A particularity this time was that this meeting took place in several places simultaneously, notably in Geneva, Switzerland (8 participants); Loos (4 participants) and Orsay (9 participants) in France; Bamako, Mali (5 participants); Kinshasa, DRC (13 participants).

We received Zoom requests from 22 countries; we were particularly honored by the Zoom presence of Ms. Eileen BARKER, Professor of Sociology, Distinguished Fellow of the London School of Economics, and Ms. Morgana SYTHOVE, Trustee of the World Council of the United Religions Initiative (URI) (for whom we arranged simultaneous English translation).

The moderator of the meeting was Ms. Chantal KOMAGATA, Secretary General of the Universal Peace Federation in Switzerland and Coordinator in Europe.

The first reading brought a view of Judaism: Don Aristide DE-CARLI, Jewish theologian and president of the Swiss Society for Spiritual Assistance, commented on an adaptation of the text “Sepher ha-Zohar (the Book of Splendor) Esoteric Doctrine of the Israelites.”

Professor Olivier BAUER, Protestant theologian, Professor of Practical Theology at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, then explained why he advocates a more inclusive version o f Jesus’ Prayer, beginning with “Our Mother and Father who art in heaven…”.

As a short musical break, we listened to the French version of “You Raise Me Up” by the young gospel singer of Cameroonian nationality STETCHIE.

The third reading, Quran VII.156, was commented on by Professor Eric GEOFFROY, a specialist in Islamic thought and spirituality, professor emeritus at the University of Strasbourg, and author of “Allah au féminin.”

The fourth reading, extracted from the book “Mother of Peace”, was commented on by Mrs. Brigitte WADA, president of the Federation of Women for World Peace-France.

The meeting concluded with a questions and answers session and a review of the year 2022 by Dr. Mouslim FIDAHOUSSEN, Islamologist. The Venerable Michel THAO CHAN and Professor Boumédiène BENYAHIA also intervened spontaneously, and Jean-François Moulinet explained the theme of 2023: “Cultivating peace daily.”
