This Is History - Chosen: Discovering the Life of True Parents

I realized very early this morning, what is really happening with this Docu-series [Chosen: Discovering the Life of True Parents] that is now being shown every night.

This is not just a simple lecture series where we can learn and enjoy. This is an example of how we are sharing True Parents’ history, our history, which our children and future generations can see, hear and learn from directly. This is how our history departments, in each country and especially the Sunhak Institute of History in Korea, which is documenting the entire True Parents’ providential life course, is setting up.

Look at the excitement, awe, understanding and deep respect everyone who is watching this 21-Day series is experiencing. This is what future generations will also experience when they see, hear and read True Parents on video, their images and words. And, it will be the same when they hear and read our experiences, who attended True Parents directly.

Christians have been reading and re-reading the words in the Bible for two thousand years. They have been clinging to that book, just this one book, cherishing it, loving it, sometimes even dying for it.

Today, we have so many books, videos, and images of True Parents, we just can’t get enough of them. We are thirsty for more, so we can connect our hearts to True Parents’ as much as possible.

The last few nights, we have been so excited hearing the testimonies of brothers and sisters who have experienced True Parents’ directly, attended them directly, sometimes in harm’s way. More and more people are tuning in each night to hear more.

Now, with our True Parents’ writing their own memoirs, we can see why we need to write our own testimonies, our experiences, of how we attended True Parents. This is how our children and future generations can learn and get connected to True Parents’ as well.

By attending True Parents’, we helped changed the course of history, not just for the present, but the future as well.

This is why we need to have history departments in each country, which can compile testimonies that show through publications, media and museums of how True Parents’ affected those countries and their people, how Heavenly Parent finally settled in those countries. When they go to the museums, they will not only see real exhibits of True Parents lives, but they will see and hear testimonies as well, just like what we are seeing now.

During this time, while we have time, please inspire everyone to write their testimonies. Already, we have lost four brothers and sisters in the past week or so. Time is running short.

Also, I hope you can find ways to build up the history departments. Dr. Michael Mickler, with a few leaders, is working hard. The history department in Korea is also understaffed. These departments need more help. The museum in Korea will be ready in 2023. The East Garden/Belvedere museum for the United States is already set up in a small way. It’s the media side, like we are having every week that needs to be worked on. They still need more testimonies and items to fill those museums.

In conclusion, the most important thing that needs to be emphasized is for members to write their memoirs as soon as possible. In thirty years or so, when only a handful of us are still here, how much the generations will cling to us, seeing the last of those who attended True Parents directly, like we cherish the remaining 36 Blessed Couples. They will want to see and hear those last few survivors and cherish them before they are all gone. That’s how important this is.
