January 3 – 9, 2012 Huize Glory, Bergen aan Zee, The Netherlands The Divine Principle Father Sun Myung Moon’s revelatory teaching, known as ‘The Divine Principle”, also “Unification Principle”, identifies spiritual principles that explain the workings of God behind human history and through the world’s great religious traditions; in a manner that transcend traditional boundaries of race, religion and culture and shows how we are moving toward a truly ‘unified’ view of life wherein the spiritual and physical dimensions are harmonized. As a spiritual teaching, the Divine Principle effects a positive transformation on the individual lives of those who hear it. To immerse oneself in serious study and discussion over seven days is a way to discover one’s own history and spiritual roots, one’s own identity and purpose as a person of faith. In his autobiography, Father Moon tells how he first received his Messianic commission through his encounter with the risen Christ at the age of 16 and how he continued his lonely and prayerful search to find the answers to fundamental questions about life; his profound insights he now shares in this systematic teaching. The world view and philosophy provided by the Principle characterises and guides the many varied projects that the Unification Movement promotes, including its interfaith programmes and peace initiatives; despite often intense opposition from influential persons in the political, religious, academic, media and other establishments Through this programme of lectures, presentations and other activities you will surely be able to reflect deeply on God’s Will in relation to your own life, as well as to the wider society and world.
The Location: Huize Glory, Elzenlaan 2, Bergen aan Zee, Noord Holland

Workshop staff Timothy Miller was studying Social Work at Leicester University in the UK when he first heard the Divine Principle. He completed his degree, then worked full time in the Unification Movement, before a spell as a local government social worker, specializing in vulnerable and disturbed young people. David Hanna was a practising architect who decided to pursue his profession beyond buildings, to study the architecture of the human soul. His academic qualifications include a MDiv from Unification Thelogical Seminary in New York State and a PhD in Theology from the University of Wales. In 2011, he led a number European 7 Day Divine Principle workshops in Britain and Greece. Hans Campman left his university studies to be the pianist for The New Life Show, an international group of performing artists who toured northern Europe inviting audiences to attend Divine Principle workshops. He subsequently performed before the Pope in Rome, before Father & Mrs Moon in a Beatles tribute band in Korea, and as choir arranger & pianist before a capacity audience in London’s Royal Albert Hall. He recently spoke on “Touching God through Music (Music & Ecstasy)”, and as President, Unification Movement Nederland, teaches Divine Principle every Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon, with a sermon on Sunday, in UM-Nederland headquarters in Amsterdam Zuid. Willem (Wim) Koetsier gained a masters degree in Sociology at Holland’s prestigious University of Leiden before joining the UM Nederland staff in Huize Glory. He was editor of the UM Nederland magazine Doorbraak and has advised a number of foundations. He is currently Secretary General, Universal Peace Federation Nederland.
The Workshop Ethos: many find the Workshop to be a most surprising and valuable form of religious retreat. You can take time away from the pressures of day-to-day life and reflect more on the inner life in the company of others. Participants are encouraged to embrace the schedule and treat each other as brothers and sisters – ‘One Family Under God’. We like to think of it as a journey we make together, and each participant adds something significant to the whole experience.
Mr. Timothy J Miller, Dr. David Hanna, Vice-Chairman, Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Europe Director, UM Europe Education Dept.
