Cranes Club Launch Event Summary
2016-01-00 · Source: tparents.org
We hope you have had a good start to the year and we’re happy to share a summary of our first Crane’s Club Conference after last year’s initial launch event in Austria with True Mother. This first conference has been an important starting point and a number of key decisions were taken by the representatives present. We hope that through its success we can make this an inspiring and useful club to its members.
Summary of First Cranes Club Conference
The conference was held in Bad-Camberg, Germany from January 8th – 10th. We had a tightly packed 2- day schedule with the opening on Friday evening and departures on Sunday midday. One main goal of the conference was to discuss and agree upon a formalised working structure for the Cranes Club and its members. We had a number of proposals put forward before and during the conference and over the course of the 2 days they were refined and finally voted on. Also there were a number of networking sessions and speeches given by various specialists from different fields ranging from entrepreneurs to doctors to board executives.
We had a total of 60 participants at the conference, and on the last day we held an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to make official decisions on the future of the Cranes Club. It was decided for this initial year to not form a legal entity, but instead take a project based approach, with each project having a Project Manager responsible for ensuring that the project gets completed. There would also be one General Manager to oversee the project managers, handle the general admin and finances, and also manage the relationship with FFWPU. In addition to the structure and projects, the membership criteria was also discussed and voted upon. The decisions made will be in effect for the upcoming year but will of course be open to improvement and development; with the next voting to take place at the next AGM. The final outcome of the voting can be seen at the end of this email.
More details about each project will be communicated as they develop, and we hope that these initiatives prove to be very valuable for every Cranes Club Member. The current benefits for Cranes Club members will be:
1. Access to the mentoring program and member database currently being developed
2. Strong network of young professionals
3. Right to vote in the 2017 AGM to decide the direction and future of the Cranes Club Europe
Quarterly newsletter with industry specific updates, job openings, and announcement for members
