My Brother Khaled's Spiritual Experience: Spiritual world behind the True Parents

In the twenty first century, the Spiritual world is engaged in God’s providence with families that were chosen to receive the Messiah, helping them through dreams and spiritual experiences. I can only say, most of my family received dreams and spiritual experiences that cannot be denied.

Here is another story about my brother Khaled acknowledging the power of the spiritual world behind the True Parents. In fact my sister Rhadia experienced a similar experience which I will share in my next post. Khaled had this experience during the early months from the time I met and joined the Unification Movement, but had kept it secret for almost 17 years, until I visited home approximately 10 years ago.. Khaled’s story is not a dream, but a paranormal experience that he never forgot. The following is his story.

Back in 1982, approximately six months after I joined the Unification Church, I sent my family a long letter informing them of my new life commitment and about my joining the Unification Movement. In the same envelope, I sent them pictures of the Rev. and Mrs. Moon, one picture for each one of them, and told them to keep the picture next to their beds. I explained to them the importance of the True Parents and that they should pay their respects to them. In return, the True Parents would bless and protect them. And this is how Khaled’s story started.

One day, while he was away in the capital city (Tunis) staying at a hotel in a famous village called Sidi Bou-said, Khaled went out with friends and returned to his motel room. Later that night, as he lay on his bed, something prompted him to look at some of the pictures in his wallet. One of the ones he looked at was the picture of the Rev. and Mrs. Moon. He looked at it for a moment and then began to talk to the picture as if he were talking to the Moons face to face. He addressed his disappointment and resentment against them for taking his brother (me) from them and leaving them in financial shame. ( I must add, before I met the church I was the financial pillar to parents)

After he poured out his heart, he spat at the photo, tore it into pieces, threw it into the garbage can, and returned to his bed. A few minutes later, as he began to relax, an unusual and very frightening thing happened. A spirit in the form of a person came and struck him across his cheeks as if to teach him a lesson! He got up, trembling with fear. The smacks felt very real, but he could not see anything! There was no physical presence.

After thinking about the strange experience for a while, he doubted it was real. He went back to bed, but was attacked again, this time receiving stronger smacks. He jumped out of his bed, realizing that he possibly made a big mistake with Moon, and that he might actually be a good prophet. He then went to the garbage can, picked out all the pieces of the photograph, put them together, and began to pray, asking Moon to forgive him. That night, he did not sleep until the sun rose! Since that experience, Khaled has been very cautious, and never said a bad thing about Moon nor tried to dissuade me from following him!

Many people wonder why members of the Unification Church have so much love and loyalty to Moon. They only think of it as “brainwashing.” But they forget that the earlier believers of any religion, whether it was Islam or Christianity, had the same love and loyalty to their religion’s founders, Mohammed and Jesus. Personally, my love for Moon grew ever stronger because he had awakened my spiritual senses and made me discover the loving God who was lying dormant in me. God’s love can be experienced personally and is very intoxicating. This was a love that I had never experienced or known before. The “Water of Life Dream”, published in my books expresses clearly how deep my love and loyalty was for Moon. Though I named the dream, “Water of Life,” it wasn’t literally water. It was a supernatural element, sort of a “supernatural drink of life.” Personally, I understood it to be the holy wine that is offered during the Marriage Blessing in the Unification Movement.
