You are cordially invited to attend the 2nd American Leadership Conference (ALC): Discovering a New Paradigm to Address Our Critical Challenges Saturday, May 20th , 2017, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, 3600 New York Ave., NE, Washington, DC 20002. Registration and breakfast will be served from 8:30 am.

ALC is co-sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) – USA, and The Washington Times Foundation. UPF is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Both UPF and The Washington Times Foundation were founded by the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon and his wife, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who together also founded The Washington Times.

Conference participants will include distinguished leaders from the Greater Washington, DC and neighbouring states representing non-profit, business, faith, political, cultural and academic sectors.

Our aim is to secure lasting peace, freedom, human dignity and prosperity not only for America, but for all nations that are willing to move into a new era of mutual respect, cooperation and shared responsibility for future generations. We hold that America is in the central role at this time to lead the way to a better future. And we need to do this together, as one nation.

We explore the following core topics through dynamic interactive sessions:

• The question of origins and worldviews • Principles and best practices of true character, leadership, and good governance • Marriage and family as our essential resource • Building community and civil society beyond the boundaries of race and religion • America as God’s hope – is this even possible today? (Yes.)

The conference will provide the easy-to-read and well-organized ALC Sourcebook 2017 that outlines material presented as a basis for reflection and discussion at the conference.

The ALC general registration fee is $20 and $10 for UPF paid members. $25 for onsight registration. Parking is free.
