“Hey?! Were you there at Get Wise last month? Get W.I.S.E. Well, you should have been there because we did lots of AWESOME stuff! Some ‘stuff’ we did were “make your own religion” or “dodgeball with mini-balls.” Not only did we have a GREAT time, we also learned some ‘stuff’ too. Last month’s theme was on religion. We learned lots about Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism. If you haven’t been going, you’re missing out DDUUDDDEE!!! Come to the next one! (o_O’) ” - Erika Hayasaka

“GET WISE is super sweet! The activities are great fun, and the talks are even better. It’s a great time to get together with friends and fellowship and the talks are even better. Last month we learned about other religions such as Islam and Buddhism; I saw how religions have so much in common, and how our church theology is so logical compared to others. It’s really a great time, you learn a lot, and get to fellowship with your friends.” - Ethan Young

More Youth Ministry Fun MS Girls Group Guys’ Night There was only one group get together this month, but it was still “Guys night was pretty cool; filled with fun. The girls group was nice atmosphere and great held on the last Friday of the people. We started off the month from 5 PM to 8 PM. The night playing Jenga. The girls gathered at the Lamson’s game was intense and was house for fellowship followed by a really fun. Afterwards we walk to the Nishio’s house. At the started a game of Taboo. Reverend Lamson because we all thought he was going to Korea, Although it was hard, we all unfortunately he ended up not enjoyed it a lot. We wrapped going. The girls were able to enjoy the day up with a nice dinner together and another nice evening of Karaoke. Open Mic “I think that open mic night was really good and really nice. It was really lively, I feel that everyone had a good time. Chris Alan being there definitely made it a little bit more special.” -Kyoko Biddle

Valentine’s Day Valentine’s Day was February 14th. Many of the youth were able to join together for a weekend of fun. There was one stand set up with brave volunteers. There were several teams that went shop to shop selling flowers, too. The youth all together made almost $900! Thank you for all the support and especially to all the youth that helped volunteer!

Blessing Workshop UTS—Barrytown, NY—January 29th to the 31st Chicago Family Church—Chicago, IL— February 5th to the 7th

Both were workshops for those 17 and older. The main speaker at both workshops were Reverend Schanker.

“The blessing workshop was great. I loved Reverend Schanker’s pragmatic approach to explaining the DP. Rev. Schanker’s views on the purpose of creation and the 4 realms of heart were closely in sync with mine, which was awesome. I know now that I am not ready to go to the blessing any time soon. The workshop also made me feel that once you have the second blessing the first blessing is annihilated so I feel pressure to be as fruitful as I can before it’s too late…” - Mitch Akutsu

“I really, really liked this workshop. Having a lot of lectures was especially nice. Before the workshop, I was feeling a little down, but with this workshop I felt so inspired and learned so much through Reverend Schanker and the group discussions. It was fantastic and I want to go again and again and again.” - Emma
