YSP Pilipinas Misamis Occidental's S!NERGY MISOCC 2021 Competition

To all aspiring Youth and Student!

We are glad to announce that the Youth and Students for Peace - Pilipinas Misamis Occidental Chapter will soon be hosting the S!NERGY MISOCC 2021 COMPETITION on August 12, 2021 in celebration of International Youth Day and the annual Linggo ng Kabataan.

S!NERGY is an engaging and dynamic public speaking competition for students to share their projects and innovative ideas.

A group of distinguished judges from the community/nation selects the best presentation(s). The content and compassion of the young minds and hearts always inspire the judges and audience.

Theme: “The Role of Youth in Resolving Conflicts and Achieving SDGs.”

How to join?

* Submit a pre-recorded video of yourself (minimum of 30 sec. and maximum of 90 seconds)

* Content of the video involves introducing oneself (name, age, address, and affiliation) and the things you have done in your community, and if there are current projects that you are involved in.

* Video covered at least half of the body (in formal attire would be best). Make sure to check the quality of the video (audio and video). Video quality is encouraged to be at least 480p resolution. A high definition is best. (720p and 1080p)

* Submit your pre-recorded video at yspmisoccchapter@gmail.com (filename should be S!NERGY_ENTRY_FOR_SCREENING_LAST NAME - with a SUBJECT: S!NERGY ENTRY FOR SCREENING)

* You will be notified if you qualified after the screening and shall be given further instructions right away.

Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 15 to 30 years old.

2. Belonging to the ff. categories: High School, Senior High School or University Students and Young Professionals.

3. Is a bonafide Filipino Citizen and is currently living in Misamis Occidental.

4. Able to speak in the English language fluently. (Competition will be done using the English language)

5. Have strength in public speaking and passion in doing community activities and programs.

6. Currently doing projects or have done certain projects which support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

7. Willing to take necessary follow up training which is a pre-requisite to the said competition.

8. Ready to collaborate and work with the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace.

1. Winners of the competition could get a chance to join the National, Regional Asia-Pacific S!NERGY Level Competition in 2021 and also a chance to compete on the World Stage Level Competition in the main Headquarters in Korea.

2. Get recognition by the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace - Pilipinas and have the chance to be exposed to the National Level and beyond.

3. Hone one’s skills in public speaking and project creation.

4. Become a contributor to solutions to the world’s problems.

5. Engage with different people coming from different backgrounds.

6. Become a Peace-Loving Global Citizen.

7. Get a chance to be awarded as Peace Maker Awardee.
