The 1st VIP Friendly Athletic Competition was held for the development of the Cheon Bok Gung Church

There was heavy rain for several days, but surprisingly the weather on “the 1st VIP Invitational Friendly Athletic Competition for the development of the Cheon Bok Gung Church” was very clear.

Out of the 80 persons that attended, distinguished guests were introduced at the opening address, followed by an address by the Family Federation Korea president Chang Shik Yang, and Tongil Group Chairman No Hi Pak’s address and a welcoming address by the Yongpyong Resort President Jeong Chang-ju.

After the Friendly Athletic Competition ended, the closing ceremony took place in the Yongpyong Resort Hotel Grand Ballroom. After showing a video of the peace movement by President Sun Myung Moon there was a prayer by the Cheon Bok Gung Church Leader, Byeong Yeol Lee.

During the closing address, President Chang Shik Yang emphasized that “the peace movement spread throughout the world by Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon is an asset to Korea and to the world” while adding “If you have the chance I would advise the participants to take a closer look at the peace ideology of Rev. Moon.”

Chairman No Hi Pak of the Tongil Group, which sponsored the event on the day emphasized how the friendly athletic competition was a precious time to develop relationships while expressing appreciation to the participants for taking part for the development of the Cheon Bok Gung Church.

The schedule ended with Sunwon Construction CEO Sang Yun Song giving Cheon Bok Gung Church Leader Byeong Yeol Lee funds raised from the friendly athletic competition for the Cheon Bok Gung Church Multicultural Family Development Fund.
