Hear about the moving workshop held this weekend at our Peace Embassy…

‘On the beautiful sunny morning of Saturday, March 8, almost 40 parents/1st gen/2nd gen gathered for a one day matching/blessing seminar (Level 2/Part 2) organized by BFD Director Betty R at the Peace Embassy in Thorton Heath. Some traveled 6 hours from Torquay, Wales, Birmingham, Wiltshire, Chichester and nearer to London to arrive by 9:30am until 6:30pm. The day was filled with valuable presentations, testimonies, group discussions and a question/answer period with a panel of pastors and BFD interviewers and matching supporters.

After Betty began with song, prayer and introduction, Steven S. gave two presentations including sharing from personal experiences from his recent publication of The 7 Principles of Creation Marriage Enrichment Workbook, (can be purchased from Steve or on Amazon) that everyone used with worksheets in small discussion groups, followed by a chance to share and pray in trinity groups. This was followed by Steven’s wife, Barbara S., giving a talk on Self-forgiveness and Self- compassion, again sharing from her personal life experiences. Adding to that was a short talk and meditation exercise led by Jennifer N. to practice the above principles.

Following lunch, Pastor William H. gave a talk on “Why Marry?” and then a team panel consisting of Franklin F., William H., Ginger N., and Vanya A. were asked anonymous questions from the audience which gave another opportunity for personal testimonies. Finally, Franklin F. shared his story of finding a match for his two sons and Asst. Pastor Eunju Y gave a very insightful pp presentation explaining her four matching processes, what she learned from them, and how her fourth process led to her very happy Blessing with her husband Jonathan H.

Overall, it was a very good and valuable experience, with enough content that could possibly be shared over two days. Especially discussion groups, prayer time and a panel for question/answer was appreciated. A big thank you goes to Betty R for her consistent investment and all those who contributed to making the day a success, including Yoshi S. who gave technical assistance.’
