wives of Koreans Association.
As an affiliate of the Ministry of Gender Equality, the General Multicultural Welfare Center has acquired
a permit to issue receipts for contributions (Ministry of Strategy and Finance), and is active in supporting the welfare of nearly 1,000 multicultural member families.
The support funds given by the Yongpyong Resort is planned to be spent for multicultral families with second generation that are having a difficult time economically. The proceeds were derived from 2013 Yongpyong Resort summer festival concert ticket sales and are intended for helping mulitcultural families.
