Entrance into Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum and the Beginning of a New Era

The commemorative week of events for the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum Entrance Ceremony, which began with the Hyojeong Cultural Festival in late March, followed by the 2.1 Million Global Hyojeong Special Worship and the Cheonwon Grand Festival Opening Ceremony held directly with Mother at Cheon Won Gung, will conclude with the Cheon Il Guk Leaders’ Assembly and Closing Ceremony today and tomorrow.

Looking back, the 35 events we held during this short time put this celebration on a unprecedented scale that our community has never experienced before. In all aspects, these events were more than four times greater than the dedication ceremony. For the victory of the Entrance Ceremony, our public leaders from around the world, pastors from each church, blessed families, and even young generation Pure Waters all came together with one heart and one mind to offer their devotion. And every night, through Cheonshim Won night prayer vigils, we fervently prayed for victory.

Let us harbor in our hearts our heartfelt gratitude to True Mother, Holy Mother Han, who continues to guide us. She has remained closer to Heaven than anyone else, invested precious devotion, meticulously planned everything, and has been vigilantly overseeing all this workday and night.

I would like to request that we all offer a big round of applause in congratulations and gratitude for all the leaders who worked so hard, for the blessed families and members from around the world, for all of us.

And through this opportunity, I would like to express special gratitude to certain individuals. These are the people who, throughout this commemorative week, overcame incredible challenges - physical and mental fatigue, cold and heat, rain and wind, hunger and drowsiness - from early morning until late night on the roads, handling parking and traffic guidance for thousands upon thousands of vehicles for a week, and safely guiding tens of thousands of members crossing the road in front of the World Center amid heavy traffic. These are our next generation of church leaders, and other young people with public missions, so many second and third generation Pure Waters.

Today’s event is the “Cheon Il Guk Leaders’ Assembly.” Today, the day after the Entrance Ceremony, the word “leader” seems to carry a more profound weight than ever before. And before the word “leader” is the term “Cheon Il Guk.” So we are talking about “Cheon Il Guk leaders,” which I believe is a significant topic that has major implications for all of us who have completed the Entrance Ceremony.

Cheon Won Gung, the Central Administration of Cheon Il Guk, and Cheon Mu Won

May 7, 2023 was the day of the Cheon Won Gung Dedication Ceremony. At that time, Mother prayed like this:

“Heavenly Parent, please accept this dedication with joy. Although some aspects are still not yet complete, we will ensure they will be fully in place and ready for the entrance ceremony in 2024.

Accordingly, we will make every effort to create a broad environment in which You can directly commence this providence on earth with the True Parents.”

This was her prayer, and looking carefully at the context, it was a promise to hold the Entrance Ceremony in 2024.

Then, on June 1 of that year, at the “Heavenly Korea (Districts 1 and 2) Leaders’ Resolution and Commissioning Ceremony,” she encouraged everyone to do well to prepare for the Entrance Ceremony offering in 2025. Less than a month after the dedication ceremony, the date for the Entrance Ceremony was changed from 2024 to 2025.

Well, Mother came to precisely understand that there were many difficulties and problems with the overall construction of Cheon Won Gung that would affect the Entrance Ceremony. After realizing this, she changed the schedule. So she told the Heavenly Korean leaders to repeat after her regarding preparations for the Entrance Ceremony: “We will accomplish this even at the risk of our lives.”

All the Heavenly Korea leaders who were present repeated, “We will accomplish this even at the risk of our lives.” While having them repeat these words, Mother’s heart must have been painful and hurting greatly. But I think no one could have fully comprehended the meaning of that repetition and Mother’s heart.

These were the words Mother cried out to Heavenly Parent before they were spoken in the leaders’ declaration. This was Mother’s determination, Mother’s pledge, Mother’s decision.

From that point on, Mother invested all her devotion and effort for the victory of the Entrance Ceremony. She personally inspected and directed every aspect of the Cheon Won Gung construction from beginning to end. She went to inspect the site several times a week, and on some days she forced herself to conduct inspections twice a day.

Then, a year later, on June 6, 2024, at the 70th Anniversary of the Family Federation, she established a new central administration for Heaven’s providence, and she named it “Cheon Mu Won.” At that time, among the reasons for establishing Cheon Mu Won, her first words were, “I am going to establish a new organizational system for next year’s Entrance Ceremony for Heavenly Parent.” The victorious offering of the Entrance Ceremony was her first reason for establishing Cheon Mu Won.

As the interior and exterior of Cheon Won Gung reached completion, Mother now focused on preparing the more internal aspects which encapsulate the providential meaning, purpose, and direction - and the system, not only for the Entrance Ceremony but also for the next stage, the new time and era we must welcome. She did this because the eternal providential value and meaning for all generations of humanity must be continuously passed down and function in a virtuous cycle.

Therefore, she invested more devotion and effort here than in the Cheon Won Gung building itself, which more precisely means she focused on Cheon Mu Won, and on the development of the “Chambumo Ron,” the “Epic History of the Chosen Han People of Korea,” and the “Cheon Il Guk Praise Songs” centered on Cheon Mu Won.

The Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctuary Entrance Ceremony marks the day when, for the first time in 6,000 years, Heavenly Parent comes to earth and settles. It is the first day when, dwelling in the True Parents, Heavenly Parent begins life in the Kingdom of Heaven on earth together with the sons and daughters in the blessed families. It is also the beginning day when, through True Parents, Heavenly Parent directly governs and rules the world’s nation of true love and peace, Cheon Il Guk.

When we say directly govern and rule, it means that Cheon Il Guk is officially activated. This is why Mother refers to Cheon Won Gung as the Cheon Il Guk Central Administration.

An Era of Substantial Governance through True Love

Cheon Il Guk is a place where, under a sovereignty centered on Heavenly Parent, there is territory called Hyojeong Cheonwon and heavenly citizens who are blessed families. However, Cheon Il Guk cannot function based on external conditions alone. First, there must be an official organization that can operate the nation. Also, there must be a value system that all the citizens of Cheon Il Guk can share, and a history that serves as the mainstream narrative. These are the essential elements that activate a nation and make it sustainable.

It is from this perspective that Mother established the “Cheon Mu Won” as the central administration so that, Hyojeong Cheonwon could - centered on Cheon Won Gung - attain the full features of a Cheon Il Guk Central Government, similar to the Vatican City State in Rome.

And to express the shared values that Cheon Il Guk citizens should hold, she established the “Chambumo Ron,” which expresses the status and value of True Parents as seen through Heaven’s providence. The reason she held lecture and sermon competitions during last year’s “Cheon Won Gung Entrance Victory Resolution Week” was to rapidly disseminate Chambumo Ron throughout the world.

As the historical and providential view of Cheon Il Guk centered on Heavenly Parent, Mother introduced the “Epic History of the Chosen Han People of Korea.” On August 2, 2024, she finalized this name and afterward directed that workshops to teach its content be rapidly conducted in Korea and throughout the world. The reason was to clearly awaken us to the fact that the heavenly lineage made up of those who have received the Blessing through True Parents is the true chosen people, and to enable us to fulfill our responsibility as the chosen people in the face of this grace.

Additionally, to establish Cheon Il Guk culture and arts, Mother prepared the “Cheon Il Guk Praise Songs.” It was the morning of August 30 last year. Mother said, “For the first time in 6,000 years of heavenly providence and human history, at this occasion where we attend Heavenly Parent substantially, the blessed families and the new generations of the heavenly lineage must create Entrance Ceremony praise songs, create performances, and form praise teams to offer gratitude and glory.” Therefore, Cheon Mu Won gathered Unification family musicians from around the world and, centered on Cheonshim Cultural Center, created praise songs through a 40-day period of production and special devotion.

True Mother’s focus was not confined to just the music and performance areas. While making it clear that the fine arts field must also be established as Cheon Il Guk culture, she gave instructions to paint the “Epic History of the Chosen Han People of Korea” as artwork on a level comparable to the Cheonil Seonghwa artworks. So, starting from August of last year, 12 Family Federation artists devoted themselves day and night to creating 13 paintings of the Epic History, which were completed in March of this year. Each piece is a masterpiece over 6 meters wide and 3 meters high. The birth of the Only Begotten Daughter centered on the Korean people and the narrative of providential dispensation are emotionally expressed, with Mother herself setting the narrative and core images to be used in each artwork.

In order to respond 120% to this purpose, Cheon Mu Won also established the overall plan for the Entrance Ceremony while offering a Special Seven-Day Devotion for the Victory of the Entrance Ceremony at Cheonshim Won, and established an Integrated Operations Headquarters and Organizing Committee, including than 15 task forces to handle specific areas of responsibility.

In this way, Mother set up the preparations for the Entrance Ceremony comprehensively with deep devotion, treating each day like a thousand years, and in Cheon Il Guk year 13, a year featuring the number of completion, finally achieved an irreversible providential great transformation both internally and externally. With that indomitable will of continually advancing without resting even for a single day, she has led all of us, all humankind, into a new era, a new chapter of history.

Within the big picture, Mother first opened the realm for life in the era of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth where we live by substantially attending the Creator, Heavenly Parent, in the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk. Mother expressed this blessing of the new era in her New Year’s motto, stating that it is the greatest grace continuing for generations, not just for the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk.

Also, Mother restored the providential status of Heavenly Mother, which had been concealed for 6,000 years, and stated that the true nature of Heavenly Mother is embodied in Holy Mother Han, and that the birth of true life in the heavenly bloodline is achieved through Holy Mother Han. In doing so, she gave us the special grace to be able to pray in gratitude as blessed families that attend Holy Mother.

And just yesterday, through the victory of the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum Entrance Ceremony, she established the era of substantial rule of love where Heavenly Parent settles on earth and can directly administer the providence.

In this way, Mother has opened a great new era for our global blessed family community and all humankind.

Cheon Il Guk Leaders Fulfilling True Mother’s Expectations

I can still vividly hear Mother’s words from the morning meeting on October 15 last year. While giving various directions regarding the preparation for the Entrance Ceremony, she suddenly said: “Heaven only tells me to endure until the end…”

From that voice saying “Heaven only tells me to endure until the end” amidst a difficult, long breath, I once again deeply realized how difficult a course Mother is walking, feeling the heart of Heavenly Parent completely and being fully one with Heavenly Parent, and how much she is struggling to prepare for the Entrance Ceremony. Nevertheless, even after that, while leading her 80-year-old physical body, Mother continued to advance without resting for a single day, without sleeping comfortably for a single night.

The reports submitted by Cheon Mu Won on the preparation and progress of the Entrance Ceremony exceed 1,000 pages over the past nine months. Mother listened to all of this tremendous volume of reports for several hours every day. It didn’t end with just listening. She also gave directions and made corrections for each one of those plans and their progress. We cannot imagine how much she focused on them and reviewed them. We cannot imagine how much patience she had with our shortcomings while guiding us so that we could go in the right direction.

Mother is the Mother of Peace who wipes away humanity’s tears, the True Parent of humankind, and the manifestation of Heavenly Mother, Holy Mother Han. However, when it comes to Cheon Il Guk, she is its founder and nation-builder. And she is the true leader of Cheon Il Guk, the eternal model and exemplar of Cheon Il Guk.

Through her journey over the past 13 years, Mother has personally shown us, who are called Cheon Il Guk leaders, what a Cheon Il Guk leader is. Through her noble life and career, she has eloquently demonstrated and testified to what mindset, attitude, and posture a Cheon Il Guk leader should have.

Seeing this image of Mother, this life of Mother, makes those of us who bear the name of Cheon Il Guk leaders reflect on ourselves again today. And I think about how we can become true leaders that Mother desires, Cheon Il Guk leaders who can meet Mother’s expectations.

Matthew 5:4 says, “Blessed are those who mourn,” and I think that if we deeply mourn in our hearts as we seek to respond to Mother’s expectations, that is a blessed attitude, a righteous appearance, and a true step toward becoming Cheon Il Guk leaders.

Mother bestowed plaques with the Holy Mother Han seal and special holy items to 1,265 Cheon Il Guk contributors who have worked in the worldwide providence at least 30, 40, or 50 years. She personally presided over the award ceremony for the contributors from the parent nations of the providence, Heavenly Korea and Heavenly Japan, on March 18, personally presenting each award one by one.

We had arranged for only a few representatives to receive them directly since we did not want her to overexert herself, with the rest of the recipients just taking group photos with True Mother, and receiving their awards from the regional presidents. However, Mother said she would personally give the awards to each person no matter how many hours it took.

That statement really moved my heart. But I was very worried about the great physical strain it would put on Mother. Nevertheless, Mother delivered the medals to each contributor as she said she would. Everyone was greatly pleased, and it was a time of deep grace and love.

However, at the next day’s meeting, as Mother listened to the testimonies of the elder members, she said, “Actually, my arm hurt a lot.” Then she added, “What I have done goes directly to the spirit world. Therefore, the spirit world knows that I remember the names of those who have been with me until the end.” From this, we could once again clearly realize how much Mother cherishes and loves each and every Cheon Il Guk leader.

Respected leaders, the position of a Cheon Il Guk leader is certainly a blessed position, a glorious position. Being in this position is a great blessing and grace.

However, Mother also clearly stated that we should not just receive. She said that responsibility is important and that we should be leaders who fulfill our responsibilities.

Mother, who gives generously and thinks about whether there is anything more she can give, is truly True Mother, the substance of Heavenly Mother who existed before creation, Holy Mother Han.

I firmly resolve that we will be those who repay her grace and love. Everybody, please send her a big round of applause in gratitude Cheon Il Guk 13 is an incredibly blessed and glorious year. I hope that we will once again resolve to fulfill our responsibilities as Cheon Il Guk leaders in this great and holy golden age. And I hope this Cheon Il Guk Leaders’ Assembly will be one where each of us can passionately make a new start.
