You are cordially invited to attend the American Leadership Conference: Discovering a New Paradigm to Address Our Critical Challenges, to be held on March 11, 2017, 11:00 am – 5:30 pm, at 4 West 43rd Street, Main Hall, New York, NY 10036.
This conference is co-sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation – USA (UPF), The Washington Times Foundation, and Sun International Peace Federation. UPF is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Both UPF and The Washington Times Foundation were founded by the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon and his wife, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who together also founded The Washington Times.
Conference participants will include distinguished leaders from the New York Metropolitan area representing non-profit, business, faith, political, cultural and academic sectors. We will explore how to improve effectiveness, find deeper meaning and generate new connectivity for the sake of the family, community, nation and world. We sincerely respect your leadership and believe that your participation in this unique event will contribute to its success.
In this time of rapid change, social disruption, global inter-connectedness, pervasive media, and divisive politics – our community and nations’ values, cultures and traditions are being meshed, challenged, uprooted, and redefined. You may share a growing awareness among leaders throughout America that we need a new paradigm through which to view, understand and resolve the critical challenges of our time. And we need to do this together, as one nation.
Our country is going through a critical moment in history. We must stand on a moral and principled worldview that offers strong and clear, yet compassionate leadership. Our aim is to secure peace and prosperity not only for America, but for all nations that are willing to move into a new era of mutual respect, cooperation and shared responsibility for future generations. We hold that America is in the central role at this time to lead the way to a better future.
It’s people like you, who stand at the forefront to make a difference in your sphere of influence, that are the real source of hope for our communities and nation. Together, based on timeless and faith-based principles, new wisdom and persistent practice, we seek to provide even greater value to all those we serve.

That’s why we invite you to join this upcoming American Leadership Conference (ALC) as we explore the following core topics through dynamic interactive sessions:
• Principles and best practices of true leadership, character and governance • Marriage and family as our essential resource • Building community and civil society beyond the boundaries of race and religion • America as God’s hope – is this even possible today? (Yes.)
In addition to the facilitated roundtable discussion sessions, we have invited several expert guest speakers who will provide briefings on the recent global expansion of UPF, Ambassadors of Peace, the launch of the new International Parliamentarians for Peace and fact-finding trips to a geo-political nerve center in Northeast Asia. We’ll let you know the final schedule and speakers in the next week or so.
You will also receive the easy-to-read and well-organized ALC Sourcebook 2017 that outlines material presented as a basis for reflection and discussion at the conference. This valuable resource binder includes valuable insights you can share on character, marriage, parenting, leadership, and America’s role to serve the global family of nations with excerpts from our founders and other globally significant thought-leaders. You’ll also receive several tools to use in crafting a roadmap for your own vision, goals and projects based on our work together.
A delicious lunch will be provided catered by the popular Brooklyn restaurant, Yayo’s. Finally, our Saturday conference experience will be enhanced with the inspirational music of our good friend and colleague, Grammy Award Nominee, Bruce Stephen Foster.
The ALC Registration fee is only $30 online or $35 at the door. Please RSVP and register online at: upf-alcny.eventbrite.com. Seating is limited, so we encourage you to register right away!
